Eunsook slowly opened her eyes and adjusted her vision to the light illuminating the hospital room. Breathing was difficult and moving her hands was even more so.

"Eunsook!" Jungkook sprung to her side and gasped when her eyes focused on him. "Eunsook, are you awake?! Can you hear me?!"

"Jung... kook...?" She whispered hoarsely.

"Doctor!" He shouted out the door and came back to her side to gently hold her hand that she was slowly lifting up at him. Tears brimmed his tired eyes and he held them back to not cry again. "You're okay... Everything's okay..." He kept reassuring her with a broken voice, kissing her hand.

"How... long..."

"It's been a few days," the doctor answered instead as he walked in with a nurse to check her. "It wasn't too serious but it's quite an accident that you have to stay for a month at least. Spinal injury, leg and rib bones fractured, slight brain injury," he said as he examined her eyes, "but not severe. Physical therapy will start when you're well enough after the treatment. It will depend on how well you will do."

"Thank you, doctor," Jungkook said and he nodded before heading out.

"If you need anything, do not hesitate. And there are visitors here."

Jimin, Saejin and Sunghoon walked into the room as he went out. Saejin burst into tears and rushed to kneel on the other side of Eunsook's bed like Jungkook.

"Eunsook! Are you okay?! I was so worried," she wept, making the injured woman flinch and get flustered. "I hate hospitals! Seeing you here and not waking up made me hate it more!"

"S-Saejin! I'm okay! Look! I'm awake, right?"

She nodded vigorously. "I'm so relieved. So so relieved! Please don't get hurt again!"

Eunsook sighed and smiled at her before patting her head. "You, too. Don't get hurt."

Surrounded by friends like that, she was relieved. It felt like being overjoyed and overwhelmed with good things made her get into an accident, but now that she was awake, she thought it wasn't like that at all.

But there was still something.

She asked Saejin to talk in private to which the latter agreed with a little confusion. It took Eunsook a lot of courage to bring it up but it had to be asked. She had been in trouble frequently before and it took a toll on her gradually.

"Saejin... I'm so sorry for asking this, but please keep it a secret."

Looking at her serious expression, she braced herself and nodded. "I will. What is it?"

"Could you, um, lend me some money for the hospital bills, please?" Eunsook swallowed thickly. "I'm not exactly in a good place financially right now and I would really appreciate it if you could help me. I'll pay for it as soon as I can, so please..."

Saejin's lips parted in realization. "I was actually hoping you'd ask me, because I wanted to pay for it," she said, making Eunsook pause in bewilderment. "But I thought I'd be overstepping boundaries to offer something like that or... offending you in some way or acting like we're closer than you would want..."

Eunsook stared at her, surprised at her timid expression. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, I want to help you and it's the least I can do because I consider you my friend... but maybe that might be my delusion and all and I could be making you uncomfortable..."

Eunsook gasped. "No! Why would that make me uncomfortable? We are friends. You've always been nothing but sweet to me."

Saejin looked at her and a small smile appeared on her gentle face. "Really?"

"Yes." Eunsook chuckled. "I'm very lucky to be your friend."

"No I am!"

They burst out laughing before Eunsook hissed and groaned in pain so soon after, making Saejin panic. Temperance was leaning against the wall by the window and watched the two being gleeful. Looking at how much Eunsook was suffering and how she got into a life-threatening accident, she kept thinking. A sense of urgency was creeping in. If she said her situation did not hurt Temperance at all, she would be a liar.

Saejin picked up a call from her father and was called for a dinner.

"Does your dad always do that?" Eunsook asked.

"No, it's because Sunghoon is joining too so we're having dinner outside. Something about his international competition."

"He seems to like him a lot, huh?"

Saejin rolled her eyes and chuckled. "He should adopt him or something. Hoon is practically his son now. He's serious about Hoon's figure skating career."

Temperance sighed and gripped her arm, hearing that. Another variable that added to the urgency. She had to do something. The ball was already rolling and there was no going back after all. If she could use her powers well, she could bring their pasts to them now with some triggers to their minds.

The mind was her area of specialty.

On a warm sunny day, when Eunsook was walking outside, she trailed behind her, eyeing her in great apprehension. What she was about to do could change everything. It was burdensome but necessary. Something she always used to face.

If not now, it was never.

"Following Lust somewhere?"

Temperance flinched and found Humility staring at her disapprovingly.

"Huh? No- I wasn't!"

"Go home, Temperance."

She bit her lips and looked back at Eunsook. Another day with no progress?

"Now," he ordered and she had no choice.

"Next time," she whispered to herself and disappeared into the air.

Humility looked back at Eunsook who was walking into a bookstore and followed her inside. As soon as she settled into a small space with a stack of books, he stepped up to her, drawing her eyes to himself.

She waited for a moment for him to say something but he only stared back at her without a word.

"What a creep," she thought and cleared her throat. "May I help you?"

He smiled. "I thought so."

She frowned. "What?"

He suddenly leaned down towards her and touched her forehead with his finger, making her freeze. Millions and millions of sights kept pouring in, enough to crack her head open. Scenes after scenes, she was getting more and more lost. But a new identity was finding her.

"Are you with me, Deadly Sin of Lust?"

Her dazed eyes focused on him.

"Humility?"
