Chapter 4: The King of Cows and The Masked Knight

Tsuki's POV
We are now sitting on a boat that doesn't have a lot of space, so right now I'm squished between, Sasuke and Naruto. Why are they so fat, I yell in my head. I could literally feel the daggers being shot at me by my sister, because I'm sitting next to her Sasuke-kun.

"Ugh, I hate sitting here" I sneer at the boys beside me.

"Hn, how do you think I feel" Sasuke sneers back at me.

"I don't know because you don't feel anything, you're such an emo duck ass" I whisper yell at him.

"Well you're an antisocial freak who reads 24/7" he insults me.

"So, at least I do something instead of glaring at nothing" I reply to his insult.

"Freak"

"Emo"

"Freak"

"EMO"

"FREAK"

"EMO!!!!" I shout.

"FREAK!!!" he yells.

We're literally inches apart, glaring at each other, still sitting next to each other. Our foreheads were placed against the other's.

"WOAH, ITS HUGE" Naruto shouts.

Sasuke and I break apart after realizing our closeness. I fake a cough, breaking the awkward tension. I feel heat cross my face in embarrassment, stupid, I scold myself. I look at my hands that are resting on my lap, and start to fiddle with my fingers. I could feel Sakura's glare intensify by my recent actions.

I ignore all the conversing happening around me as I play with my hands. How could I be so stupid, now she'll hate me even more, I thought with a saddened look on my face.

I stopped my train of thoughts when the boat came to a halt. I sighed and stood up, as Uchiha was getting out I couldn't help but smirk. As he stepped off the boat, I pushed him forward, he lost balance and fell face first on the docks. I got out and stepped over his body. I could hear the air around fill with Naruto's laughter.

"Nice one Tsuki, believe it" he says as he holds his sides in laughter.

"I know right, it seemed tempting so why not" I laughed along side Naruto.

I ignored the daggers that Sakura was shooting at me, it's not she's ever going to like me, so why should I try to make things better if if won't even make a change. When I walk over Sasuke, he tries to trip me with his hand, but I jump over it and turn.

"HA!!! Nice try, Uchiha" I say and walk away, next to Kakashi and the drunk.

We were all walking through the forest, enjoying the scene and the peaceful silence. It continued until a certain orange clad ninja threw a kunai.

"THERE" Naruto exclaims while throwing the weapon into the forest.

"Knock it off, Naruto" Sakura shouts as he slams her fist on his head.

"Naruto you shouldn't waste your weapons, you should conserve them for later" Kakashi says.

"WATCH IT!!! ARE YOU TRYING TO GIVE A HEAT ATTACK!!!" the drunk exclaims, shooting daggers at Naruto.

I can tell that Naruto simply ignored them and continues to walk ahead.

"Just a mouse" Naruto explains.

I see that everyone doesn't believe him, but I don't, I can feel someone watching me. Naruto runs ahead and throws a kunai into the bushes. I ignore as Naruto and my sister bicker at what he just did. Sakura stomps her way to the bush and gasps.

"Naruto!!! Look what you did" she screeches.

"I'm sorry Mr. Bunny" he says after running and grabbing the bunny out of Sakura's grasp.

It would've been normal, but the bunny is white, showing that it lacks sunlight. It was a substitution jutsu. So someone is here. I look up at my sensei and see that his eyes are narrowed directly at the rabbit. Suddenly, the wind current changed.

"GET DOWN/DUCK" Kakashi and I both yell simultaneously.

Everyone falls to floor as a gigantic blade comes crashing into a tree. Then as the sword gets stuck in the tree a man dressed in high waisted blue pants that has vertical lines running down, he has a black strap that holds his swords, he has a pair of cow leg warmers and arm warmers, his face is wrapped in white bandages, and  lastly he has his slashed Mist headband placed side ways on his forehead.

"Zabuza Momochi, a rogue ninja, also one the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist" Kakashi says.

A rogue ninja, and a famous swordsman, this just got a lot more complicated, I thought.

I take out my tanto blade from my backpack as Naruto runs out to attack. I ignore him and the rest of the team as I inch my way closer to the bridge builder. I stand listening to Sasuke teaches us a lesson about the Sharingan. I already knew what it was, I didn't study for no reason, I learned all the Doujutsu, Kekkei Genkei, and most of the Clans of the shinobi world.

I can feel the air tense as the two jounins stand ready to battle. I inch closer to the drunk, I need to protect him to complete this mission and I'm not letting some rogue ninja who's the king of cows attack him, he needs to go through me first.

I watch as the mist thickens, and my team rush to protect the builder. I narrow my eyes as I try to watch everything around me. Then I suddenly feel the air shift to my side. I rush behind the builder and raise my tanto blade. All I hear is the clash of metal crash into each other.

"You're not hurting him without going through me first" I say through my teeth.

