33: Draco

The stage lights turn on, and a hush falls over the crowd, but the familiar ginger tom is yet to appear. After a few moments, a shadow appears near the top of the stage, and Brick, lifted by a metal harness, appears to float down from the ceiling.

"Hello everyone!" cheered the ginger tom, panting slightly as his paws finally made contact with the ground. "Welcome ba—" he was interrupted as the harness jolted upward. "Put me down!" the tom shouted toward the ceiling.

"Sorry," a mew echoed downward.

After the harness is set onto the ground and Brick manages to wiggle out of the straps, he adjusts his bow-tie and flashes a smile at the crowd, who bursts into cheers.

"Yeah, we were just trying to do something different... but I guess we'll be avoiding that particular stunt," Brick meowed lightly. "Anyways, let's get on with the show! Everyone, say hello to—" he paused, staring at the notecard in his hand. "...Firestar?"

The crowd erupts into boos as another ginger tom joins Brick in the center of the stage.

Firestar tried to ignore them, smiling. "Hello everyone!" he meowed as Brick exited, having to shout over the booing crowd. "I have a constellation to show you today!"

He presses a button on the remote, and the above image flashes onto the screen.

"This is Dra—" A shoe clubbed Firestar in the face, and he stumbled, paws flying to his face. The remote clattered against the ground and the crowd cheered, seeing his pain.

"Let me finish," the ginger tom hissed. "Draco is one of the largest constellations. It's located in the northern area of the sky, and it has nine stars with known planets!"

"No ones cares!" shouts an audience member, followed by a burst of cheers. Firestar looks hurt for a second, but he quickly regains his composure, hissing something toward the sidestage before turning back to the crowd with a bright smile.

"Draco is in a lot of different myths, but the main one is the myth of the 12 Labors of Hercules, which is something Rio had to study in school last," he meowed as the fourth wall shattered. The cats quieted their booing for a second, distracted by the breaking of the wall. Taking advantage of the silence, Firestar continued, "A golden apple tree was given to Hera when she married Zeus. She planted the tree and had Draco guard it."

Someone rolls a cannon into the auditorium, and the screen goes black.

Rio... Rio doesn't hate Firestar. I just like verbal abuse. And sometimes physical abuse.
