Chapter 32- Revealing Clues and Memories
Third person POV
Everyone in this world would either have a beautiful moment of glory and joy or one hell of a time of conflicted minds and terror of agony. But, happy moments will only lead to a path of obstacles with destruction, waiting to break your mind and heart.
How cruel the world can be indeed, but this world can only call for those who are willingly wanting to live. Those who are strong willed shall rise to the top of their heart and life within time's merciless soul. Even lost souls can find their way around time to fix their souls. But many lost souls need someone to help them push their goals to either good or bad. Lost souls can be fixed in so many ways depending on the influence of "manipulation" of minds.
The wondering lost soul who shall determine the world's fate is now in a conflicted agony of a heated hatred for everything. This young maiden is a broken scale of both good and bad who is about to break the balance of wonders.
The bright and good side is just simply buried beneath snow with crimson stains while the dark and more sinister side hides the evidence of any weapons. Both souls have been influenced with so many forces to drag them into their bi-polar territories. For the dark side is resisting and rejecting the the light who persistently continues to fight for the dominance of victory to safely return to loved ones.
How cruel the fate held into these girls' hand is indeed. For she can't love someone properly with the crooked and horrific past. How heartbreaking it must be for her to not remember fake memories of her life.
-----
'I... I don't understand what Neil was trying to say... Innocence blooming? I was never innocent since I was a young child, right? I was exposed to the world of hatred and bloodshed from what I remember from my fuzzy memories... What kind of vows did I share with Neil? He looked pained...pain...'
Walking with her lonesome, young Kiroyuki was troubled with questions that would remain unanswered. She was frustrated and confused. She didn't know what this feeling was and she hated it.
'A... A male's voice... A soft and determined voice... I remember saying "ry" in my mind before Neil interrupted my thoughts... The words that said to save me... Why do I need saving? Could I have remembered something very important to me if Neil showed up later?'
Stopping to look up at the sky, Kiroyuki was glued to her position as she blankly stared at the dark sky with dead eyes. Her vibe felt as if she had no existence, but to want to live. To live... Those words conflicted Kiroyuki. Her heart and mind was unknown to even herself.
"... What am I forgetting? Why am I gaining these emotions... I'm not suppose to have such emotions! They'll just get in the way! That was what I was told and taught! Right!?" Eyes coming to a close, tears streamed down her face as she looked at the lonely and pained sky.
"Why the hell am I crying?!" Kiroyuki furiously wiped away her tears, but they just kept coming. The tears didn't stop to listen to her commands.
Kiroyuki struggled to walk to the small and crumbled gazebo in the garden which was where she would so often unconsciously come to in her younger innocent days.
"I can't cry! I was not meant to cry! W-what are these feelings!?" Punching the stone pillar with not even an ounce of strength in her action, the wave of voices rang into her head.
'Well, first he's the first boy I have ever met at my age. Second, he seems to know a ton about herbs and medicine. Third, he seems pretty cool to be around. Lastly, I want to have a friend around my age and I guess that's it so far......... Um... So your name is-'
"AHHHH!" With the sudden and small bits of her memory washing up to shore, Kiroyuki let out a cry of agony. It had felt like lightning had struck her mind.
"W-w-wh-what was that!? Did I r-remember myself saying something!? Who was I talking to!? Boy? What boy? I only know Neil! Neil! My first love! That memory is about Neil, right!? Right!?"
Tears resurfaced to stream more as Kiroyuki was left in plain sight, but with no one to see her vulnerable. Her mind was racing so fast that she couldn't comprehend her surroundings and thoughts. She was indeed a lost soul who's hurting greatly and alone.
'Well thank you for holding my hand Ry-... I think that helped me a lot to know you stayed by my side! Thanks!'
"Ry!? Ry!? Who is that!? Am I suppose to remember this!? Is this why I'm hurting!? Is this Ry the cause to my agony... Who the hell am I remembering... I don't even know anymore... Why do I keep crying-"
'P-pl-please... It hurts... S-stop hurting yourself! I will keep climbing out of the snow to reach you! Just stop hurting yourself! You're afraid too! I also want to remember, but stop hurting-'
'Shut up... Kiroyuki! I don't remember since when we were brought together in one body...but I don't want to hear your stupid cries! Just die already!'
With a single stab of a sword, the girl who wore torn clothes and the most tears had bled once again for the once pure white snow, making it more red to add its joy of flavor.
'I... I am not like you! You are just a ghost living in this body! Stop messing with my fucking life-... Why... Why am I crying too!?'
As the cold and pale body of the bleeding soul laid there in front of the murderer, tears of crystals had fallen unconsciously as she slept.
Coming back into the real world of reality, the true Kiroyuki was also streaming tears, hearing the rack of sobs from the inner Kiroyuki.
"Ah. I see... These tears are coming from the heart of that Kiroyuki who now affects me... I see... We simply share each other's emotions and heart......"
-----
"Your highness Izana! We are in view of the castle... Prince Izana! A massive amount of men are marching into the castle walls! It seems to be around three hundred men!" The messenger gasped, but continued to observe the fleet of steel with the binoculars. Although the castle was now in sight, it was still a very long and harsh journey.
"Lord brother!" Turning to Izana, he saw how frustrated he look.
Shirayuki was very frightened, but was reassured by Kiki and Mitsuhide. She looked over to the distant castle and held eyes that were about to do more than water.
