A/n: I hope you like my fanfiction!

Katsuko Sakura stayed at the clinic inside Seishun Gakuen than to be transfered at a nearby hospital due to the advices of the detectives, Kudo Shinichi and Takagi Wataru that she was safer inside the school. They only came at the school after all of the students have gone home so that, they won't make any ruckus going on.

Inspector Megure quickly went back to their office after talking to Katsuko Sakura to find a lethal information about an old murder case that he believes might be connected to the current case they were having now. It was late at night when Detective Sato saw him busy looking for a particular envelope. Of course, he asked Detective Sato about it.

"Have you seen the files we have when the not yet so famous  Echizen Ryoma was first attacked with a certain girl named Ryuzaki Sakuno?"

"Inspector Megure, you don't need to rummage already, I'm holding that envelope. Kudo told me that it is connected to the case today."

They opened the envelope and after reading the files, they didn't create any advancement, rather, they read a quick peek of Echizen's gruesome past by Sakuno's statement. Also, they now understood why Echizen couldn't even remember that past when they asked him.

"He received a big blow to his head making him fall and collapse, Sakuno received a shot at her right arm, and their senpai, Furukawa Ern was murdered. By the investigations back then, Sakuno only told us that their attacker is wearing black clothes and glasses. We didn't find the murder weapon or any traces of a suspicious person lurking around the place," Detective Sato said.

"The case was quickly closed because we couldn't find any evidence that they really had an attacker beyond the three of them. What we only had was Ryuzaki Sakuno's statement," Inspector Megure said.

"We also took this case to help the Tokyo Police who were having problems but even Beika had the same problem. Now that Echizen Ryoma became very popular after winning the Nationals and participating in US Open, his life is at risk again."

"Why are they endangering the life a very young man?"

"Inspector, we cannot make quick conclusions by now."

Kikumaru Eiji and Oishi Shuichiro were walking happily as they were going to school when suddenly, they heard Atobe Keigo for help. They were both shocked hearing his voice.

"Oishi, isn't that Atobe's voice?" Kikumaru asked.

"Yeah, it was."

They ran in different directions to find Atobe and when both went to the court where they play street tennis, they found his butler dead and Atobe, unconscious. Oishi quickly brought him to the hospital and Eiji called for the police.

Detective Sato is quickly assigned to investigate at the crime scene. Of course, Kudo Shinichi were helping them. He had just recently swallowed the antidote given by Haibara Ai.

Even if he's dizzy, he was still able to see something a normal person wouldn't notice. The pierce of Ern's wounds at his chest(which he saw at the picture of the old file Detective Sato and Inspector Megure looked up) and Atobe's butler's wounds were obviously the same. Most of all, Detective Takagi just finished taking Keigo Atobe's statement.

There were also signs of chocking at the butler's neck. Most of all, it was just the same way of murder when Ern died. No one can find the murder weapon.

"Detective Sato, the murder weapon is still at the serial murder's hands. This case is just like Ern's case before!" he said. After that, they listened to Detective Takagi's report.

"His attacker was asking where he can find the Echizen Residence. He told him that he didn't know but that resulted to that person killing the butler and him fainting after seeing and smelling too much blood. He also said that his butler died because of protecting him."

Detective Takagi told everyone by Detective Sato's phone set to loudspeaker. This made Kudo Shinichi convinced that the attacker really wanted to find and kill Echizen Ryoma. Then, he had another thought.

Was it really just for revenge for being defeated by his father back in United States at the United Nations or there's more? Was my first theory wrong?

After having those things in his mind, he received a text message from Haibara Ai: Shinichi, the Black Organization learned of your existence in Tokyo. Leave Tokyo District Now!!!!

Actually, he thought about leaving and fearing for his life but he wanted to stay to protect a young child with a bright future ahead of him. Most of all, he wanted to know how the Black Organization know that he is in Tokyo. Haibara, forgive me... I have to stay in Tokyo to protect a young man... I have to learn who was behind of all of this!

The butler's phone suddenly rang with the song, "Nanatsu no Ko" or Seven Children shocking Shinichi Kudo. Before any detectives take on the ringing phone, he quickly took it and answered it. He went a little far away from the other detectives, investigating and had a close conversation to the man behind that phone call.

"Is this Kudo Shinichi?" the man with a deep voice asked.

"Are you a member of Black Organization?" he quickly asked.

"I am impressed that you remember the melody of my boss's ring tone. Sadly, you came upon our next target. The boss didn't know I used his ring tone but Gin-sama knows. You know him, right? He was the one I am following. I am more impressed that I'm seeing you in your real age. Meitantei Conan, it's really a good name that impresses me. Do all your job to protect Echizen Ryoma but if you move closer to him, I am telling you that one of you will surely die!"

"Why are you targeting a young man?! I promise, I will find you!" he screamed.

"Find me if you can, Meitantei!" then, he smirked.

The man behind that phone call finished the call and laughed evilly as he was now holding a Katana. After that call, he went to Seishun Gakuen and Hyotei Gakuen to tell them that Atobe Keigo's fine now and in good condition.

Echizen Ryoma smiled and told his team mates that they can finally practice without worries. So, Tezuka Kunimitsu allowed all of them to practice and announced that before the graduation, there is still another tournament they will need to win. It will be in Wimbledon and all chosen junior schools and highschools all over the world was invited to participate at that once in a lifetime experience. That day, Tezuka allowed a self practice. So, Momo and Echizen had their normal practice scenario inside the court.

