Game of Revelations
Here is the next shot, dedicated to dear suryakavi0912
Here's the prompt you asked for. Hope it's somewhat like you imagined it to be.
The little girl ran inside the room and scanned the space for humans. Her sister sat on the bed, with cartoons playing in the TV, Barbies and all other cuddly toys resting against pillows.
Aarushi looked at her sister briefly before grabbing the small bowl kept on the bedside table and offering to Arshi.
Aarushi - Alshi, M n Msh?
Arshi hopped on the bed to take a handful but the other gasped in worry, pushing her off and circling her arms around her dolls to protect them.
Aarushi - Bahbiesh!
Arshi rolled her eyes and shifted to leave space for her Barbies. But Akshay was not home and she needed a playmate.
Arshi - Aalu, I boh, we pay?
Her eyes shone bright like diamonds at her sister's proposal of playing with her.
Aarushi - Yesh, yesh. Let'sh pay wid Bahbiesh. We desh and make hea (hair). Shoo much fun.
Arshi - No no, no pay Bahbie. Shum-thin elsh.
And her face fell immediately. Arshi pondered for a second before smiling to her little sister and curving her lips with her fingers.
Arshi - Shmile Aalu, we pay Bahbie lata. Now we pay favot game.
Aarushi - Wow. Yeeeeeesh!!! Favot game.
She exlaimed in happiness and jumped off the bed. Arshi followed and ran towards the cupboard. While Aarushi carefully put her Barbies and stuffed toys to sleep on the pillows, Arshi ran out and pulled a chair inside the room. She climbed on it opening the cupboard and then inside.
Aarushi - I pay Mumma!
Arshi - Then I Daddy.
She threw out a Sari for the younger one and took a coat for herself. Just as she was to jump down, Khushi entered the room and stopped her right there.
Khushi - Arshi!!!
With a jerk, she looked up to see her mother approaching her in haste. Khushi lifted her in her arms and flared her nostrils.
Khushi - Had you jumped down, you'd have broken your arm or leg. And then your father, he'd have made my life hell for the rest of our lives.
Arshi - Mumma, don!
The kiddo struggled and Khushi had to put her stubborn three years old down. She collected the fallen clothes from the floor and set them back in the cupboard while her eyes were fixated on the two sisters standing in front of the mirror, watching them struggle with the coat and Sari.
After two minutes of observing them, she sighed and walked over to help them.
Khushi - Yeh nahi ki Maa ko puch le. Baap samet sab kuch khud hi karna hai. Sab ke sab Laad Governor hai. (Not that they'd think of asking their mother. Like father, like daughters, always want to do everything on their own. All of them are Laad Governors.)
Twins watched her silently and blinked at each other with pouted lips as she helped them wear the coat and Sari while complaining about them and their father. They were too scared of her to speak up.
Khushi - Now go, do whatever you want, just as you and your father always do.
The bewildered duo frowned at their mother. It was not difficult to guess she was angry on someone. And that someone just entered the room on the correct time.
Arnav - Oh, now me and my children are being scolded here for nothing.
She got up adjusting their attires and looked away, fuming in anger. Twins giggled at each other, their hero Daddy is here to save them from their Mumma's reasonless wrath.
Khushi - Don't provoke me. I'm not talking to you.
She walked out to the poolside with her phone. Little Raizadas pushed their father's legs to follow her and sort the matter.
Arnav - So you both want me to go and pacify her!?
Arshi, Aaru - Yesh! GO!
The pushed him out and ran back inside to start with their own play, their favorite game of enacting their Mumma and Daddy.
Arnav walked to her who sat at the table scrolling through her phone. She wouldn't look up, so he just sat down on the next chair.
Arnav - You're angry with me, don't let it out on my daughters.
She raised her brows at him in a breath and grit her teeth.
Khushi - Let me remind you Mr. Raizada, you may have forgotten it but I gave birth to them. They are mine too!
He stared at her, speechless for a moment. Always the birth card. And there was nothing suitable to retaliate.
But that wasn't needed since their attention was diverted by the voices coming from inside.
Arshi - Kuchiiiiii
The couple shared a look with each other before getting up and advancing towards the door. They stood there to watch the scene going on inside.
Arshi - Kuchiiiiiii
Aarushi - Waith na, I come Annav ji.
They attentively observed the two as they copied the morning scenario, Arshi laying on the bed, still wearing his coat and Aarushi coming out of the bathroom.
Arnav - I don't wear a jacket in bed.
Khushi -. Don't talk to me.
He gave her a look before averting his view back to them.
Aarushi - Wat u wan? Geth up n go offish.
Arshi - Come hea.
Aarushi climbed on the bed with much efforts and gathered her Sari together.
Aarushi - Oho, my shali open.
