I decided to leave for my new journey on my own after a week of preparation. Mom was disappointed to see me go, Rosa kept reminding me to call her everyday, Hugh came back to Aspertia and made Rosa hormonal and panicked about confessing her feelings or not, and Nate went back to work out of the city, so after that moment together in the rain, he had to leave.

Looker took the liberty to accept my investment in the ranch I wanted outside of Flocessy town so I can grow my garden and hire people to help around the place while I was gone.

I reunited with my friends all over Unova and earned badges from every gym across the land, feeling proud of myself that I accomplished so much on my own.

My team became stronger and I finally had a Pokémon that can fly after Dragonair evolved! I was able to fly back home as often as I could, but Nate was never around. It's best that it stays like that for now...

After a long few months of traveling on my own and expanding my freedom with dancing and singing in random places, running into new Pokémon I haven't seen in my previous journey, I had the time of my life. I even got the chance to catch up with Cynthia before she left by the end of the summer.

"Finally..." I looked up at Victory Road "I'm finally here" I looked at my Xtransceiver to see a message pop up "Oh great! They're nearby!" I went back a bit further from where I was before to look down the steps that brought me here. Cheren and Bianca were escorting Professor Juniper up the stairs "Over here!" I waved.

"Camilla!" Bianca smiled and jumped up to run up the stairs and give me a big hug. I was able to reunite with her and Cheren back in trainer school in Aspertia, so they remember me well enough, but Professor Juniper had been too busy for me to visit and get my progress on my Pokédex.

"Hey! It's been a minute" I smiled, hugging her back.

"Come on, Professor" Cheren called. Juniper was tired from walking up the steps while watching her feet, so I went over to offer my hand to her.

"Here. Let me help you" she took my hand without looking at my face. When I helped her up the steps with everyone, she took a deep breath and sighed.

"I've been stuck in the lab for so long that I lost my stamina from traveling" she chuckled and looked at me "Oh! Is that you, Camilla?" I smiled "It's been a long time! How are you?"

"I'm well! Thank you! I got all my badges from every gym leader and am ready for the Pokémon league"

"That's great! Bianca told me Camilla was going to participate in the league, but I didn't know who that was. I was asked to come and meet them"

"You don't remember Camilla, Professor?" Cheren asked. I didn't bother telling my friends how they lost their memory. It's better that it's just left unsaid and pretend it was normal memory loss from being away for a whole year, almost two.

"I guess I've been so focused with work that I didn't even think about it" Juniper claimed. I giggled at the claim, finding it better than saying something confusing "Camilla... You went out on a new journey to collect badges? What stopped you before?"

"I had a lot of things wrong with me, but now that I'm in a better place, I wanted to find something that I can be proud of. I wanted to find my purpose... and so I thought to find a way to protect people. Being champion is someone who protects people, so I want to be like that too"

"So you already decided you wanted to be champion" Cheren messed with my hair "You're bold to think it's that easy" Bianca nodded.

"It's true! Cheren wanted to be champion as well when we first traveled. Around the time Hilda was heading up to face the champion after defeating the elite four, N had already beat the champion" I gasped, forgetting about that story "His castle built up from the ground around the Pokémon league, and it was up to Hilda to take his crown and defeat Team Plasma. Not that I think something like that will happen again, but it won't be easy. I believe in you to do you best!" I nodded.

"Thank you!" I thought for a moment.

"What is it?" Cheren asked.

"It's just that... I haven't been able to find Hilda" everyone looked at each other before nodding.

"Camilla... Do you know who the champion is?" Juniper asked. I shook my head "That's a shame. Anyway, I'm sure you'll be able to find her after you defeat the Elite four. I heard they're pretty tough"

"I'll keep that in mind" I gave her my Pokédex "Here you go... I completed it" she took the dex surprised "I had a wonderful time meeting all these Pokémon. Without this dex, I wouldn't have been able to learn more about them" she scanned through the dex before looking more surprised. Cheren and Bianca looked at it and made the same face "What is it?"

"When did you meet a Cresselia and Darkrai?" I held onto my dream catcher I kept on me "Look. You even found the Sword of legends... You're amazing, Camilla" Juniper said. I blushed and played with my fingers.

"I-It's nothing..." she gave me back my dex, confusing me.

"Hang onto that. If you are able to find Pokémon that I didn't expect you to encounter, who knows if you may find more. I can see how much the dex means to you, so hold onto it a bit longer" I hugged the dex and nodded "Good luck, Dear" my friends waved to me.

