Michael's POV

"DONT TOUCH ME! LET ME GO!" She screamed with tears streaming down her face.
"YOU! WHY ARE YOU ONLY STARING AT ME?! HELP ME!!! TAKE ME AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!" She tried to release the nurses' hands from her and grasp my white shirt. Her lilac hair was all over her face. My hair was almost the same color as hers, the difference was: mine was fully dyed and hers was just part lilac. She added lilac highlights a few months ago so she won't forget about me, but it didn't work anyway.

"I wish I could.." I whispered to myself. My heart was beyond aching. It was extremely hard to see her like this, especially knowing that I couldn't do anything about it.

"Okay we're all done," said the doctor while the nurses closed the cell door. "Thank you for choosing this hospital. Don't worry, kid, she's going to be okay."
"Are you sure you guys can make her stable again?" I asked.

My heart was torn knowing that she didn't recognize me anymore. It was like my biggest nightmare had come true.
She was all I ever wanted and I had just lost her. One second she remembered, the next second she forgot. This went on and on. It'd been 3 years and she was only getting worse. Soon, she might forget about me forever.

"As I said, we do not guarantee every patient's condition because they are totally unpredictable but we'll always try our best to make them better. She will get at least two session of therapy with a professional every week, and our volunteer guards will keep their eyes on her 24/7. She's in good hands, don't worry. Just hope for the best and pray. I have to go now, the nurse is going to take care of her for the rest of the day." He gave me a reassuring look and left. I just nodded to all of his words and knew that no matter what people say, I just couldn't stop worrying. What if she felt alone in there? What if they couldn't take care of her nicely? Like honestly, this place looked ancient and horrible. It was probably haunted. Who knows?

The nurses still stood beside me while I looked past their shoulders through the cell's door little rectangular hole, barred with metal pipes. She was cuffed to the bed, still screaming and crying. Then she stared at me for a few seconds as if we were just strangers. Her ocean blue eyes even looked grey.

"Are visitors allowed to have a walk on that garden?" I faced the nurses and pointed to the hospital's garden which could be seen from the window across the cell.

"Yes, of course. Just be careful, Mike." One of the nurses smiled.

"How did you.. Ok. Thanks." I said in a monotone. I wanted to ask how she knew my name, but I was too exhausted to ask. I was too exhausted to even talk about anything. I couldn't take it anymore, so I went to the park just to clear my head a little.

------------------------------------------------

"I wanna get back to San Fransisco in the fire light
You know you know you know you know we had it right.
Remember that weekend when we got out of town
Drove into infinity, I held you till you fell asleep.." I sang quietly as I walked towards a big, old tree. The leaves were falling from the tree; I could hear the crisp sound of the dry leaves on the ground.

I held her in my arms whilst I drove along the long, empty road. She was leaning on my shoulder, her eyes fluttering open everytime there was a little bump on the road. We didn't know where we were going yet, we just went whichever direction the wind was blowing. My left hand was on the steering wheel while my other hand was stroking her hair. My car's roof was folded down. She had always enjoyed the midnight wind; I did too, it was very relaxing, especially while listening to the 1975. She looked so precious under the moonlight. I couldn't help but look at my rearview mirror for like every two minutes just to see her beautiful face. It was so hard not to kiss her. She looked so tempting, but I had to hold it in and kept driving. After an hour or so, we stopped by the road, near a cliff, to enjoy the view in front of us; it was a bright city with skyscrapers slightly touching the jet black skies above. There we were.. lost in San Fransisco.

I sat in between the large roots, reminiscing that night and the things we used to do — before we lost it — while continuing to sing the song I wrote along with my roommate.

My roommate knew how much she meant to me. A few days ago, I was so depressed knowing that Georgia's condition was getting worse. I guess my roommate sensed my depression and told me to let it all out in a song. Well, at least it kinda worked. After I finished the song I felt so happy, I drove to Georgia's house to show the lyrics and sing the sing to her right away, hoping that she would get better because of this song. But the second I arrived in her driveway, I heard screaming and the sound of glass breaking. Then Mia, Georgia's mom, asked me to take Georgia to this hospital right when she saw me.

Poor girl. Her parents had never really cared about her. All they did was work. Everyday, they left her home with me. I had been her only childhood friend – the only one who stayed. I loved her. More than she could ever know. I knew she loved me too. As a friend.

As I was staring at the grey sky, I heard some footsteps a few feet (lol) away behind the tree. I closed my eyes and sighed a little. I really wanted to be alone at that time. I stuck my head out to see who was there.

"OH MY GOD!" "AHH!" We screamed at the same time. The girl stared at me for a few seconds with her eyes wide open. The girl was wearing a white suit, so I figured that she was a patient here. But why was she allowed to go out of her cell? What was she doing here?

"Hi..." I gave her a small smile.

Sydney's POV

I looked at him cautiously. Was he a patient here? I stepped closer to him until our faces were ten inches away. I tried opening my mouth to say something but I heard someone calling my name. It was a whisper. I snapped my head to my right, my eyes searched around the garden. I heard that sound again, I turned to look at my left side. I started breathing a little bit faster. I knew that sound. She was coming.. after me. I wanted to hide, but where?

