Chapter 10

As much as Sebastian hated to abandon a beautiful lady, If it was an order from his master he had to. Cleaning up the aftermath of his master's dinner, he couldn't help but remember the cat, with her silky fur and large eyes and the seemingly otherworldly presence she had. It pained him to let her go. She was the only cat he had come across in a while and, as he placed the dishes into the sink, hoped she would find a good place to live.

So when a soft meow reached his ears, he turned and stared wide eyed, surprised to find large golden eyes lingering on his own.

"Oh dear, you shouldn't be here," he said, abandoning the dishes to pick her up.

The cat purred and nestled herself against the front of his chest and Sebastian couldn't stop the blush from appearing on his cheeks.

Although he had placed her outside, he was slightly perplexed at how she got in the kitchen and managed to find him.

The cat meowed and gently swiped upwards with her paw. Sebastian chuckled and rubbed her belly earning another purr from her.

The bell rang and Sebastian's eyes landed on a small slip of paper seemingly tucked into her collar.

"What's this?" he murmured, gently pulling the slip of paper out.

After reading the contents, a sly smirk found a way to his lips, "Miss Naka, it seems you are a messenger cat, what a dangerous occupation," Sebastian murmured, earning a loud meow in response.

Sebastian placed the slip of paper back into her collar and set the cat down. He then grabbed a small slice of salmon and gave it to her.

The cat gobbled up the salmon greedily and licked her paw.

Sebastian chuckled and picked her up again. He then carried her out the back door of the kitchen and placed her outside.

"I hope to see you again," he said.

The cat trotted forwards before glancing back at him and meowing loudly. She then continued forwards.

A bell rang signalling for his presence and Sebastian quickly created tea and small cake snacks before heading to his master's side.

Opening the door to Ciel's study room he placed the tea and small cakes on his master's desk before stepping back.

"Sebastian, you're going to pay those vampires a visit," Ciel stated. "You said they had multiple strongholds across Japan. I want the exact number and detailed maps of them all. That's an order."

"As you wish," Sebastian responded.

"What's so funny?" Ciel questioned, his eyes narrowing.

"Nothing, I will be back shortly" Sebastian responded, bowing before leaving the study room.

Once he was out of earshot he sighed heavily, "The master certainly is impatient. Planning an attack so soon."

In a split second, Sebastian departed the mansion and made his way to the first base he had encountered.

He paused atop a crumbling building to see a small group of vampires standing around, no doubt on guard duty. With a smirk, Sebastian pulled out his knives. Since killing vampires was slightly different than killing animals, or humans for that matter, Sebastian infused the blades with his demonic energy which turned them a dark black.

Wasting no time, he leaped from the building catching the vampires' gazes. But before they could respond, Sebastian spun around in the air as his knives flew from his fingers and promptly lodging them deep into the vampires' chests. When he landed, the vampires had turned to ash.

"What's that noise?"

Sebastian turned to meet the eyes of the last vampire in the area. The vampire immediately drew his weapon but Sebastian was faster. Before he could utter another word, Sebastian had ripped his cloak from him and stabbed him from behind.

The vampire immediately turned to ash and Sebastian placed the cloak over his shoulders.

"This should suffice," he murmured.

Sebastian then began to head into the vampires base Sanguinem.