"Show off the bond you created with your Pokémon" Cheren gave a thumbs up.

"Make sure you let us know the news and where you'll be!" Bianca waved. I waved my goodbye and headed off to Victory Road.

For a place called Victory Road, I had a hard time getting pass many powerful trainers I've encountered. They have their Pokémon more energized than mine were due to them not letting me stop for a break every other minute or so.

Even with so many trainers, none we able to stop us from going up further until the Pokémon league was finally in sight. As soon as I walked out the cave, my Xtransceiver went off.

"Huh?" I answered without checking who it was "Hello-"

"Camie!" Rosa cried on screen.

"Rosa! What's wrong?" She pouted.

"You didn't call me today!" O-Oh right... I had been preparing for today that I forgot to call her "What are you doing?! It's already gotten late! You worried me sick!"

"I'm sorry! I was busy..."

"Busy? Busy with what?!" I turned around so I could show the Pokémon league behind me "You're all the way up there?! Wow!!" Her eyes sparkled "I can't believe it! Well, I do believe it! Not that I didn't think you could make it! That's so exciting!" She got close to the screen "When you come home, we're going to throw a celebration party!"

"Whoa whoa! I haven't even entered the building" I laughed "I'll let you know what's new. This will probably take me a few days if I'm lucky" she nodded happily.

"Oh, I wanted to tell you something..." she blushed and reached out for something before showing me a clear crystal quartz "Hugh came from training in Driftveil and discovered this pretty thing when he was with that gym leader, Clay!" I smiled at how happy she looked "Isn't it pretty? He gave it to me. He gave his sister one, but he gave the biggest one to me! What do you think that means?!"

"Calm down, silly girl. It doesn't matter how big the crystal is, but they technically are used for healing. Maybe there's something about it that made him want you to be okay, because you've been missing before" I shrugged "I looked at her daydreaming "Rosa" she snapped out of it.

"Sorry!" I just giggled "Well... I'm glad you're well and at a good place. I'm confident you'll go far!" I nodded, really wanting to ask her something, but decided not too "What's wrong? You want to know about Nate?" I flinched "Yeah" she laughed "You can't hide it from me"

"H-How's it been..?"

"Well, he still kind of tries to get me to go out with him, but it's not as annoying as you may think. He gets upset that I keep reminding him that I wasn't the one that saved him when we were kids, but what can you do?" she shook her head "he's home sometimes when Hugh comes home too. Hugh told me that he's been wanting to battle with Nate and talk about stuff, but Nate's been over at the ranch" I blinked confused.

"At the ranch? What's he doing there?"

"I checked before and he's just been taking care of the place for you" I cupped my mouth "He tends the garden and feeds the Pokémon. Nobody tells him too, but he does it anyway. He's always in his own little world. I have a feeling he's going to spend his winter break and New Years there" she frowned at me "When are you going to tell him, Camie?"

"It will have to be soon... I just been focusing on myself"

"You don't have to say it like it's a bad thing. Tell you what. When you come home for the holidays, I'm... I'm going to tell Hugh how I feel!" I smiled.

"Well... Took you long enough to make up your mind"

"Look who's talking!" I laughed "Anyway... Good luck in the Pokémon league. I'll be rooting for you!" We ended our call soon after blowing kisses and I was able to go towards the Pokémon league to register my badges.

While the badges were being registered, someone came from a large set of stairs and another came from another. The first one was a pretty girl with long blonde hair levitating a bit in place while yawning while the other was a girl wearing all black and big glasses, holding a book in her arms while they both approached me.

"You've finally came" the both of them said at the same time. I blinked confused at both of them while they looked at each other.

"What are you doing up, Caitlin?" The girl with the black clothes asked "Did you feel this girls aura like I did? I've been waiting for the chance to meet the girl my Pokémon talked so fondly of" She leaned close to my face to look at me "Well... I think this is the girl... What happened to your deadly aura?"

"She's gotten rid of it from the power of good dreams" Caitlin said "Shauntal, just because your Pokémon told you about her doesn't mean she was going to be like that forever" she looked at me "Your sacrifice was given, and you ended up getting your body back through this" she pointed at my dream catcher. I gasped and moved back.

"You were that fortune teller?"

