I played a soothing melody from my Kalimba for mother to listen to while she's soaking her feet in some warm water and had a facial mask with cucumbers on her eyes.

It's been about a week since I came back home, and it's been a blast. Spending time with my mother was the best time I've had in a long time, but I had to go on and do what I have to do. I can't just sit here and wait.

She hasn't even told me about Rosa, still thinking I'm convinced that she's on tour. I'm not convinced at the slightest, and most likely she's just protecting me, but I can't have this go on any longer.

My plan is to leave later today in the afternoon. I already informed Looker on my plan and I wasn't going to let him stop me. If I didn't inform him of my plans, I wouldn't be able to be as free as I am right now. It's frustrating, but I just have to do what I had to do.

"You play so beautifully" mother took off the cucumbers to look at me smiling at her "what are you trying to do? Make me fall asleep?" I chuckled.

"I just wanted to calm your nerves a bit" she looked confused

"My nerves?" I closed my eyes, continuing to play "What do you mean? It's been years since I've been this calm. What nerves are you talking about-" her voice sounded troubled, like she was trying to convince me nothing was wrong.

"Mother, I would had hoped you'd tell me what happened to Rosa" she bit her lips and looked away "I first heard about it in the city, so I don't blame you for not telling me first, not that you could" I slowly stopped playing "But why did you feel the need to lie to me?"

"I..." she sat up to hold my knee "I didn't think you'd change this much... I wouldn't have thought you'd listen to anyone when they tell you something, since you never did. I didn't think you know from someone else" I nodded "I just didn't want you to worry about her. I know the police is on the case"

"Looker told me you always call to see if there are updates. Why would I not worried if you're broken" I squeezed my instrument "I left so suddenly... You lost your daughter, and then it happened to Rosa. I can't imagine how you would be feeling" I held my heart "I'm trying my best to make you feel better, but even I don't know how to cope myself about losing someone. All I know is that I missed you two terribly" I felt myself shaking, continuing to speak

"Father... left, sure... and it was difficult to accept that. I didn't know how to handle myself when I knew I could had done something different. I know what happened wasn't my fault. I just miss him. I know it doesn't make sense" I stood up to look out my window, where my Pokémon was watching me from a tree "I feel like people who lost their way are still present, no matter what. I don't believe they're gone, but you can't interact with them anymore. I can still interact with Rosa" I looked at my mother frowning at me

"I don't care if I'm not allowed to go anywhere on my own... I decided I want to look for Rosa" mother wiped her face and feet clean before coming my way to hold my shoulder. I looked away so I wouldn't have to look at how sad she looked.

"Camilla, you don't know the region. The reason why Rosa went missing was because she was on break from acting" I looked back at her confused "She traveled Unova, wanting to see what Hilda experienced, but then she disappeared. Nobody knew where she went"

"She went out to explore?" I smiled "Well, when you work in show business where they pretty much keep you locked up, I'm not surprise she wanted an escape. I felt the same way" I held mothers hands "I've been away for a long time... instead of being locked inside my entire life, I want to explore along the way. I know you've seen me as this defenseless little girl who screamed and cried when she met new people, but I'm way pass that. I'm going to leave" she sighed and moved my hair from my face.

"When?" I frowned

"This afternoon" I could tell she became stiff "I already told Looker my plan earlier. I didn't tell him at all the other days, so I'll be expecting an explosion soon" I giggled

"You..." she sighed with a smile "You certainly have changed" I sad smiled and went up to my room to wait for time to pass. I already packed my things in my bag with extra clothes, some safety equipment, and everything else I need. I'm just waiting for the explosion to start.

"Pretty rude of me to tell Looker and mother I'm leaving on the same day" I took out my red ink and pen and started drawing in my sketchbook while playing with the necklace around my neck "But I was never good at planning things. I just decided the day is the day" I leaned on my elbow and looked at my Pokémon watching me from the open window.

"It'll be dangerous to go out there without a Pokémon, and they think I won't have any protection" I looked back at the drawing of my Pokémon "how will this work? I wonder" I closed my eyes and smiled "Going with the flow sounds more exciting" I giggled, continuing to draw for a few hours until something pounded on my door.

