Jackie's POV

We arrive at Ship Wreck Cove safely. "So this is where you grew up?" I ask Jack.

"Yes, it's the safest place for a pirate to raise children. Not many have children, I hope for our son or daughter to raised here" he tells me.

"I'd like that, as long as you visit" I tell him smiling.

"Of course I will, oh and I've narrowed down the names for the baby. If it's a girl" he tells me quietly.

"To what?" I ask him.

"Coralia and Delphine" he states.

"Beautiful, I tell you once I decided on one" I tell him.

"Sounds good luv" he says smiling. We dock the boat and go into the meeting room with the others. To see not all the pirate lords have arrived yet. We're still waiting on Sao Feng. But Barbossa decides to call the meeting to order anyways.

" As he who issued summons, I convene this, the fourth Brethren Court. To confirm your lordship and right to be heard, present now your pieces of eight, my fellow cap'ns" Barbossa tells them. They each place their piece of eight in the bowl Ragetti is carrying as he passes them. Jack wraps an arm around my waist holding me close. As Ragetti returns to Barbossa. "Mr. Ragetti, if you will" he says holding a hand out.

"I kept it safe for you, just like you said when you gave it to me" Ragetti tells him.

"Aye, ya have, but now I need it back" Barbossa tells him. He whacks him in the back of the head. Making the wooden eye pop out and he places it in the bowl. That was clever.

"Sparrow!" one of the lords shouts. I think his name was Villanueva. Jack touches the coin attached to his bandana. But does not remove it.

"Might I point out that we are still short one pirate lord, and I'm content as a cucumber to wait until Sao Feng joins us" he tells the others.

"Sao Feng is dead. He fell to the Flying Dutchman" Elizabeth announces appearing with Sao Feng's crew. She puts her sword in the globe of the world. As the pirate lords mutter about the plague ship (the Flying Dutchman)

"And made you captain? They're just giving the bloody title away now" Jack mumbles. I hit his arm giving him a stern look.

"Listen. Our location has been betrayed. Jones is under the command of Lord Beckett, they're on their way here" Elizabeth announces.

"Who is this betrayer?" Jocard asks.

"Not likely anyone among us" Barbossa assures them.

"Where's Will?" Elizabeth asks.

"Not among us" Jack tells her and I frown at him. Isn't Will in the brig?

"And it matters not how they found us. The question is, what will we do now that they have?" Barbossa asks the court.

"We fight" Elizabeth states, making the pirates laugh.

"Shipwreck Cove is a fortress, a well supplied fortress. There is no need to fight if they cannot get to us" Mistress Cheng tells her.

"There is a third course. In another age, at this very spot, the first court captured the sea goddess, and bound her in her bones. That was a mistake. Oh, we tamed the seas for ourselves, aye, but opened the door to Beckett and his ilk. Better were the days when mastery of seas came not from bargains struck with eldritch creatures, but from the sweat of a man's brow and the strength of his back alone. Y'all know this to be true. Gentlemen, ladies. We must free Calypso" Barbossa tells the court.

"Shoot him!" Ammand demands.

"Cut out his tongue" Jocard adds.

"Shoot him and cut out his tongue, then shoot his tongue. And trim that scraggly beard" Jack states. I smile leaning into him, he can always make me smile. Even in this situation where we could all die.

"Sao Feng would have agreed with Barbossa" Tai Huang tells the court.

"Calypso was our enemy then, she will be our enemy now" Jocard states.

"And it's not likely her mood's improved" Chevalle adds.

"I would still agree with Sao Feng, we release Calypso!" Villanueva states placing a pistol on the table.

"You threaten me?" Chevalle asks.

"I silence you" Villanueva answers. The pirates lord all start to argue as the two men fight.

"This is madness" Elizabeth and I say.

"This is politics" Jack corrects us.

"Meanwhile our true enemies are bearing down upon us" I state.

"If they not be here already" Barbossa says. He climbs into the table and fires his pistol. Grabbing everyone's attention. "It was the first court what imprisoned Calypso, and we will be the ones to set her free. And in her gratitude she will see fit to grant us boons" he tells them.

"Who's boons? Your boons?" Jack asks pulling away from me. "Utterly deceptive twaddlespeak, says I" he states.

"If you have a better alternative, please, share" Barbossa tells him as he hops off the table.

"Cuttlefish" Jack says smiling and I roll my eyes. "Let us not, dear friends, forget our dear friends the cuttlefish. Flippant glorious little sausages. Pen 'em up together and they'll devour each other without a second thought. Human nature, isn't it?...or....or fish nature. [hand on Mistress Cheng's shoulders] So yes, we could hole up here well provisioned and well armed and half of us would be dead within the month, which seems grim to me any way you slice it. Or, as my learned colleague so naively suggests, we could release Calypso, and we can pray that she will be merciful. I rather doubt it. Can we in fact pretend that she is anything other than a woman scorned, like which fury hell hath no? We are left with but one option. I agree with, and I cannot believe the words are comin' out of me mouth, Captain Swann. We must fight" he states.

"You've always run from a fight" Barbossa tells him.

"I have not!" Jack exclaims.

"Have too!" Barbossa shouts. The others are looking from one to the other.

"Have not!" Jack shouts back.

"Have to Jack" I say smirking.

"Have not luv" he tells me pouting.

"You have to, and you know it!" Barbossa snaps.

"Have not, slander and calumny! I have only ever embraced that oldest and noblest of pirate traditions. I submit here and now, that is what we all must do, we must fight... to run away" Jack explains. I frown, not even I understood him that time.

"As per the code, an act of war, and this be exactly that, can only be declared by the pirate king" Barbossa states.

"You made that up" Jack says.

"Did he now?" I ask raising an eyebrow. "I call on Captain Teague, keeper of the code" I declare.

"SeSumbhajee proclaims this all to be folly! Hang the code! Who cares if..." the pirate is shoot dead. We all look at the man in the shadows.

"Code is the law" Captain Teague states as he steps into the light. "You're in my way, boy" he says to Jack. Who moves out of his way as two men appear with the code. They place it on the table and Captain Teague opens it. He reads it and says "Barbossa is right".

"Hang on" Jack says and looks at the code. Reading it out loud. "It shall be the duty of the king to declare war, parlay with said adversaries... fancy that" he says surprised.

"There's not been a king since the first court, and that's not likely to change" Chevalle says.

"Not likely" Teague agrees as he returns to his seat. Picking up his instrument.

"Why not?" Elizabeth asks.

"Because the king is elected by popular vote" I tell her.

"And each pirate only ever votes for himself" Barbossa adds. Jack called for a vote and everyone voted for themselves. Until it came to Jack.

"Elizabeth Swann" he votes.