"She's no fortune teller! She's just psychic" Shauntal said. Caitlin just yawned "She went off on her own to some town in the middle of Unova, so I followed after the second time she went and learned something new! You're that girl that was sleeping in that bed" I shivered.

"H-Huh..?"

"You're scaring her, you know?" Caitlin sighed "Forgive us. I didn't mean for Shauntal to follow me, but I went back to check on you when I wasn't busy. Your Pokémon was a bit slow to take out that dream catcher, so I had to remind it to take it out while Shauntal here was talking to the Pokémon around" so that's who was talking in my sleep before...

"You told Banette to take out my dream catcher?"

"I didn't even notice" Melanie came out "I had woken up when your body started coming back to life and nobody was in the room but your Pokémon. I was told by your Pokémon that the feathers weren't reaching you properly, so I did what I could"

"Good thing we talked to them! We had to get Caitlin back to bed before something bad happened" Shauntal smiled. She can see Melanie too? "Sorry you had to know this unexpectedly"

"Y-You... If you were there, why did you let me sleep for so long?"

"My powers need to be under controlled through my sleep, so I often sleep to take care of them. I know it's a poor excuse, but it's better than showing up and accidentally destroying your house" O-Oh shit... "I'm sorry it took so long. From the looks of it, I see that your body still hasn't fully healed even after almost a year. Being in a coma that long would take longer to recover from, even if your body was preserved. Be careful with the dream catcher... You wouldn't want anything happening to it" I slowly nodded.

"I... I guess I should thank you..?"

"You could had gone your whole life without knowing we were there, yet here we are" Shauntal laughed "This would make a great story to write" she started writing in her book. Caitlin sighed.

"You didn't have to be so secretive... You know?" I said.

"Sorry... I didn't really have a lot of time to talk"

"Your advice was useful... Thanks for everything"

"I just came to let you know about your dream catcher" she walked back to her set of stairs "If Shauntal never came out, you wouldn't have known"

"Sorry" Shauntal nervously laughed "I just wanted more details for a story I'm writing for ideas! But you're here now! Alive! That's all that matters! I look forward to your battle! Battle me first, okay?" I nodded as she ran off. They're... Strange, but I can't say I wasn't either.

"Were they really there that day?" I asked Banette. It nodded "That's... just weird" I sighed "but I should thank them personally when I battle them. I hope I can get that far" I was given my badges back and a room key to have my own room while I'm here for a few days to take the time to battle each elite four member and champion.

I went into my room and laid on my bed, ready for my battle tomorrow with a member I choose. I guess I should battle Shauntal first... since she's expecting me.

I rolled onto my back and stared at the ceiling, wondering if all my hard work will pay off in the end. I'm actually in the Pokémon league... for someone who wasn't allowed to battle, I got to battle so many people that I ended up getting here all on my own. It would've been great if I could be with Nate or even Rosa, but they have their own lives to live. I have to look for mine.

"I'll be home by next week... I can't believe Nate is at the ranch" I hung my dream catcher beside my bedside "It's like Caitlin said before... Those who loved you will never truly forget..." I hugged my pillow "He doesn't remember me... but he hasn't forgotten" I sighed "Remember... I'll help you remember... It would had been cruel of me to have you remember as I'm leaving" I picked up my Xtransceiver and looked through my contacts to see Nate's name. I wonder if he saved my number before since we've always been together...

"Well... I guess I'll find out later" I set it down to get ready for a shower. I heard a faint noise, but that must be from outside the door "What should I wear for tomorrow..?" I asked myself before singing as I looked through my clothes Banette spat out "I wish that we could do it over again... every smile, every tear, every part... cause I know nothing ever will end, if it's safe inside our hearts. So let's move on and never let go... as we take these steps on our own. Whatever will be, I'll remember you... so remember me..." I spun around my room "remember me... and I'll be there. Remember me, when you feel lost... somewhere. And I know with just one magic touch, it can all reappear. Whenever you need a good memory... remember me" I danced my way to my Xtransceiver and saw something unusual on the screen... It was in the middle of a call. I freaked out and cupped my mouth when I saw his name on there.

"Hello?" His voice cracked "Who's number is this?" I picked up the Xtransceiver to end the call before he spoke "Please..." I paused "Who was that singing? Something about it. Who is this?" I dropped to my knees and hung up. I hugged myself and felt myself starting to cry. He called me back, but I wouldn't answer. I'm sorry Nate... I'm sorry I'm being so cruel...
