□
Hero returns from another night of killing. His hands are stained with the same crimson, and he felt as if it was starting to become one with his skin. He felt disgusting, and he had to burn clothes after clothes. Derrek forced him to train more vigorously, and he broke a soldier's arm when they were sparring. Derrek disguised it as a training gone wrong, but Hero felt him take over and use full force on the poor cadet.
Derrek watched his puppet break every single night. It was fun and exciting for him. His plan was going well, so he decided to skip a few more steps. Hero had been beaten already by his traumatic childhood. Derrek suspected Hero to have PTSD, but their universes was different. They had not discovered PTSD in Hero's universe yet, which was even better for Derrek. It meant that Hero could not get diagnosed, and he could not go for therapy or take medication to get better.
One night, Derrek had come prepared when he and Hero returned, the latter covered in blood. Derrek had removed himself from Hero's mind and watched the man from Hero's bed. Hero had his back turned to Derrek, but he knew what was coming. The soldier started to quiver, before sinking his head into his hands. Heart-wrenching sobs filled the silence as Derrek waited patiently for his puppet to finish.
Hero turned around and they made eye contact. Derrek felt himself smirk when he watched Hero's face twist into a multitude of pain filled expressions. He watched as a young boy who was abused by his father piled over Hero's military persona. Hero was already so young, but his vulnerability made him look like a boy who wanted everything to stop hurting.
Derrek was not one to meet people's expectations, unfortunately.
Hero started shouting at Derrek. He spilled everything that Derrek already knew. His insecurities, his trauma and how pitiful his life was. Derrek only found himself getting annoyed when Hero blamed him for it all.
"Seriously?"
Hero halted in his emotional breakdown, sniffing. Derrek stood from the bed and Hero instinctively shrunk back.
"You think it's my fault?"
Hero's heart lurched in his chest. Brief flashes of his father reminded him of how similar Derrek and his father were. They were both strong and capable of destroying Hero.
"My puppet, you've got it all wrong. You were the one who made these decisions, not me. You were the one who suffered, not me. It's your fault, not mine."
Derrek found himself grinning when Hero listened to it all. The soldier was broken enough to pay attention and believe Derrek. The man started to walk towards his puppet, and he allowed his fingers to gently caress his toy. Hero, with dried tear tracks on his cheek, raised his head to look at Derrek pitifully. He even pressed against Derrek's fingers as a cry for help.
His voice even sounded so broken, "Please punish me."
Derrek hummed, still caressing Hero's cheek. He felt proud of himself, he managed to fully break Hero. There was one more step left. Hero had felt guilty for his crimes, and his sweet, sweet personality had begged for a punishment to set him straight.
So, conjuring a pistol in his free hand, Derrek's caressing fingers switched to Hero's hair. He pulled back harshly and aimed the gun right for Hero's eye, and pulled the trigger.
Hero was so stupid to request for soundproof walls. The gunshot was excruciatingly loud, and Hero felt his ears ring right before he perished. Derrek held Hero's dangling body by his hair, and bits of blood had stained his hand. There was a disgusting gaping hole over Hero's right eye, and the eyeball was blown to bits and pieces that were now on the carpet.
Derrek had no time to lose.
In a few seconds, Hero's soul would be sent up to the Aether. He was to stop that process and take over Hero's body before his soul could even escape from the corpse. So, he took over, and Derrek found his range of vision tiny without Hero's right eye. It was annoying, but Derrek had wanted to get rid of it for aesthetics. Carefully, he called out for his puppet.
A soft purr answered him. Hero had not managed to escape, so he was trapped in his dead body controlled by Derrek. He sat in the darkness of his astral plane, watching Derrek carry out his plan for domination over Minecraftia. He did not weep, as he had no tears left to spill. He felt happy when Derrek used his body to shoot Markus in the head. He was happy that Markus could go up to the Aether, and not suffer like Hero did.
Minecraftia was the strongest country in terms of magic and supernatural power. It was where Derrek would dwell best. Derrek's plan had been to corrupt a well-known public figure in Minecraftia. Then, he would kill his chosen puppet and take over. He would use the puppet's body and reputation to help him kill off the king and make the people fear him.
