The next day, Haibara Ai went back where Shinichi is. She was just waiting at Shinichi to tell her everything what happened last night in the large library.

"You failed catching her," she mocked.

He scratched his head. "She's really fast and I figured everything out how she escapes but for now, how is Echizen?" asked Kudo Shinichi inside his personal library in Beika District to Haibara Ai.

She was small again. "He's probably sleeping and dreaming. Now tell me what happened to her yesterday."

"Kiyoko didn't like what happened last night. Aioko escaped yesterday even we are too many. She disappeared like magic but when I looked up more, she didn't really disappear. She escaped by disguising herself as a police officer and left without a trace. It's normal for Black Organization Members anyway. Also, Irene Lee wasn't lying, Haibara?"

"Yes. Echizen and Aioko have close contact and relationship before she turned to target him because of he witnesses what she was doing as the newest Black Organization member. It seems, they were friends before not until he left United States and flew to Japan."

"There was a promise broken, isn't it? Her act is not just because it was her mission but an act of revenge, isn't it?" Shinichi asked but he is sure of what he said.

"Hai... she should have understood the young boy. He really has a knack of forgetting people he once knew for a little time."
