Echizen Ryoma's eyes opened finally at the real world. He still has his breather with him. He can feel his leg a little now and the pain in his chest vanished. His heart is beating normal now. He smiled. He knew he's getting better now. He can relax now a little and when Doctor Akino Akira went inside, his worries for almost two days went away.

"I'm happy you finally woke up. I wondered when you'll wake up actually."

He smiled happily. He's back finally! He's getting better, right? The E.T tube was taken away from him already but the breather stayed for a while.

"You said once to me, you want to be in a 'normal' hospital room. Now, for almost a week, this will be the day you go to a normal room because today, we know you are ready. Don't push yourself too much, ok?" he said. 

"Can I have visitors, now?"

"Of course but you have to choose few people first," he said.

Echizen's eyes glowed and brightened. "I really want to meet Ryuzaki Sakuno, sensei."

"Any others?" he asked. After that, he told him few names before he was finally moved to a new room. He was so happy to get away from the ICU and moved to a better room. He was now able to lie in a more comfortable place without those machines that was connected to him for almost seven days.

Of course, just like before, every person who is close to him gets to learn he had already woken up especially his parents and cousin who were already allowed to visit him but it was Kudo Shinichi and Mouri Ran who were the first to come. They came next to them. His father hugged him tight that really annoyed him but he was right by trusting his son in everything he do.

"How are you, Ryoma?" his mother asked.

Hattori Heiji went inside and it seemed no one except Ran welcomed him. He almost feel he doesn't belong where he is but he'll be needed next to help after Echizen Ryoma's parents go back home.

Ryoma's stomach grumbled loud and swallowed. "Hungry."

His father danced happily taking out a bento from Nanako's bag and told him, "Nanako's Special! You're cousin cooked it for you!!!"

Nanako stood up and tried to grab it away but the bento's finally in front of Echizen's bed table.

Ryoma can only sigh as he was opening it. His father really is an annoying father but by the way his father reacted, he knows that he was the father he cares and love. He smiled.

"Oyaji, I'm fine. I'm just hungry."

"You will really get hungry. You haven't ate using your mouth for days! Did they let you brush?" joked his father.

Ryoma just brushed actually after he woke up and get moved in Room 128, just three doors away from the ICU where he slept for so long. He started to eat the bento when Nanako gave him his spoon. Well, it tasted good but it tasted different from his mother's or Nanako's. He knew that it couldn't be them or may be he just forgot about it but to be sure, he questioned them, "Who cooked this? There were few burns on the bento."

Nanako's eyes felt like she was nailed down on the floor and told herself, "That's why I don't want him to eat that."

Ryoma just ate it happily and it seemed he doesn't care anyway. Doctor Akira-sensei went inside and asked him, "After Kudo Shinichi-kun and Hattori Heiji-kun finished talking with you, you'll do some rehabilitation to help you feel your legs again. You'll do some breathing exercise because that's where you are affected mostly."

"Hai! Sensei..."

The Seigaku Regulars learned about Ryoma's condition and the news that he already woke up were all announced by Coach Ryuzaki inside their Meeting Room. Of course, they all wanted to all go and visit him already but she remembered that Doctor Akino Akira told her that upon waking up, Echizen Ryoma chose people he wanted to meet that day including Ryuzaki Sakuno and his bucho. "The others can start visiting him tomorrow but today, he asked Doctor Akino whom he only wanted to meet."

All were jealous to Tezuka-bucho. 

Momoshiro doesn't even know why Echizen didn't choose him for the first batch of visitors.

"Why did ochibi choose people who will visit him?" Eiji asked Coach Ryuzaki.

"Doctor Akino Akira is only preventing Echizen Ryoma-kun to have complications in his lungs due to the fact that it was the most affected, so, he asked him to choose people he wanted to meet first. We don't want Echizen-kun to endure much more pain, right?" then, she went outside the room. She saw Ryuzaki Sakuno outside waiting for her. Coach Ryuzaki went inside for a while and told Tezuka, "Tezuka, accompany Sakuno to the hospital. It seemed for Doctor Akino Akira that when Ryoma-kun opened his eyes, he was already searching for her."

Tezuka stood up and knew that he has to accompany Ryuzaki Sakuno to go to the hospital. The Seigaku Regulars all giggled when they heard that Tezuka will accompany her.

"Ochibi's making her move, NYA!' Kikumaru Eiji jumped up high.

"That makes 98% that Echizen dreamed about her while he was unconscious," Inui said.

"Make that 100% Inui-senpai. He did save her, right? I'll soon ask him his reasons why he was so close to Sakuno, anyway but he seemed not to show it the way Sakuno does."
