Sandra Hamilton

I woke up to a white ceiling and as I looked at Lee's handsome face, I knew he had seen me again in my worst state. I cringed at the thought.

"Andra! Anong masakit? May masakit sayo?" He hurried to my side and I managed a tight smile. I sat up and he helped me.

"Walang masakit. May naalala lang. Bakit ako andito at nasaan tayo?" I asked him.

Kristine came up from behind the curtain with the doctor beside her.

"You blacked out, girl." She said and I sighed.

"Sorry for disturbing you, Doc. Ganito lang po ako kapag magkakaron." I told her and I began to wear my sandals.

"Are you sure, you're okay, Miss Hamilton?" Dra. Toribio asked, unsure if she will discharge me now.

"Yes po. Pasensya na po ulit." I said trying to convince her to let me go.

"Okay. Just put on some hot compress if your tummy aches. For headaches, I think it's better if you will take a rest for a while." Dra. Toribio instructed me and I nodded.

"Thank you po, Dra." Lee Peter, my bestfriend, smiled at her as we left the clinic.

"I'm sure, gutom na gutom ka na." Lee commented and just like that, my stomach grumbled on cue.
Kristine, Lee and me all laughed at myself

"Ha-ha. Ganyan kayo. Kain na tayooo." I scoffed and pouted like a kid.

"As you wish, Madame." Lee grinned at me and we headed back to the food court.

"Sorry, nasira ko ang lunch natin, girl." I said to Kristine as we sat on a vacant chair near one of the counters.

"Ano ka ba, wala namang may gusto ng nangyari." Kristine shook her head. "Besides, I wouldn't be able to eat knowing you are not okay. Buti na lang andyan si Lee. Lifesaver Lee to the rescue!"

"Ako lang to!" Lee joked and we laughed even more. "Teka, order lang ako ng desserts natin. Usual, right?"

Me and Kristine both nodded and she began unloading the foods she ordered for us earlier.

"I have to give it to Lee. Always present whenever you need him. May radar ba iyang lalaking yan?" Kristine commented and I shrugged.

I smelled the aroma of the sweet and  sour fish that I craved a while ago and, thankfully, Lee arrived with his order of dumplings and our desserts.

"Finally!" Kristine exclaimed and we started eating our foods.

"So, saan ka galing, Lee? How come you were here earlier?" I asked.

"May audition ako for a TVC kanina and then, I wanted to have lunch here for a change when I saw you looking lost and pale." He said and chomped down the food.

"Seriously, girl, magpacheck up ka na kaya!" Kristine said and I smiled.

"Thanks for your concerns, guys, but I am fine." I said, convincing them again.

No one knows that I have been seeing my psychologist for quite some time since the accident I had about two years ago.

And, I don't intend to let them know about it soon.

3rd Person's POV

As the three friends ate their lunch, the woman awhile ago who walked out of the food court was skeptic where she will go next.

The fear started to consummate her once again. She had long been avoiding vans ever since she grew up.

It was like a memory she never wished to remember but always haunts her every time.

Oliver calling...

She sighed and stopped for a while. She searched for a vacant spot where she can sit for a moment and answered the call.

"Best..." she said and was greeted with him looking for her frantically.

"Asan ka na namang babaita ka! Hindi ka umattend ng session mo kay Dra. Clements!" He exclaimed in frustration.

"I'm sorry. Hindi ko namalayan ang oras." She apologized and he exhaled  trying to cover up his disappointment at her.

"This is the last time that I will be helping you. How will you get better if ayaw mong tulungan ang sarili mo?" He pointed out and she knew at that moment that he will give up on her any time if she wouldn't behave.

"Promise. Sa susunod, aattend na ako. Sorry, sorry, sorry talaga." She apologized once again.

"Ano pa nga ba! Asan ka ba kasi?" He pressed on again and she was torn between telling him where she is.

"Pauwi na rin ako. Don't worry." She said instead and he let her be.

Immediately, she hailed a cab and instructed him the way home.
