A vampire. She was a vampire.

Looking in the mirror Katherine didn't recognize herself but most of all she hated what she saw. The glass shattered as her fist went through it.

"You're awake." Her wild crimson eyes found his darker ones.

"You." She snarled before lunging at him.

Bella sat motionless in the Cullens living room. She wanted to stay with her mom Renee but Edward forbade it. Rosalie was no where in sight as the others including Edward were gathered in the living room.

"A vampire broke into Bella and Kats home."

"Did you pick up his scent?"

"We lost track of it a few miles north of their house." Jasper explains with Emmett looming behind him, his arms crossed.

"A nomad passing through?"

"No, a nomad wouldn't let Charlie live."

"Victoria?" Bella suggested causing them to go quiet having not told her of the hunt for her.

"No I would've seen it." Alice stated.

"What about that Dylan guy? Kat goes missing the same night the nomad breaks into their home?"

"Did they take anything?" Carlisle asked Bella who shook her head.

"Not that I know of no."

"We need to let the wolves know." Bella sprung up to her feet.

"What? No, we don't need to include them, they can get hurt."

"So can Kat every second she's away." Everyone looked at Rosalie who entered from the window. "I don't care what it takes, if it's Victoria or if we have to team up with the mongrels."

"So what do you want them to do? Get themselves killed over vampire business?" Bella snapped. Rosalie glared at the brunette who held some semblance of her sister.

"Vampire business? Last I checked she was still your sister even if you've been blinded by Edward to see that she needed you and you weren't there!"

"Rosalie that's enough!" Edward intervened.

"She would've been safer here." Rosalie stated before disappearing again into the night.

Being surrounded by newborns was daunting but what drew her in was the blood.

Katherine was ready to attack Dylan but then she smelled it. A car accident. She didn't mean to but she couldn't help herself. Now she lusted for more.