"Who is it?" I sang, knowing very well who it was.

"Camilla! Who do you think you are?!" I smiled at Lookers angry voice as I'm finishing up the drawing "How dare you make up your own plans without discussing it with me first?!"

"Sorry, but I don't keep a schedule" I dipped my pen in the ink "I just thought today felt like a good day to leave and find my sister"

"You are prohibited to go anywhere without a guard!" I finished my drawing and softly blew on it to dry the ink "what made you think this was a good idea-"

"I just told you" I smiled at the door "today just felt like the day" he groaned and pounded on the door. I giggled and leaned back on my chair, watching the door shaking.

"Open this door!"

"It's not locked" it was silent for a moment before he turned the knob and opened the door, looking at me casually sitting on my desk with my leg across the other "It's good to see you again. It's been a week since I've last saw you. How was it?"

"I'm not here to chitchat"

"Awe, but don't we always have pleasant conversations?" I could see a vein pop on his forehead, making me laugh.

"Camilla, what made you think you'd be allowed to do this?" He took a deep breath, trying to calm down.

"I thought I told you in the message I sent through the Xtransceiver you recommended me to get" I shook my wrist with the device on "I'm going to look for my sister, and I won't take no for an answer"

"That's not your choice. The contract-"

"Does it look like I care?" A sweat creeped on his face, finding it difficult to try to convince me to back down to this "What are you going to do, Looker?" I crossed my arms. He closed the door behind him and groaned, fixing his tie straight.

"I suspected you to do something reckless, but at least I'm glad you told me" I was confused "It's true, I can't tell you what to do. You're free to do whatever you want as long as you won't cause trouble. We made a contract for you to never be on your own without a guard" I can think of the times my mother left me home while she goes to the post office to collect the mail "I already thought this through"

"Oh?" I stood up "So you expected me to go out to fulfill my dream of traveling?" I put my hands together excitedly "So are you coming with me?" He pulled his hair, looking frustrated.

"As exciting as that sounds" he said sarcastically "I don't think I can take another moment around you. You're a lot of work"

"Gee, I really thought we were friends" I looked away "I guess not... I don't blame you for getting tired of me. I like having fun, but I bug a lot of people and even I know I make them uncomfortable. It's not that easy to change again" I can feel him staring at me "You're the only person who really knows about me, and even if it's nice to have a friend that understands you, I'm nothing more than a job to take care of" I sighed and faked smiled "I actually like you because you're honest and isn't afraid to tell me how I make you feel. How can anyone else compare?"

"I've assigned someone to go with you on this journey" I looked at him surprised "He'll be able to handle you allot better than I can"

"Do you really think this person can handle someone like me?" I held my hips, amused "I'm disappointed you can't be the one to join me, but I can't complain too much. I'll make you a deal. If you chose this person, they must be good. If they can't handle me throughout this journey, I'm going on my own" I pointed at his face "It'll be your fault for not choosing the right candidate" he snorted.

"Trust me, he's more than qualified" I clapped my hands excitedly.

"Then what are we waiting for?! I'm ready to hit the road!" I cheered.

"This guard will be in charge of your safety as well. You still can't have a Pokémon" I snorted and glanced at my open window where my Pokémon left from.

"Then we'll have to see how good this guard is" he pet my head, surprising me.

"I know you look at me as a friend you can tell anything to without real judgment, since it's my job, but that's not the case" I pouted "My associate wasn't hired to be your friend, but because you're quite the character, I want to see if anything can change between the both of you when you start traveling together" he removed his hand and turned to the door "he's... different" I held my chin, interested.

"Someone unique? How exciting! I'm looking forward to meeting him-"

"Don't think he's weak, Camilla" I lowered my arms "Don't try to break him like everyone else you've encountered" I snorted, not amused this time.

"Like everyone I've encountered? Exactly what do you know about me?" I shrugged "Have some fate in me, will you? You think you may know me, and you don't, so don't you dare look at me like I don't know what I'm doing" I smiled. He patted my shoulder and walked out the room without another word. I had no idea what his problem is, but I'm certainly invested in what he got planned for me.

