Chapter Five

Sandra Hamilton

I sighed as I arranged the rack of dresses and outfits for the two big events this year for Kara Hampton's concert and comeback showdown at the LIVE Sunday program. The former will happen in two weeks time and the last will be a week after.

A pink longsleeve Chinese-collared blouse and a black leather skirt. A black choker will also come along with it as well as the knee-high black boots.

For the second and third costume change, will be a white haltered dress and a blue bandage dress, respectively. The concert will last for two hours maximum including 30 minutes break in between.

The outfit for the comeback showdown is much easier to handle since it wouldn't last too long and it isn't much of the highlight of the show.

As soon as I have finished choosing and arranging the outfits and costumes, I had them secured and called Kristine to inform her road manager, Glen, to pick them up. It didn't take them long enough to get the clothes and shortly after, I received the full payment for my service.

My thoughts were distracted when my phone rang. Frowning in curiosity, I checked who it was.
Seeing John Morada's name on my screen, I rejected his call.

He has been bugging me for some time and I am terribly annoyed with his demeanor. I told him I don't have the time to date and I only see him as a friend but he seemed to not hear a thing I have said.

As I was searching the internet for outfit style ideas, a ring interrupted my focus. Sighing in frustration, I picked it up and answered, "ano ba? Hindi ka ba talaga titigil? Isa pang tawag mo, ibablock na kita!"

"Best! Easy! Hey! Ang gwapong-gwapo na bestfriend mo!" It was Lee's voice and I exhaled.
"Okay ka lang? Anong nangyari?"

"Nothing. Some creep has been bugging me for days. Sorry. Akala ko ikaw yun." I apologized and leaned my back against my executive chair.

"I understand. Anyways, I called to ask if you are free by next weekend?" He asked and my forehead creased in amusement.

I pulled out my planner and checked my schedule. Thankfully, it was vacant for the whole week.

"I am free the whole week. Why?" I asked him.

"Well, I have booked us a trip to Ilocos for three days and two nights. I thought we could use a break." He said and I could just imagine his excited grin.

"Hmmm... I guess, I can handle that." I said, feeling ecstatic as well. The idea of having to rest and travel is one of the joyous moments I always look forward to. It has been a while since I traveled and really enjoyed the outdoors.

"Really? Yehey! Great! Excited na ako! Yahoo!" Lee exclaimed and I laughed at his reaction.

"Happy yarn?" I asked sarcastically and he roared in response.

"Oo naman! Ang tagal ng huling gala talaga natin, bestie!" Lee remarked defensively and I rolled my eyes.

"Ang dami mong time na magbook ng hotels and trips ha. Mukhang nakajackpot ka sa huling raket mo ha!" I commented and I could almost imagine him scratching his nape with my snide remarks.

"Secret, walang clue!" He said amusingly and I heard voices in the background, "sige na. I have a client here. See you soon, bestie!"

"Alright! See you!" I bid my goodbye and hung up.

Seeing the notes for the trip awoke my travelling soul. Grinning to myself, I flipped on to the next vacant page and jotted down my things to bring for the next weekend.

I stared at myself at the mirror and noticed my brown-colored hair has started losing its color. I was torn between dyeing it again and cutting it short.

As I ran down my fingers through my shoulder-length hair, a vision snapped at me. It was of a moving vehicle.

I was screaming and then I felt something grazed my knees. Blood.
There was blood.

I winced in pain as I held my head between my hands as if to stop the pain that throbbed it. It was too much to handle.

The next thing I knew was I was on my bed. The pink ceiling greeted me and as I glanced at my phone on top of my dresser, I realized that it was past eleven in the morning.

"You passed out, earlier." My boyfriend, Zero Fuller, said as he approached me with a glass of water  in his hand. "I really hope you'll recover soon, love. Ako ang nahihirapan sa sitwasyon mo."

I sighed and sat on my bed. I drank the water and returned it on his hands. "Thanks, love. Believe me, I have been hoping that my memories so I can come back to work. It ruined my life. I cannot do things without those fragments of memories invading me without notice."

"Maybe, you need to see Dra. Serena more often?" He asked sounding doubtful.

"I will try to ask her." I smiled and he kissed me on my forehead. "Thanks for keeping up with me, love."

"I'm always here for you, love." He said, "always."
