Chapter 3- Fun And Games
I went to go shower ,again, and tried to make myself look somewhat presentable before my friends arrived. I strip down and let the warm water race down my body before landing in a pool by my feet. The water was calming as it hit the tub, almost like the sound of rain...or a rapid heartbeat. I suddenly felt uncomfortable so i turned off the shower wrapping myself in a towel and heading off to my room to change into something more comfy. After rummaging around my room I find a clean pale blue tank top and some leggings to wear. The doorbell calls for me from downstairs telling me someone's arrived and I need to let them in. Whilst making my way down the stairs I tie my hair up to find Sasha at my door. Why was she here?
"Hurry up loser!" Her bossy and whiney voice slices through the silence that was once present on the property. Reluctantly I open the door as Sasha comes waltzing into my house.
"Um hi?" I say to her confusion lingering in my voice with a hint of annoyance.
"Heard of a sleepover! Thought I'd come see and hang around if you're cool with that?"
"Sure I guess..." I was shocked. Sasha wanted to chill with us? Well then I guess she's staying too now. I followed after Sasha closing the door and continued to set up for when the others arrive; after Sasha was done complaining about breaking a nail. I messaged everyone the details for the night had that Sasha was staying with us too, as they all made their way over. Mel brought a Ouija board and Ash brought a bag of 'real skulls' from her room along with wired objects in liquids; probably for her ritual horror story- it's a classic. Once Sam and Max arrived we headed upstairs locking the doors, leaving the kitchen light on since it was near to the stairs. We pile into my room as I draw the curtains leaving the door open and my lamp on. Everyone sat down and chatted for a while until Max excused himself to use the bathroom, followed by Sam who went to get a drink. The rest of us continued to talk and eat snacks whilst we waited for the others to return. Sasha was painting her nails and Mel had her head stuck in some manga when I heard a noise. I went quiet all of a sudden, Mel looked confused on why I'd suddenly stopped talking. The noise broke the silence once again. Everyone was aware now, we weren't alone...
"Sam?! Max?!" I was panicking.
"You guys ok?! Please answer I'm scared!" I yelled out my foot into the void of darkness. No reply. Everyone was worried now, even Ash looked uneasy about the boys being gone for so long. The noise broke the silence once more but was followed by a loud thud coming from downstairs. Sasha looked terrified and I couldn't blame the poor girl. After a couple of minutes Ash spoke up.
"I'll go check on them if you want? Or I'll lead the way and we can all go." Honestly I preferred the second option but I had little time to think when a scream broke the deadly silence. A scream that I know too well.
"Sam!" We all shouted in unison knowing that the scream came from the boy. Ash raced downstairs and stood still in the doorway followed by Sasha who screamed at what was in front of her. I was too scared to follow but after hesitating I soon made my way after them and I saw why Sasja screamed. There was a clown in my house grabbing one of my friends.
"Sam!" I practically screamed at the top of my lungs but was unsure if it was because of the clown or the fact my friend was in danger. Sasha backed up as the clown came closer, Ash soon following her heading upstairs to get out the way of this person in my home. I backed up soon stopped by the stairs. My heart was pounding but all of a sudden it felt as if time had stopped. The clown has a knife now, and it was pressed against Sam's neck. Silence enveloped the house as the once silver blade hit the floor now painted in red. I couldn't move. I couldn't breathe. I couldn't believe what had happened. The light once visible was soon blocked out by the figure stood in front of me. I shut my eyes waiting for impact but it never came. Someone was shaking my shoulder. My eyes opened to find Max and Sam in front of me. I was so confused, I though Sam was dead yet he's stood here in front of me. I was so confused. Then I saw Max wearing a clown costume... Then it clicked.
"You're so dead!!" I yelled at the top of my voice and got up. Anger was racing through my veins. Max and Sam ran upstairs and presumably hid from me as I chased them. Ash grabbed me trying to clam me down as Sasha cleaned up. The boys had ran into another room and Mel went to go find them. She didn't come back. Some time had passed and there was still no sign of Mel or the boys. I searched the house but there was no trace of anyone, so I grabbed a jacket and went outback to look for them. As I was about to open the door the doorbell went off.
"Why would anyone be out this late?" I jumped as I heard Sasha not too far behind me. I wasn't too sure either but I think I had a good idea on who it was. Sasha had left me to my thoughts as she checked who was at the door whilst I went to the garden. The sky was jet black, glittering with stars giving off small glints of light over the sleeping world.
"Sam quiet!" Max's voice distracted me from my thoughts as I heard giggling from Sam. Relaxing a little I followed the sound to find the two boys cuddled up together by a candle stargazing as Mel fangirled.
"Not to intrude on this precious moment but did any of you ring the doorbell before coming out here?" Everyone jumped and the boys quickly moved apart before looking confused.
"After you chased them, then went to clam down, I lead them outside to keep out the way." Mel explained to me but the question still remained...who was at my door. The lights from inside my house started to flicker before cutting out completely. That's when I heard a Sasha screaming from inside. I ran to the door desperate to get inside but the lock wouldn't come loose. I peered into the window trying to find any reason for the door to be locked only to be greeted by two bright yellow eyes staring back at me. Startled I fell back landing on a hard object in the process. Max pulled me away from the door as it slowly creaked open to reveal a juggling ball. A highly pitch voice surrounded us as Sasha came running out the door with tears falling from her eyes as Ash came out after ever looking just as worried.
"We like games..." The high pitch voice spoke knowing we were all listening. A chorus of laugher followed the statement.
"We liked Tag... If you wanna play start running or else..." A different voice chimed in as the others laughed once more. The garden gate groaned on its rusty hinges moved once again allowing us to leave the safety of my garden and play this creepy game with clowns? We all ran until it was safe.
"Max please tell me this is some joke of yours again!" Sasha whispered clearly terrified. Max gave no response and only stared. Following his gaze I saw what he was looking at. Clowns...they were following us somehow despite the darkness.
"Sasha look out!" Sam yelled as he started to run soon followed by his boyfriend,Ash and Mel. Sasha was frozen to the spot and I didn't blame her, this was her biggest fear after all. A pair of familiar yellow eyes soon appeared before Sasha as it grabbed her, pulling her into the darkness leaving me alone. I was feeling dizzy, my head m throbbing then next thing I know everything went black.
As I woke up my vision was hazy as I had expected considering I'd just passed out. I was in a tent of some sort, I could hear clowns, Sasha and Max?! Why was Max there too?! He ran with the others! How would those clowns have got him? I had so many questions racing round my mind but no answers to satisfy them. My eyes were covered but I scanned the room as well as I could then heard another set of voices amount the clowns. Sam,Mel and Ash were walking in, hands tied behind their backs. (I couldn't see but I think having their hands tied behind their backs would make it harder for them to leave). Before I could find out any more my vision started fading out again but the last thing I saw was myself in a corner watching whatever was going on in the now blurry scene.
The air was cold when I woke up for a second time, w blindfold was covering my eyes but I still had an idea as to where I was. High pitch laughter filled the tent as a girl whimpered in fear. Just as I'd seen another 3 voices filled the room. Sam, Mel and Ash. Another brush of cold air runs over me but this time it only got colder instead of leaving. The room felt dead and once my blindfold was removed I could see why. Lining the tent walls was blood splatters and images of children with two dates underneath them. Max and Sasha were tied up to chairs whilst my other friends were tied together. None of this was making sense. The pictures and dates or the fact that i dreamt of ending up here and it happened...