"He found someone so soon, too" I shook in excitement "I literally told him my plans a few hours ago" I smiled "Did he already plan this?" I squealed excitedly and hurried to my dressers to get dressed before grabbing my bag and looked at myself in the mirror, admiring how well I put the outfit together.

"This color looks great on me" I looked at my reflection wearing baggy white long sleeve sweat shirt with a simple tank top under it. Since it was a still warm, I had to wear the sweat shirt around my waist just in case there were places in Unova that were colder, despite it being late summer.

The top went well with some Jean shorts and knee high white socks and black running shoes. My legs don't get as cold as my torso, but I have backups just in case.

"It's simple, but so cute!" I fixed my very light brown hair that was almost blonde with pink tips and pulled it up in a high pony tail before tying my scarf on my head and made a huge bow, making it look like a huge headband "What do you think?" I asked my Pokémon by the window again. She cooed, complimenting me "You're so sweet" I waved "I'll be out in the open from now on, but always be close by" she nodded as I walked up to my red ink jar and swirled it in the glass "I'll just leave this here" I smiled and made sure everything was in my bag before heading downstairs, seeing Mother and Looker talking, with Mother not looking very happy.

"You know... It's kinda hard to pretend that you keeping a close eye on my daughter is normal" she crossed her arms "You are treating her like she's some criminal, not allowing her to have her own rights or even go out on her own. Why in the world would I approve of some person I never met before to follow my little girl? What right do you have to make a decision I have no say to?!" I frowned at how upset she was.

"With all due respect, this is classified information. As much as I want to be in your shoes and not get on anyone's bad side, this isn't exactly my decision to make" he held his hands up in defense "I can promise you that your daughter is more than qualified of taking care of herself, but she must have a guard with her at all times. She's... important"

"Stop it! You're not making any sense!" Mother snapped, starting to cry "Why is the police involved with my little girl?! Why did you take her away from me for five years?! I was never told why..." she looked down "I... I can't lose my daughters again. Rosa is missing... I don't want to lose anyone else" she cupped her face. I walked up to her to move her hand away, making her look up at me with her face covered in tears.

"I'm being protected, mother. You don't have to worry about me, and you don't have to pretend all this isn't bothering you. It just holds more stress in your heart" I held my chest "I'm sorry I've kept what happened from you, but this secret is my choice" she looked at Looker confused and back at me.

"Camilla... Why are you involved with the police? Do you work for them?" She furrowed her brows "Why are you important?" I giggled and hugged her "Camilla..?"

"I can't stand the thought of you becoming sad again... I'm sorry for leaving suddenly, but I want to make our family whole again. I'm going to look for Rosa" I let go and smiled at her "I'll keep in touch this time" she frowned for a moment, staring at my smile before slowly nodding.

"Well... You are a young adult now. I can't really say what you can or can't do" I moved her hair away "But you're still my daughter, so I want you to be careful" I nodded confidently.

"Of course!" I waved and walked to the door with Looker "I'll call you as many times as I can! I promise! You'll end up getting tired of me calling!" She managed to laugh and nodded.

"Okay" Looker and I went outside and looked back at mother still crying.

"I'll be back in no time! I love you!" I waved.

"Don't worry, she's in good hands" Looker bowed and walked with me to wherever he was leading me to find this guard I had to be with in order to travel the region. As excited as I am, I really hope they don't hold me back.

"That wasn't fair to not tell your mom about your plans the same day, Camilla" he told me. I nodded and hummed fo myself, ready to explore "Are you listening?"

"Oh yeah, Bianca said to let her know when I'm leaving so Cheren can give me something that'll help with the journey" his vein popped on his forehead "Yes, Looker" I sighed "I know it was unfair, but I had allot on my mind. You have no idea what goes on in there" I pointed at my head.

"I would hate to know" he sweat dropped. I chuckled "Your guard arrived not too long ago. He'll be waiting for us at the outlook. So whatever you have to take care of, do it fast"

"You work fast! I literally told you what I wanted to do a few hours ago and you already got someone to go with me! How did you convince him?" He fixed his tie and stopped at the trainer school where I needed to go.

"He had no choice" I looked at him confused but didn't question him. We went into the trainer school and met up with Bianca and Cheren, who were expecting my arrival and gifted me something amazing just for being related to my cousin. A Pokédex!
