Sidharth pov

Our gang was sitting at our usual spot.....Karthik had not yet come and it was Keerthi's first day at college....She said she is going to introduce Ditiya..her best friend today. That's when Adya proposed to rag freshers.

This was not my close friend Adya....Adya whom I knew was sweet and caring...not so evil...it's bcoz of those two idiots ...Ria and Priya....but I know that still the old Adya is buried deep in her. To bring her out...I have to kick the other two irritating species out of her life.

I turned around...not interested in Adya's ragging sessions...what do they get by making fun of innocent freshers.

That's when she called some girl.....she sounded so nervous...her voice was so sweet and.....melodious. Why do I feel like I heard this before.

Suddenly Keerthi and Karthik came...and said that she was Diti and started introducing her to everyone....when it was my turn I turned around and said a Hi.

That's when I realised I know her....

"You" I screamed....

"Listen...I am sorry for yesterday...I was in a hurry..." I went on

"Wait..... you guys know each other" Karthik asked with a questioning look.

"Um..we..m..met yesterday" Diti said....why does she sound so scared always.

"How" Karthik and Keerthi asked or rather screamed at the same time.

Then I started off.

Flashback

It was in the evening...

Suddenly Dadu got restless....He was loosing his breath. It was due to Asthama. I rushed up to find his inhaler...oh god...he has misplaced it.

I told mom and Akhil (My brother) to keep him warm and let him breathe and rushed to the medical shop.

After taking the inhaler I started running to my house...I was damn scared.

I was rushing...that's when I dashed someone...and heard something break. No not now.

"Can't you see" She screamed in frustration.

I went close to very her.....and we had a eye contact

"Listen miss....I am in hurry....I guess you live in the same locality...Let's settle this matter later" I said and rushed without waiting for her reply.

"Ditiya...I am really sorry"I said.....why do I feel so strange when I look at her.

"It's.....It's ok" Ugh...why is she so nervous...I want her to be free with us.....but why is it bothering me.

"By the way what did I break yesterday"I asked her hoping that it was not something valuable.

"It was Dinner set....mom loved it a lot" She said the last part with a hint of disappointment.

Oops....

"Can I buy you another set"

"No..no it's fine....anyway it was not your fault completely...even I was careless"How can someone be so simple....

"No..please ......I insist" am I being too formal....we are supposed to be friends right.

"SHUT UP....both of u" Keerthi screamed....my little sis is really a drama queen..."Bhai...you are being too formal....this person over here is my best friend...so she is your friend equally" I noticed Diti shift uncomfortably when Keerthi said this....and fear in her eyes.

And why am I so concerned about her...

"OK guys...time for class...got to go bye"Keerthi said...and all this Diti was quiet.

She is really interesting...I want to know more about her and I saw the same expression on Karthik's face. The way he speaks about her tells me that he likes her....I shouldn't feel that way right...

I just pushed away all the thoughts

"Bye"All of said together

"And if you both face any problems with seniors tell us"Karthik said out of concern

"Sure Bhai"Keerthi said and they left.

Keerthi pov

We started moving towards our class....

Within I reach let me tell about this gang....

I guess I have already told about both my brothers.

Avinash....he is the comedian of the gang..as well as the flirt. He keeps us away from something called 'Boredom'.

Adya......I used to love her. She was like a good sister and cared for me.....but when those two antique pieces joined her...she changed...she changed for the worse...it was too late when we realised.

Mukti di....she was sweet....but few circumstances changed her to a strong and tough girl.

This about all of them....

We reached the class ......time to make some friends of our age. I could see Diti shift uncomfortably.

We went a sat in a bench....after few minutes another girl came.

"Hey...do u mind if I sit here" She asked us politely.

"Yeah sure" I said

"Hi ...I am Ananya" She said ....she looked cheerful amd gave us a wide smile.

"Hey...Keerthi" I said forwarding my hand for a handshake....but to my surprise she hugged me...I was shocked.

"Isn't this how friends are supposed to greet friends" She said...I gave a nervous smile and hugged her back....weird.

She turned towards Diti.....I am sure she is scared.

"Hi....I am Ditiya" And the she gave the same hug.

And in time our professor entered and we begun introductions.....I was scared for Diti...but she somehow managed...thank god she is changing..

As we were continuing a notice came

"Tomorrow....you people will be having freshers party....which includes various games and programs...do participate and have fun" The professor announced.

Freshers party.....interesting.
