Kiroyuki's POV
'Yesterday was fun~.... I'm glad that Ryu allowed my indirect request to tutor me~... Thank you Obi for the speaking up~...'

I was in Izana's office waiting for him to return back from a quick meeting. He had told me to wait here for him and to not leave so I listened since he's my self-proclaimed brother. 'I wonder if Zen is considered as another self-proclaimed brother... Would that make Shirayuki my sister-in-law then?'

I got up from Izana's chair and walked towards the wall of glass windows. I looked out to awe at the beauty that the height gave me. Then three certain figures caught my attention.... It was Ryu! He was with Shirayuki and Obi.
'I wish that I could yell out to them to say hi!' Then Obi turned around and surprisingly saw me staring at them. It looked as if he was chuckling towards my direction while Shirayuki and Ryu both turned this way too! I flinched but waved hoping that they would see me. They waved back as I smiled to myself as Ryu bowed before they left. At the same time, the doors of the room opened with Izana walking over to me.

"I see you exchanged distant greetings."

"Yep. I'm surprised that they saw me! Obi's pretty sharp!"

"Kiroyuki."

"Yes Izana?" I faced towards him as he had a serious yet gentle face. I too held a straight face.

"I have notified the castle staff and lords about your new role of Clarines' new princess. They have all seem to agree with this so it shall be fine. Your duties shall also start today later this evening, so you have the rest of the morning to yourself. Just make sure to meet me back here when it's three o'clock, when it is time, I'll show you to your new office. I don't believe I need to explain any further since you have had enough experience."

"Yes! Thank you Izana. If I have any other questions, I'll ask you or Zen. And also if you need me, I'll be in the medical wing! Bye!" I hugged Izana real quick and exited the room with light footsteps. Once I got further away from the door of the room, I had immediately remembered that I barely knew the way to the medical wing. I sighed in frustration and walked forth while hoping to find my way miraculously.

Some time passed by as I still was lost in the halls. 'Am I even going the right way....?'
(Author-San comes in and just want to say that Kiroyuki dear... You're the complete opposite way of the medical wing...)

"This is a lost cause.... I really need to remember where the medical wing is located..." I slumped down against a nearby wall. There were no maids in this hall currently so this sucked a lot... I slapped my forehead and jumped up. Smacking my cheeks with my hands, I huffed out some frustration. I was about to take a step forward until I heard some grunts and footsteps. My body froze with tension as I trembled. Slowly regaining my conscious, I slowly moved over to the opened windowed-hallway.

'Am I being hunted down already?! I can't let this happen again!' My mind became blank as I held no emotions and kept a steady breath. Just as the figure jumped over the ledge of the rail of the fence, I had tackled the figure as I landed on top of them with a fist ready to blow their face.

"K-Kiroyuki?!" My eyes widened in realization to the person below me as I sweat dropped.

"Z-Zen?!" I quickly got off of him and chuckled nervously. He dusted off his shirt as I just awkwardly stood there. 'He scared me so bad....'

"K-Kiroyuki... You scared the life out of me... Why did you tackle me? That actually hurt a lot... Is that why Izana wants you to train the soldiers?" I just sheepishly scratched my cheek as I felt relieved that it was only just Zen.

"Well... You kinda scared me from the noises that I thought it was an... An intruder...." He gave me an 'o' face and looked around us.
"What are you doing Zen?" He looked around once more before making eye contact with me.

"Well I kinda skipped out of paperwork to go see Shirayuki." I lit up as I jumped up and down.

"Thank you! You are my savior Zen! I have wandering around for almost an hour of wasted time to locate the medical wing! Can you show me the way as we go along?"

"Sure. Plus I heard that Ryu offered to tutor you." We started walking as I hummed in response.

"Oh Kiroyuki, you were on the total opposite side of the medical wing..." It felt like lightning struck me right there. I sweat dropped and chuckled sheepishly with embarrassment.

Timeskip
"Thank you Zen! Bye Shirayuki!" They waved back as they retreated to their lovely reunion. They honestly are adorable together... 

'Shirayuki said that Ryu should be in their personal workroom... Luckily she gave me a parchment paper of directions! I'll learn the ways as I go!'

I followed the neat and detailed directions from Shirayuki and found the room. I smiled and quickly slide open the door. I saw Ryu jump a bit as I giggled lightly to myself.

"Yo Ryu! Are you busy?" I closed the door behind me shut and walked over to where Ryu was writing was in a notebook on his desk. 'Wow... The room looks incredible...'

"N-no... Would you like me to tutor you?" I nodded my head frantically and brought the other chair from supposedly Shirayuki's desk and placed it next to Ryu's seat. He pulled out some materials like paper, ink, feather pens, books, and herbs.

"Just to let you know, I have to leave by 2:30 so I have plenty of time to walk back to Izana. I have a lot of work to do later so yeah... So sensei! What is the lesson for today!"
Ryu's POV
'I feel like a blushing mess of a yura shigura... What should I teach her for the next hour.... She looks really pretty in that type of clothing... Wait! What am I saying!'

(What Ryu sees of Kiroyuki in adorable lovely clothing.)
"Why don't we go over the basics of medical herbs?"

"Sure!" I pulled out a dark green book and opened to the first page.

"One of the most basics of herbs are lavenders. The smell of lavenders could help ease one's mind when taking a smell of it...."

Timeskip
'Its 2:30... Kiroyuki has to go now... I wished we have more time to stay with each other...'