I push my blade against his sword, making him step back slightly. I grit my teeth as he adds weight on his sword, pushing me back. I start to aim a kick, but Kakashi stabs Zabuza in the chest. Water drips instead of blood, as I watch the water clone disintegrate.

I watch as their lips move, I font listen to what they're saying, I'm too focused on the fight, analyzing their attacks and movements.

Huh, so this is how jounins fight in a battle, the intensity is too much, I think as I watch Zabuza kick Kakashi into the water.

"Shit" I mutter under my breath.

I watch as Zabuza rushes to the water, before stopping? He then flips to the water as he performs a jutsu.

"I'll just save you for last" I hear Zabuza mutter, before a sphere of water surrounds Kakashi.

"Damn it" I curse as I watch. I could've done something, but I was being stupid and just analyzing.

"Sensei!!!" Naruto and Sakura shout in worry.

I bite my lip as Zabuza makes a water clone to attack us.

"Guys run!! Leave and take the bridge builder, that's a water clone, it can't go a far distance" Kakashi yells as he's trap in the water prison.

"We're not leaving without you" Naruto yells back.

"Bridge builder?" Sasuke asks permission.

"Its my fault for not telling the truth, do whatever you can to save you sensei" he responds.

That's all I needed to hear, I say to myself.

I grip the tanto blade harder and get in a offensive position. I watch as his lips move underneath those bandages, but I don't listen to a word he says, all he's trying to do is scare us. I see Naruto make a run at him, but all it does is get him punched in the face.

No one hurts my comrades, no one, I seethe in anger.

I run at the man dressed in cow attire in speed, I ignore the shouts of my teammates and run forward. I aim a kick to his side, but he blocks it with his hand. I dodge the massive sword aiming towards my head. I can see that he's getting irritated that he can't hit me.

"Tsuki, what do you think you're doing" Sakura shouts in despair.

"Protecting my teammates and that bridge builder, I'm doing my job" I say without looking at her.

"But he'll kill you" she says. Thanks for the confidence boost, sister, I thought sarcastically.

"I don't care, I became a ninja, and if a ninja means sacrificing my life and protecting others, I'll gladly do it. I won't stand around like some useless cheerleader" I reply. This is for them, I'm just buying time.

I could feel eyes on me after my some what speech, but I ignore them, I need to focus on the enemy.

"Naruto, Sasuke come up with a plan. I'll distract him" I inform the knucklehead and ego filled jerk.

I run at Zabuza again, with my tanto raised up, I go and aim for the clones chest, but his sword stops mine. The clash of metal rings out through the air. I grit my teeth in anger and force my blade forward. I smirk at the slight distance I push him back.

"You're pretty strong for a girl who's weak" he says. Was that a compliment or an insult.

"Well, you're pretty weak to not be able to land a hit on me" I insult him and his ego.

I see as he glares at me when I finish my remark. That's one. I gotta make him angrier, ninjas get sloppier in their attacks if they let their emotions take over, I strategize in my head.

"Yeah and even worse I'm a gennin, who's a girl, and you didn't even hit me. You must be the weakest of all swordsman" I taunt.

I smirk at my progress, but that's cut short when I get punched in the stomach. I fly back at an immense speed and land, hitting a tree with my back. I groan as I'm filled with pain throughout my body. Damn, that hurt. I know I'm going to make it worse, but I have to say it.

"About time, you land a hit on me, it must've been too hard since you're too weak" I laugh.

I get up, but I'm too slow to dodge the hand coming for my throat. I gasp as the air is knocked out of my lungs, he raise me off the ground, tightening his hand around my neck.

"What did you say" he seethes in anger that someone called him out.

"I-I c-called y-you WEAK" I stutter out of breath, but yell at the end to insult him. Man, I going to die.

"Well say goodbye to your pathetic life as a ninja, since I'm going to kill you" he mutters so only I can hear.

My eyes widen as he brings down his sword, ready to kill me. I can't hear the shouts of my teammates, calling my name, as my ears ring blocking all noise.

Time seems to slow down as I'm about to die. Is this how I lived my life, being hated by my only family, losing all the love I was once given. Am I really going to die as the girl who was out casted by everyone. Am I really that useless to not even help my team, to protect them, I guess my parents were right, I really am a waste of space. No one cares for me, I'm just a nuisance, a failure, a nobody compared to my sister. She's always the perfect girl, pretty, smart, she has friends, a family that lives her, she has confidence, she follows what She loves and dreams for, she's the flower that blossomed while I was stuck being a bud that never bloomed.

The sword slices at my stomach, leaving a large cut, too big for anyone to heal. Blood seeps out my cut like a streaming waterfall, the clone drops me on the floor with a sickening thud. The world around me blurs as tears run down my pale face. I lay on the floor, next to my now broken glasses, as my body becomes numb and cold, as I lose another pint of blood. The ringing in my ears becomes louder, my vision becomes faded, my body goes cold and unable to move. I watch the trees as my vision becomes black and I lose consciousness.