Minecraftia used to be a safe haven for people and creatures alike. Now, it was a hellish place to live. Derrek established himself the king, even if he was seen as Hero. Hero's magical abilities had also stayed in the body, so Derrek used it to heal Hero's right eye just a bit. He bandaged that eye to look more intimidating, and it worked. People were afraid of someone immortal. They were afraid of their king who shot himself in the eye but still survived.
Sometimes, in the privacy of his own room, Derrek would let Hero take over. Just for five minutes, he would let the man have the freedom to use his body. Of course, he jumped in before he could do anything stupid. Hero never did much, just played the violin or stared at Minecraftia sorrowfully from the balcony.
Derrek got bored a lot as king, so he played with his civilians and army. Soldiers would try to please and entertain him. If they did not succeed, they would get punished. Derrek never killed them, but made them beg for death. It got so bad that some of them promised him sexual favors. The first time it happened, the usually quiet Hero broke and told Derrek not to accept it. Derrek, being the twisted man he was, did the exact opposite of what Hero begged him to do. He would lead the desperate soldiers to his quarters, and right before they would continue, Derrek let Hero take over.
Hero had lost all of his strength and will to live, so he painfully let it happen. Derrek would cackle in the distance, watching Hero get defiled, humiliated and degraded.

It was absolute torture.
There were rebellions, but all the attempts at taking Derrek down had failed. Derrek was in the throne room, resting after another failed rebellion attempt, when the guards came in dragging a steel cage on wheels behind them. The cage contained a scarred and tired spider laying down panting. Derrek's curiosity rose along with Hero's. He gestured for the guards to speak. One of them startled at first, before stuttering fearfully, "T-This creature claims to know you, your highness."
Derrek spoke, and Hero's smooth and innocent voice seemed to calm the guard down a little, "Hm? Please tell me how you came to that conclusion, my pawn. This is a spider, after all."
The guard sighed blissfully and tapped at the cage, "This spider is a hybrid, your highness. A rare and perfect pet for you."
The other guard stared dumbfounded at his manipulated comrade. He gulped, as his friend continued, "He came from the rebellion, and said that he would like to speak with you to resolve issues, your highness."
Derrek-Hero hummed. He twisted his finger in a come hither motion, and the guards pulled the cage closer. Derrek started a mental conversation with Hero.
Do you know him?
No, sir.
Really? Well then, let's have a look at him in human form.
Hero did not respond, and Derrek called out to the spider. He hoped Hero's voice would trigger the spider to wake.
"You wanted to speak with me?"
The spider stirred, and blinked up at the king. In a manner of seconds, the spider got to his legs and glowed. The glowing stopped to find a man in the spider's place. He looked ragged and exhausted. Scars littered his dark skin, and his long black hair was all over the place. His red and black eyes stared up at Derrek, and the king was startled to find fondness in that look. Hero had not spoken, which means he still did not recognize this man.
"Princess! What ever happened to you?"
The guards and Derrek were surprised to see this hybrid stranger refer to the ruthless king as 'princess'. Derrek felt insulted, and was about to give the spider a piece of his mind until he heard Hero gasp.
So, you do know him.
Yes! I mean- yes, sir. Sorry, sir.
Don't forget how to address me. I'll forget this once, so you better learn your lesson. Enlighten me about this man.
Of course, sir. I'm sorry, sir. I believe this is someone I've spoken to through letters, but never met in person. His name should be Noah... Noah Sebastian Arache.
How romantic. He calls you Princess?
...Yes, sir.
You dirty little thing. And yet, you don't accept the lovely men I give you every night.
Derrek loved hearing his puppet so submissive and terrified. It was so clear in his voice.
I'm sorry, sir. I-I'll do my best to... To enjoy it.
Derrek figured he had enough with toying with Hero when he had a brilliant plan. He switched over with Hero, who was shocked to be in control of his body in public. Derrek urged him to speak, so he did. His voice hurt after not using his body for so long.
"Noah?"