"Oh Ryu! It's time for me to go! I'll see you next time! Bye bye~!" She leaped out of the seat and placed it back over to Shirayuki's desk. She waved before she opened the door, but I stopped her.

"W-wait! Um Kiroyuki... Here. Take your notes..." She nodded her head and removed the notes from my hands,that she had taken and smiled.

"Thank you Ryu! I really appreciate it!" She quickly hugged me and ran out of the door. I felt hot all of a sudden probably because of the sudden hug. I opened the window and felt the cool wind brush against my burning face. Exhaling out my heat, Obi was suddenly in front of me with his gossip notebook. I jumped and fell backwards as he chuckled while putting away his weird some notebook.

"Hey squirt! So I saw you and the princess having fun studying together." I flinched at his words and hid my face with my sweater, pulling it up while turning away from Obi.
"...Ryu." I heard Obi's serious tone and turn to face him with his serious face.

"Y-yes obi...."

"Do you like Kiroyuki?" Instantly my face heated up as I mumbled to myself.
"Ryu, answer me..." I shyly removed my sweater from my blushing face and inhaled a breath.

"Y-yeah... I think I might like her, but I'm not too sure... She's the only girl I've met around my age..." Obi hummed in response and stepped back and out from the window.

"Well then squirt, I wish you the best of luck! I'll also try and help you get Kiroyuki! Later~"

I was left in a speechless state as I just stared out the window that Obi had just left. Do I really have feelings for Kiroyuki... I have just met her though.... The door slammed open as I jumped again from surprise to only see Shirayuki. I sighed in relief and went back to my desk.

"Sorry I came a bit later than I expected Ryu... Did you have fun with Kiroyuki?"

"Yeah... It's fun. I hope we can do this again soon..."

Kiroyuki's POV
'That was so fun! I learned more about herbs! Ryu is a great sensei! I'm so glad that I memorized the way back thanks to Zen!'

I was soon in front of Izana's office door and knocked on it. I addressed myself and was granted permission to enter.

"Hello Kiroyuki, you came a bit earlier than I expected."

"Well I kinda didn't want to get lost just in case so I made sure to make my way earlier."

"I see... Well anyways, I'll be showing you to your new office. Make sure to memorize your way to there so you won't have to scramble everywhere. Also you may decorate it another time whenever you feel like it. Now I may inform you that you will be doing paperwork as soon as we arrive. Would you be fine?" He opened the door to his office for me as we walked through the halls as I checked my surroundings to help locate areas for later.

"Yes! This is what I can do to help Clarines! What types of paperwork would I be doing?"

"This is a slightly different type of paperwork. You'll be planning some stuff for an upcoming ball of Clarines." I tilted my head as we walked and hummed in confusion.

"You're setting up a ball? What for?" He smirked and glance at me and then ahead of our path.

"Well you are technically Clarines' new princess that'll be doing a lot of work for this country. Zen and I can't just take all of the credit... Plus, the lords and ladies will hear of this soon enough to show respect towards you."

"But wouldn't that might spread word that I'm here in the castle if Clarines and bring intruders?" He shook his head and replied.

"No. With a lot of trusted and respectful lords, Dukes, and ladies... I'm sure they'll have respect towards you and would want you to stay on our side to help their benefits. It's not one-hundred percent correct on mines and lord Harruka's theory, but it'll have to do for now."

I just hummed in response as we arrived at my new office. I opened the grand wooden doors and awed at the slightly unfurnished room but wide room. The floor was sparkling white with quartz, a balcony behind a smooth dark oak wood desk, light blue curtains, and bookshelves filled with books. I went over to the bookshelves and stared in shock and wonder.

"I figure that you would get bored of only politics and government studies so I requested to place in books about herbs, medicine, and fictional stories." I grinned and hugged Izana and opened the doors of the balcony. It was a decent sized balcony as the cool wind breezed past me. Opening my eyes to where I could see, I saw the her garden from a distance, barley hiding behind the corner of a building.

"I could slightly see the herb garden! It's so pretty from up here!" I awes at the beauty of the sky and view as I constantly looked over to the herb garden. Finally getting enough of the awing, I walked back into the office as Izana had closed the balcony doors for me.
"I think I should start on the planning then!"

"Are you sure Kiroyuki? You could still rest while trying to fit in." I shook my head and sat in the comfy navy blue seat with smooth spruce wood outlines and looked at the neatly stacked pile on my desk that has already been prepared for me.

"I'll be fine! I should, tackle these down first before fooling around... I remember when miss Nani would always stay with me while I do my paperwork.... She'd always try to get me to do my work when I felt my hands shake..." I stared at the wood of the desk with a small sad smile of fond memories and exhaled to ease my nerves.

"Kiroyuki-" I cut off Izana and stared into his deep violet eyes.

"No it's okay. I pledged to protect everyone that I can, so those memories may hurt dearly but it'll help me to motivate myself and make me stronger." I smiled and Izana just sighed.

"Dear little sister... You're such a young determined princess despite your age. Sometimes I even wonder if you're even 11..,"

"I'm flattered that you called me 'little sister', big brother Izana, but I'm just determined because that's just me! I was like that too when we had first met."

"Alright. I'll leave you to work. I'll have Zen check up on you later. Until next time."

"Bye!" I waved goodbye to Izana as he returned it by doing the same and left the room. I truly feel grateful and lucky... Now onto planning for the ball for myself!