"Which side?" asked Echizen.

"Rough," answered Momo but the racquet fell to smooth side.

"I win but I'll let you serve first, Momo-senpai!" Echizen said.

Momo went to his respective side and he quickly made a bullet serve but Ryoma quickly returned it back without sweating, making the ball unreturned by Momo because of the ball's speed.

"Momo-senpai, seems like you're serious quickly."

"Of course! If I don't take this duel seriously, I won't see if I finally improved myself! You're tough you know, so, give me all you've got!" he said.

"Mada mada dane, Momo-senpai!" he said after Momo served again.

A rally soon followed until Ryoma returned another bullet serve. The first game was first won by Echizen but the next game was won by Momo.

Both of them were in fire inside the court and after thirty minutes of an epic battle where Echizen's techniques and Momo's techniques were shown, it was still won by Echizen by 7 games to 5. Inui just finished writing and he was sound impressed as the freshmen trio were listening to him. Ryuzaki-sensei and Shinichi also listened to him.

"The Twist Serve, Jack Knife, Dunk Smash, Drive B and Cool Drive were sharper today than when they are at the Nationals. They've really trained themselves well," Inui said.

"I wish I can be like Echizen soon!" Kachiro said.

"Kachiro becoming a regular next year could be 50%."

"Really, Inui-senpai?" he asked.

Horio asked too. He smiled and told him, "The percentage you can be a regular next year is 15% if you keep getting better in serving, your percentage can increase," he told him and left.

The other two freshmen laughed at him. Echizen and Momo quickly went to the water station to drink and wash themselves when Ryuzaki-sensei approached Ryoma.

"What is it, Ryuzaki-sensei?" Echizen asked.

"After you change for your school uniform and go back home, stay here for a while. It seems like the police who attacked you and Sakuno before was the the same person that attacked Sakura-san yesterday."

"They'll be asking me questions, isn't it?" he asked.

"I don't know."

Momo was also reminded to go back home and not wait for him but the truth is, there are no police who will come around but only Kudo Shinichi.

He entered the locker room and stared at the waiting Freshman Regular. "I thought that there will be police asking me about things concerning the investigation."

"It's no doubt a High School Seigaku Student, Echizen Ryoma. I will really need to stay here until I ensure your safety and erase your name to the people who are also after me."

"People who are after you?"

"The attacker revealed himself to me that he is a member of Black Organization. An organization that might also have connections to the government and experimenting things out. I still have no idea why they are also after you, except if you saw one of their members doing a dangerous transaction."

"I may have, Shinichi-senpai. I saw long, silver haired man having an illegal transaction to a normal citizen at a dark alley as I was going home. They were passing strange pills to the curly haired man, calling it, 'APTX 4869.' After that, a young man holding a knife ran after me but a senpai protected me. It caused him his life, the attacker ran after me... then... Sakuno-chan protected me."

"It really is the Black Organization who is after you. I'll make sure that this fake student come out and leave you alone."

"So, you're saying.......?????"

"I was attacked, too before. You were lucky they did not use the drug to shrink your body."

"Shrink?" he was now confused.

"Yes, I return to my real age after I take a dosage of the prototype of the antidote of APTX 4869 but after a while, I return as Conan."

"Shinichi-senpai, I don't know what might happen to me but I am not afraid of them! If my life is in danger because of knowing their secret, I will help you defeat them!"

"No one but us should know about the Black Organization. I will find your assassin and make him spill everything he knows about it. Do you so swear?"

Echizen Ryoma lowered his cap and just told him as he was nearing the door, "Until my life is safe again. My job is to protect my friends, isn't it?"

Kudo smiled but when he saw a sniper getting ready to shoot Echizen at the next building near Seishun Gakuen, Kudo quickly covered for him after Ryoma opened the door.

The sniper shot Kudo straight at his chest, making him lose consciousness. The sniper, thinking he had killed Kudo Shinichi left with a big smirk at his lips. Luckily, the sniper did not shoot at his head. Echizen's worries that afternoon were all lost when he knew that Shinichi was wearing a bullet proof vest. He regained consciousness after a few hours in the clinic. They quickly left and Kudo escorted Echizen Ryoma home at the Temple.

"Why have you got back home at this late hour? Your parents are all worried for you!" Nanako said to him at the gate.

"I'm really sorry, I dragged him...," Shinichi said.

At the same time, Echizen Nanjiroh's looking at his son as he was playing with Karupin.

"Oh... ok! Thank you for escorting him!" Nanako blushed.

Nanjiroh spoke quickly before Ryoma enter their house. "Why are you with a highschool detective?"

Ryoma was surprised. "You know him, oyaji?"

"He's famous, Ryoma! He's always in the newspapers before until he suddenly disappeared."

Ryoma was taken aback. His sudden disappearance might mean that at those times, Kudo became an elementary child already. Even he really was surprised, he did not show it to them. Rinko came by to look after her son but then, Ryoma told them, "I'll skip dinner for today."

Echizen Nanjiroh lied his head at his two arms and asked his wife, "Did I say something wrong?"

Nanako and Rinko only sighed.