Khushi put her palm on her mouth and couldn't help but giggle at that.
Arshi - That no happen Mumma. You no pay gud Mumma.
Aarushi - Hey Devi Mai-ya. I pay gudh!
Both the parents raised their brows in amusement at Aarushi's Hey Devi Maiya.
Arshi - Then pay. Be Mumma, not Aalu.
Aarushi - Hey Devi Mai-ya. Annav ji, u cush (crush) mah baby Aalu'sh Bahbiesh.
She pushed her off and rolled her to the other side, saving her Barbies from suffocating under Arshi.
Aarushi - No gudh.
Arshi - Leave Aalu'sh Bahbiesh. Come, kissh me.
Arshi pulled her towards herself and Khushi's eyes popped out. She shot daggers at Arnav.
Arnav - When did they see that?
Khushi - You do that every morning! They're always around.
He rolled his eyes but smiled internally. She forgot she wasn't speaking to him.
Aarushi - Annav ji, I no tem. I go puja, then kissh mah babiesh. They hungy, give them milk.
Arshi - Sho badh. No tem foh Alshi'sh Daddy.
Arnav smiled at his little self. How cute she was, emotionally blackmailing Khushi just the way he does.
Aarushi - And Aalu'sh Daddy? No Aalu'sh Daddy?
Arshi - Yesh yesh. Aalu Daddy too!
Arnav and Khushi chuckled now, turning their gaze to each other in that, but then remembered their anger and masked their expressions again.
Aarushi - Sho go, get ledy and go offish.
Arshi - Ok Kuch.
She kissed her cheek and Aarushi gasped imitating her mother. Arshi hurried off the bed and ran inside the bathroom, escaping a light hit by Aarushi.
Aarushi slipped towards the night table of his side and grabbed Arnav's phone kept there. She looked behind once at the bathroom door before unlocking the phone and scrolling through.
Khushi alarmed, Arnav frowned and then it took a second to understand.
Arnav - You check my phone everyday? Is that how you trust me?
She looked away trying to come up with a good excuse.
Khushi - Um, no...I- I don't. They're, just, I don't know why she's doing that.
Arnav - My babies don't lie, in contrary to their mother!
And that hit her ego and self respect. She twisted to him on a toe.
Khushi - Excuse me? I don't lie! So what if I touch your phone and just see it in general. Don't you sometimes just see my phone?
Arnav - No! I only see twins photos in your phone, other than that I never check your phone.
She grimaced and turned back to look inside. She knew he was right, he never specifically checked her phone. Not that she doesn't trust him, but better safe than sorry.
Arshi - I leady. Now I go offish.
Aarushi - Bye Annav ji.
Arshi pecked her forehead and went out of the room.
Aarushi switched on TV and took her Barbies.
Aarushi - Now Mumma and babiesh pay. Daddy come shoon, then pay wid him.
And in the next moment Arshi returned inside.
Arshi - Kuchi, I back. So tied, all day offish.
Aarushi - Oh Annav ji, I give coffee.
Aarushi ran to the bucket kept there in which many of her toys are kept. She fished a tea set out of it and handed Arshi a cup.
Arshi - Ah. Sho tashty.
Aarushi - U lesht and pay wid babiesh.
The real parents watched the fake parents with so much attention and interest. Aarushi sat at the dressing table, acting to be busy in something while Arshi acted to be playing with their twins, who were being played by none else than Aarushi's Barbies.
Arshi - Oh, man babiesh Pitza? Wat Pitza?
She got up and took the iPad kept at the TV commode and opened random pages in it.
Arshi - We shee, wat Pitza and then odah...oh, Chicha Pitza? Ok, but no shay Mumma. We go and eath.
Aarushi - Wat no shay me?
Arshi - Uh, no, nothin. .
On the other side Aarushi was narrowing her eyes to her fake hubby Arshi, on the other side Khushi was glaring her husband with raging eyes.
Khushi - You fed them chicken Pizza?
He facepalmed himself. His innocent babies were revealing everything here.
Khushi - You know I'm bringing them up as vegetarians and yet you feed them meat behind my back!?
Arnav - It was just once. They saw that pizza and wanted to have that only.
She looked at him in disbelief. She hadn't expected that from him.
Khushi - How could you!? Don't you respect my sentiments at all?
Arnav - It was just once Khushi! And I hid it from you because I knew you'd overreact if you get to know!
She shook her head at him in denial.
Khushi - Overreact!? You know, all this is not a small thing for me! I don't want them to eat meat.
Arnav - I know. Everything has to go according to what you want!
Anger took control in no time but they had to keep their voices lowered, twins weren't aware of being under the observance of their parents.
Aarushi - U hide fom me?
Arshi - No. I luv du.