The spider looked absolutely elated to see him speak. He went forward to wrap his fingers around the bars of his cage. He smiled, "Yes! Yes, it's me."
Hero almost found himself smiling until Noah spoke again, "What happened, Princess? You've changed."
Hero looked away, not meeting the spider's eyes. He crossed his legs over the throne, and remained quiet. This was what he learnt best from Derrek.
"Look, we can find a way through this together, Princess! If you just tell me what's happening, no one needs to suffer."
Hero finally looked at Noah, who looked heartbroken and upset. He pleaded, "Please, I've waited years to finally be with you. I never wanted it like this."
Before Hero could reply, Derrek took over and he laughed, scaring the guards and Noah. Derrek decided to spill the beans.
"My name is Derrek. I have been living in your precious general's mind for years, tormenting him. I was responsible for the mysterious deaths all those years ago. When General Persson, my puppet, reached his peak, I shot him in the right eye, killing him instantly. I took over his body and shot your previous king, Markus Persson. Right now, I am using your general as a vessel to rule over you."
He smirked as the guards' and Noah's eyes widened after every word. The guards stood rooted to their places while Noah threw a frenzy. He started growling menacingly, snarling and clawing at the bars. His claws formed tears through his cage, and he spat at Derrek with all he could.
"How dare you! You destroyed him, you destroyed the person I loved!"
Derrek laughed, "Oh? Is this a confession? My puppet appreciates it, but..."
His voice dropped low and serious, and he picked up the rifle that was draped against the throne. Noah was panting heavily, snarling low in his throat. His alpha instincts distressed him, telling him that he was not able to take care of Hero properly and it was going haywire. The guards did not move, still trying to process what their king had just said. Derrek stood and aimed the gun at Noah, who did not move. He calmed himself down and looked sadly at Derrek.
The king spoke, "I won't torture you. I'm pretty sure that Hero being the one responsible for your death will be torture enough for the both of you."
He switched with Hero again, and ordered him to pull the trigger. Everyone could tell they switched. It was all in the eye. Hero's left eye was filled with pain, sorrow and regret. His movements were also sloppy. Derrek's left eye was full of that demonic look of bliss and pride. Right now, it was Hero, who was shakily holding the rifle at Noah.
"I'm so sorry."
Noah smiled weakly. "It's okay."
And Hero pulled the trigger. Derrek laughed as blood splattered the cage and guards, and as Hero sobbed again and again.

And as for Bad Ending #2, it will not come out for the rest of 2017. You can only understand the ending if you read Inherited and Forbid the Unknown, and I have not even started on the latter. Actually, now that I think about it, you might also have to read just a bit of the third book after Forbid the Unknown to understand Bad Ending #2. Bad Ending #2 is worse, and I'm warning you now that it includes non-con/dub-con again. Otherwise known as rape. You don't have to read it, it's just an extra for those who want to make themselves feel bad and sad. :)
If you want to know what happened after Noah's death: Derrek keeps ruling, and Hero stays dead inside. Minecraftia becomes dangerous, but no one was able to stop Derrek.
What happened meanwhile: Nabiel does everything he can to take Hero to the Aether to heal, but fails. Hero is permanently chained to Derrek as a puppet. The Aether remains a safe haven for those who have passed away under Derrek's harsh ruling. Markus helps Nabiel run the Aether in Hero's place. Ty and Jason never managed to escape the hybrid facility. They were trained to be bloodthirsty monsters and are used as war weapons under Derrek's hand. Seto had been exposed and was burnt to death at the stake for practicing black magic. Jeb ran away before Derrek could kill him, but was killed in the wild after being attacked by a creeper. Darryl does not die, but when he tried to tell Markus about Hero, Derrek lured him away and killed him. He disguised his death as if he had fallen off a building. Helena and Hugo had joined the rebellion with their friend, Noah, but were killed on missions. Kaizer died as a colt after getting an infection on his cut. The Shifter never found Hero, but preyed on other people instead. Melanie was not seen for a while because she had migrated, but when she came back she was hunted and killed by fishermen.
Sky? I'm thinking of making a Bad Ending to Inherited about that.
