45: Leo
Brick pads out onto the stage, flicking his ear as he waves his tail at the crowd. After adjusting his bowtie, he dips his head and opens his muzzle.
"Hello viewers, and welcome back to Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Stars! Today I've got your favorite tom here to present a constellation... say hello to Lionblaze!"
The golden tabby burst out from the red curtains behind the stage, and Brick slips behind them. All the she-cats gasp.
Lionblaze smiled at the crowd. "Hello, everyone. My name is Lionblaze, and I'll be presenting you the constellation of Leo. Fun fact -- Leo means lion in some language Rio is too lazy to look up."
He pauses in confusion, but shakes his head and moves on. A few she-cats in the crowd faint from his hotness.
"Leo is the 12th largest constellation in the sky, and obviously, it is depicted as a lion."
The image appears on the projector.
"Leo is usually associated with the Nemean lion, which is from Greek mythology. It has the super rad zodiac symbol of ♌. A Greek astronomer first categorized it in the 2nd century. His name was Ptolemy, and he also did all the other zodiac constellations..."
Rio, who hates zodiacs from the bottom of her biological heart, is being restrained at the side stage.
Lionblaze read off a card. "Leo constellation is home to the bright stars Regulus and Denebola, the nearby star Wolf 359, and to a number of famous deep sky objects, among them galaxies Messier 65, Messier 66, Messier 95, Messier 96, Messier 105, and NGC 3628. Isn't that cool!" He tossed the index card into the crowd, where some squealing she-cats snatched it up.
A fight begins in the crowd, but Lionblaze is too busy.
"The Nemean lion, which Leo represents, was a vicious monster in Greek mythology. It lived in Nemea. There were actual populations of lions in Greece recorded until 100 BCE, when they became extinct."
Lionblaze flashes a grin. A she-cat faints.
"Well, that's all for today! Follow me at @Lionblaze on Twitter and @LionblazeX on Wattpad." Spinning on his heels, the tom swaggered off the stage, leaving the she-cats behind.
By Rio. ⛈ I'm sorry; I hate zodiacs.