"Hey, are you okay?" The guy in front of me said.
"It's her, isn't it?" Luke said in a low voice.

I couldn't focus on their questions. A few seconds later I found her. I could see her head popping out of a tree's trunk. There she was, with her straight black hair, joker's big smile, her black eyeballs and bloodstained dress. Seeing her there made my heart dropped. I knew that I was being followed. After years and years of convincing myself that she was just trying to accompany me in my cell in a not-threatening way, I just realized then that she might have a bad intention towards me. A lot of things had been haunting me but I felt like Christina was the worst. You might think that this was a ridiculous thing but that was why I was sent here. Apparently, I "imagined" things were haunting me. But they were real. All the stories I told them were true.

"Get me out of here.. Please!!! PLEASEE!!" I screamed to both of the boys. I was probably giving him the worst first impression but at that point, I didn't care anymore. My eyes were still directed at her and she was still smiling at me. And trust me it wasn't a pretty smile.

A couple of guards grabbed my hands instead. The purple-haired guy didn't move a muscle, he only stared, probably stunned by all this. I wriggled out of the guards hands but they were too strong. I tried everything to get away from this place but I couldn't.

"Please.." I sobbed. "I don't wanna be here any longer."

I kicked the guards' balls and got released right away. I started running towards the stranger I just met. "Help me!" I screamed. But he backed away from me and stared at me in a confused/terrified manner. Before I could get to where he was, the guards grabbed me again and I was pulled away from the garden. That guy was getting further and further away each second passed, he still looked stunned too. Christina was nowhere to be seen. And Luke... He wasn't there either. Where the hell could he be? Maybe he was grabbing my medicine for me?

-----------------------------------------------

I was then back in my cell. I heard the guard saying that it was a few minutes before dinner. I sighed. I wanted to see Luke. I had to tell him about what I just saw and how I was feeling. I had to get it all out. He was the only one I could tell everything to. It was a pretty eventful day for me. I had never ever tried to sneak out like that.

"Luke!" I called out to the lanky boy coming in from the cafeteria entrance. A worried look was plastered on his face. "Hey, where have you been?"

"Hey, I'm sorry I had to-" "It's okay, we don't have to talk about it now." I cut him off, knowing that he was probably exhausted like i was. "Let's grab some food first, shall we?"

"You can grab some food and I'll find us a place to sit. Oh and you don't have to get food for me. I'm full already." He said while walking towards an empty table. He never wanted to eat with me during lunch or breakfast and always said that he was full or any other excuse he would always had in his head.

The lunch lady gave me the food I wanted, a hotdog and soda. and sat down beside Luke. "I actually wanted to talk to you about what happened earlier.." I sighed. "You can talk about it." He smiled.

"Nah not now, I wanna ask you first.. Are you okay? You look a bit pale."
"I'm just worried about you. You saw her again."
"Yeah.. but it's alright. She's not here now. She comes and goes, it's typical of her. But I don't wanna talk to her again like I used to, I wanna avoid her."
"Ok.. Let's see how this'll go. Now, finish your hotdog and go back to your cell. I still have that new girl to take care of. The nurses aren't doing any of their jobs properly, so why not give them a hand?"
"Okay, nice guy" I mocked him. "Hey, I'm just tryna help!" He pouted. I loved this side of him. I'd probably tell you this a million more times but it was true. Never thought a 6 foot-something tall guy could act so childish.

As I was eating my hotdog, he kept on staring at me with his gorgeous blue eyes. "What?" I said with my mouth full. He laughed. "Have I told you that you look good today?" He said with no hesitation at all. I was about to swallow the food in my mouth when suddenly, being the typical me, I choked.

"Oh my God! I'm gonna pee in my pants right now!" Luke cried. "Drink!"

I finished the bottle of water in a matter of second. With slight tears in my eyes from choking I said, "I hate you."

"No, you do not. I know you love me." He smirked, leaning back with both of his hands on the chair, supporting his body. So. Hot. My cheeks suddenly felt warm. I looked down right away. I was.. blushing?

Seeing that my cheeks were pink, Luke half stood up, his finger trying to reach my chin across the table. His finger raised my chin, making me look at his wonderful face. He came in closer to my face; our faces were only 4 inches apart. My breathing started to get uneven. What was he trying to do?

*RIIIIING* the sound of the bell rang throughout the cafeteria. Time to go back to my cage. Fast.

"I have to go back," I hurriedly stood up and gave him a small smile. When I turned to leave the cafeteria, I heard him letting out a soft chuckle.

I laid sprawled on my bed. Did I really like him that way? Maybe I was overthinking about everything. Maybe he was saying it in a friendly way. Maybe there was something on my face. I don't know. "Ugh!" I closed my eyes. Maybe I should get some sleep. When my mind was starting to relax, I heard a voice.

"Psst!" My eyes opened wide. I sat up and was surprised to see a pair of eyes looking at me through the door.