Aarushi smiled cutely at that, other than the real Khusho who was everything else than pleased.
Aarushi - I luv du too.
Arshi - Ho muth (How much)?
Aarushi pondered for a second before then grinning wide.
Aarushi - Moa than Jebi.
Arshi - U no (You know), I eath Jebi choli choli (chori chori - secretly).
Khushi was again left to wonder and looked at him, not pleased with the new set of information.
Khushi - You secretly eat Jalebis? You're diabetic! Since when have you started not caring for your health?
Arnav - Few days ago they wouldn't let me even taste any and were teasing me, so I tricked them into looking behind and broke a small piece. They must be talking about that. I'm not so into sweets, unlike you.
She still watched him suspiciously and he shrugged his shoulders, looking back inside.
Aarushi - Annav ji, badh badh boi. No eath Jebi.
Arshi - U make, sho I eath. Elsh no.
She couldn't resist smiling at that. His lips too stretched upwards. They had caught it so well.
Arshi - U too no gudh gal. Alshi shee, u fath (fart) and shay I no do.
Aarushi - I fath? No posshi-bal.
Khushi smacked her head. There they go spilling out this detail. Arnav thinned his lips looking at her, suppressing his laughter at her reaction.
Arnav - So you lie about farting?
Khushi - Wh' what? No, I- I don't fart.
Embarrassed, walked back to the table, avoiding an eye contact. Her husband could see through her eyes if she was lying or not. Although he didn't even need to look at her to make out she was lying. He knew, in all these years of marriage, farting was something she controlled a lot. Like any other woman, she was quite conscious about it.
Arnav - Oh c'mon, don't be embarrassed about it.
He followed her and she set up an angry face to divert the talk away from herself, back to him. Determined, she turned to see him.
Khushi - I don't need to be embarrassed about anything. You should be, you never listen to me and always do whatever you want. You feed them meat. And don't forget am angry with you for taking twins out for ice cream despite my denial.
Arnav - They wanted to, so I just took them out. What's the big deal?
Khushi - Big deal is that I denied and you took them out despite that!
He looked at her and sighed. He thought of just apologizing than arguing to her. The problem was he can't deny them anything and she denies almost everything.
Arnav - Ok, I'm sorry. You know me, I can't deny them.
Khushi - But you need to learn that. This can't go on. We need to be a team, else they'll break us and win against us.
He chuckled at his wife, the way she gestured to him with her finger, typical Sanka Devi. Winning and losing, the most used words in their mental dictionaries.
Arnav - Ok, done. But you be my teacher, teach me.
Khushi - My pleasure Arnavji. Nothing I'd like to do rather.
She rubbed her hands in excitement. There she goes, his crazy wife. He pulled her in a hug smiling. She reciprocated, smiling wide.
In that while Arshi and Aarushi were continuing their favorite game of impersonating their Mumma Daddy.
Aarushi - Annav ji, come, I hep u.
She took her to the mirror and helped her remove the coat. And then Arshi pulled Aarushi closer.
Arshi - Now kissh me.
Aarushi - Ting ting. Oh, Aman phone.
Aarushi giggled moving away and Arshi nodded then acting to be accepting the call.
Arshi - Yesh Aman
Aarushi grabbed his real phone in the meanwhile and scrolled through the gallery. And then, as soon she saw a specific photo she showed it to Arshi. And their faces reddened, their nostrils widened, steam leaking out of their ears.
"ANNAV SHINGH LAIZADA"
The two broke out of their embrace and looked inside, at their angry birds. Confused, they went in to see what had taken over their little innocent babies.
Khushi - What happened? Why are you two shouting like this?
Arnav - Hey dolls, why are you angry with Daddy?
They fumed pulling them down to their height and held the phone in front of their faces without any distance. And they could see his photo with a little girl.
Arnav and Khushi looked at each other and understood the matter. The little Laad Governors were jealous.
Arshi - Who thish? Who thish? Who thish?
Aarushi - U mah Daddy! Why thish gal wid u? Why? Why? WHY???
Khushi rolled her eyes at the two. These two possessive ASRs were exactly her carbon copy in overreacting.
Arnav - I am only your Daddy. I'm sorry. I won't click any photo with any other girl again.
He held his ears, apologizing to them. It was one of those days where he needed to apologize from Khushi and her miniature versions.
Arshi - Beta! (better) Elsh no gudh.
Aarushi - How dea u. Only I uah baby!
Arshi - N me!!!
Khushi giggled and went out to get their milk. Now that her Sanak had taken over them, It'll take them a while to sort the matter. That should be his punishment for going alone to that award and keeping their twins hidden in the safe walls of Shantivan.
And with that she left the room, leaving him alone to bear and deal with their lectures and scoldings.