"If I may speak, I believe those are the men who were suppose to kill us all off if we continued our previous route. They must be retreating to the castle, knowing that something has occurred to change the time of events." Hanayuki strongly spoke with eyes of iron, for the everyone had believed her statement of truth.
"What shall we do now princess-" Obi was cut off by Hanayuki's forced cough which silenced himself.
"I thought I said to call me Hanayuki only Obi! Geez... Anyways, even if the castle is far in distance, we will be spotted. Hyoushou would surely improve their security levels of guards the past hundred of years and it is fearful when Hyoushou enters war. Our country has never lost a single battle or war... Except for one..." The last sentence was unheard by many and even Obi had not figured out what Hanayuki had said.
"That makes it seem impossible to save princess Kiroyuki!/ Should we head back to Clarines?/ What do we do now?/ Never lost a battle of war!?/ Scary.../ Hyoushou is truly great in military forces."
Cutting off the chatters of the soldiers, Hanyuki cleared her threat and took Obi's dagger.
"H-hey! What are you-!?"
Swiftly making a cut appear onto her palm, Hanyuki didn't wince at the pain. Blood oozed out from her hand as they dropped and soaked into the snow, dyeing it red like hell.
"H-hanayuki! What are you doing!? Are you insane!" Obi shouted at the said female, but she ignored his lectures and questions. It was difficult enough that she was sharing a horse with him to hear his whines.
"I... I can help spare some more time for us now! I can temporarily make us invisible to the enemy! I will cast a spell right when we go forth!"
"A-are you crazy-"
Slapping obi, Hanyuki continued. "Of course I'm crazy! We need to move now!" Holding onto her injured hand, both Ryu and Shirayuki were about to help wrap the wound, but were surprised as the force moved forth. Since Shirayuki was ahead of them by a row, she had to leave Hanayuki into Ryu's care. Hanayuki had quickly began on a spell where her elegant voice spoke in a foreign language of ancient scriptures. For it was a quick minute for her to be done with the spell.
Ryu took out some bandages and a couple of petals from a herb from the horses side bag, not being able to stand the blood that trailed along the snow.
"Here. Let me help." Ryu guided his horse carefully towards Obi and Hanayuki. He gently took Hanayuki's hand and placed the petals onto her wound while carefully and diligently wrapping the bandages. "Just don't pick at the bandages as much and don't use this hand too much."
"Thank you, Ryu! I can see why Kiroyuki is very, very interested in you!" Hanayuki tenderly smiled with her eyes closed. The bleeding had calmed and the pain was more eased.
"I-it's nothing, really. I'm a c-court herbalist."
"Wow! That's amazing considering you're only around twelve! You sure are smart, Ryu!"
"T-th-thank you!"
"Now don't go stealing all of her attention and affection Ryu!" Ryu stared at Obi questioning as if he was jealous that Hanayuki wasn't talking to him as much, but Obi chuckled at Ryu's questioning stare.
"And what is that suppose to mean, Obi? Are you jealous that a twelve year old has more charm than you?" Hanayuki's lips were just next to Obi's ear as she spoke into it with her elegant and teasing tone. His face grew a tint of pink hues as he scoffed in amusement. The fact that her arms were wrapped around his torso didn't help him with his "calm" state.
"I... I just wanted to blackmail you! If you talk to me more, I'll find out something embarrassing about you to use against you!"
"You're a terrible person, you stupid cat." Obi feign his hurt look and secretly wanted to look back to adore Hanayuki's beautiful features and eyes.
"On the other hand... How is it that by cutting yourself, we're temporarily unseen and silent to the enemy?"
"...... I'd rather not tell just yet..." Hanayuki hid herself by snuggling up her face onto Obi's back, making Ryu and Obi understand that she wdoesbt want to remember something of her past.
'This just makes me want to know more about her...'
-----
"Oh, Kiroyuki? How are you feeling, my dear-... Tell me what is bothering you." Although Neil is cruel for all of this to happen, he still truly cares for Kiroyuki with all of his heart.
"... P... Please help me, Neil!"
"Eh? Kiroyuki dear, I'm very worried right now. What happened? Who hurt you!?"
"... These voices... My other soul... My memories are coming and disappearing... I'm not sure who I am anymore! I hate this! I've never felt this way! I've never felt so wretched and clueless! I've always been merciless, violent, strong, and powerful, but now I don't know! I don't know..."
White tears of diamonds escaped the shimmering blue eye. Red and shiny rubies poured out of the red eye. For both souls are conflicted and hurting. They are both crying to their sorrows of void.
"Shh... it's okay Kiroyuki... I'm here and I will protect you. This is why I'm here. I'll help make this world yours, so that you'll be free to be yourself. You're precious to me and no one shall hurt you, or else their heads will roll in regret. You're always powerful and strong, but it's okay to be weak in front of those you care for... I love you for you, Kiroyuki my sweet!"
"I... I love you too!" The blue eye of diamonds started streaming more tears than the red. For the blue diamond was torn in the word of love. The red ruby of mature beauty was slowly coming to a stop of tears, but that did not mean that she was still shaken. For both souls had different meanings and views of the word love.
'What is this feeling... Is this what it feels like to be loved after years of slumber?'
'W-why... I feel guilty sharing the same heart to say love to this man whom I still shall trust! It just feels like it's not meant to love or to be loved from this man...but...that doesn't mean I don't want to let him go...'
'Will I know my answer to my heart and questions? Is this really the love I want... That voice still lingers in our souls...'