This is the end, was my last thought.

Sakura's POV

I watched as my sister drops to the floor lifeless. Blood seeps through her cut, she can't survive that, no one can. Tears well up in my eyes as I stare at my sister. I feel my stomach twist and heart drop, what is this I'm feeling? Do I feel guilt for making her life miserable? I always used to tease her, taunt her, insult her, laugh at her misery, I watched as she became distant and pushed everyone away, I saw that she had no one to talk to, no friends, no family, was I that bad of a sister and for what. What did she ever do to me.

I really am a horrible person, especially a bad sister.

I look away from my now lifeless sister and look at the guys in front of me. I watch as Naruto and a bunch of his clones run at Zabuza and surround him. The victory ends shortly as Zabuza destroys all the clones and Naruto comes skidding back.

"Sasuke" Naruto shouts as he throws a shuriken at Sasuke.

I watch as my Sasuke-kun catches the shuriken, it's not a normal one it's demon wind shuriken, it's size is much larger than the regular one. He catches it and throws it, it aims toward Zabuza's clone, but for the real Zabuza. 

I watch as the shuriken gets caught, but a second shuriken appears and shoots towards him. I let out a gasp as I see him jump over the shuriken. I stand dumbfounded as I see Naruto appear from the shuriken and throw a kunai at Zabuza's hand. I cheer as I see him let go and released Kakashi sensei.

I stand and listen as Naruto explain the plan that he and Sasuke-kun made.

"It was just a coincidence" Sasuke says.

"It was just fluke" Tazuna explains.

You can say it was a fluke, but it was perfect teamwork. They didn't even have to say a word as it was all coordinated. They seem like they're always fighting, but still they make the perfect team.

(Because I'm too lazy to write the fight scene)

I watch as Zabuza crashes to the tree and stares at Kakashi.

"How? Could you see the future" he asks full of surprise.

"Yes, and this is your last fight" Sensei says as he takes out a kunai.

Kakashi was about to throw the kunai when two needles were thrown at Zabuza's neck, killing him instantly.

"You're right, it was his last fight. I'm grateful, I've been tracking him down for a long time for chance to finally kill him" a masked ninja says.

"A tracker ninja" Kakashi asks.

"That's right" the masked nin answers.

"Ah! A tracker" Naruto says.

"Naruto, you don't know what a tracker ninja is, try coming to class. A tracker ninja is a special type of ninja, they track their villages rogue ninja so they won't leak the villages secrets" I explain win my hands on my hips.

"Correct" Kakashi says.

Cha!! Of course I'm right, I'm always right, my inner cheers in my head.

"Who are you, who do think you are, huh? Hey!! Answer me" Naruto shouts at the masked nin.
"Naruto" sensei says placing a hand on Naruto's head.

"If you don't mind, I must take care of him" he says before disappearing in a bundle of leaves and reappears next to Zabuza.

"Thank you and farewell" he says before disappearing with Zabuza's body.

"Its not fair!!! He took him down so easily and we couldn't do anything!!! What are we doing here!!! And Tsuki, she got hurt trying to defeat him, I don't even know if she's alive or not" Naruto rants.

Cha!! He's so annoying, screaming like that it's making my head hurt!!!!, inner shouts.

And you're not, I reply before shutting her out.

"Naruto, in this world there are ninjas who are younger than you, yet stronger than me. And let's go check to see if Tsuki is alright" Kakashi says to Naruto before walking over to my sister.

I gulp in fear, not ready to hear if she's actually dead. We all walk behind Kakashi and watch as he checks her pulse. He places two fingers on her neck, moving them to find a pulse. I choke on my sobs as I wait for his answer, what's taking so long?

"S-sensei, i-is she a-alright" I say.

He turns to me and has a look of sadness and guilt in his eye. I feel my heart sink more that it already was, my vision blurs with my tears. Why did I have to be so horrible to her? She never did a thing to me, it was always me who hurt her? So why was I jealous of her? My sister, my twin, she's gone and I'll never tell how sorry I am.

"Sakura.......SAKURA!!!" I snap out of my thoughts.

"W-what" I say.

"She's alive, she has a faint pulse, but if we don't help her soon she'll die of blood loss" Kakashi explains.

She's alive?

"Okay, now, Sasuke carry Tsuki and everyone let's take Tazuna back to his home" he orders.

I feel a pang of jealousy when Sasuke picks Tsuki up and carries her. I grab her bag and stomp my way forward, seething in anger. I stop when I her a thump on the floor, I turn and see Kakashi unconscious. Naruto makes a clone a carries him. I guess he passed out from being tired.

I want to be nice to my sister, but I can't help glaring at her for being in Sasuke's arms. That should be me not her. Why does she get my Sasuke's attention. I ignore them and stomp forward.
