Chapter 14: Cerridwen

Tsuki's POV
I open my eyes only to find myself surrounded in a black abyss. I walked a few steps only to realize that I'm in a body of water, the silkiness of the liquid only made my body shiver.

Where am I?

I asked no one in particular. The pitch black corridor along with the dead silence only made things more eerie. I started to panic, scared of a place that I've never seen or been in. The silence is slowly killing me as the only noise I hear is the water sloshing around me as I move. But that soon ended.

A pillar of light startled me as it beams over like a spotlight. I stay still as other beams of light switch on making a trail for me to follow. As of no other way, I follow the lights which only lead me to a crystal black gate. The black pearl ascent gate was covered with vines and a variety of flowers making it seem enchanted. It was so beautiful, but the eerie silence made me suspicious of it's reality.

Why am I here?

'You're here because of me, dear Tsuki'

'Who are you' I asked.

'I'm Cerridwen, Goddess of the Moon, Dark Prophecy and the Underworld, I've been sealed inside you ever since your birth' the voice informs.

'So you know everything about me? So why now have you made an appearance for the first time in thirteen years?' I ask the goddess before me.

'I only showed myself now because when you come to know me, bad things will happen. Now that you've seen me your life will change drastically'

'What do you mean my life will change' I ask Cerridwen.

' The elders of this village will make everyone turn on you. They'll see you as a monster, a disease, someone who's not wanted'

'What!!! They can't do that! I haven't done a thing to them, why are they doing this?!'

' They see you as a burden, a threat, they think you'll bring danger to the village because of me'

'So they go and destroy my life because I'm a threat?'

'Unfortunately yes. I'm deeply sorry that you have to suffer even more because of me'

'Its not your fault, you had no choice of being sealed inside a child like me. So when will it happen'

'It'll happen in the near future when you least expect it'

'Thank you, for warning me'

'Its the least I can do. Now wake up, I left a surprise for you'

I wake up with a jolt, gasping as I'm out of breath. I look around and find myself in the hospital. I see the same boring white walls, the IV's connected to my arms, the flowers on the side table.

Wait!!! I could see? I COULD SEE!!! AND WITHOUT GLASSES?!

I laugh at the present Cerridwen left me. Who knew she would give me my vision. I move and sit up, but I get surprised even more. She didn't.

I smile at the second surprise She left me.

Even though she's the reason my life would change, i'm already liking her.

My arm.

She fixed my arm.

By now I'm on the verge of tears, happy to know that someone actually cares about me. The arm that Gaara broke all that time ago in the chunin exams, she healed it. I no longer have to use one handed jutsus. Even though it's impressive, it still required lots of work.

I'm wondering if she fixed my chakra system in my arm. Nah, that be too much. Or did she?

'Cerridwen did you fix my arm along with the chakra points that we're destroyed?'

'Yes, did you like my suprise'

'I didn't like it....I loved it!!! Thank you so much I appreciate it a lot'

' you're welcome. Now get ready, four chakra signatures are coming towards you'

'Do you know who?'

'No'

'Got it'

I got out of the bed after I ripped the IV from my arm and I stood in a defensive position, waiting for those four people. I narrowed my eyes on the door before me as it stayed closed. I could feel the suspense build as each second ticks away on the clock making it seem like forever. A gentle breeze from the opened window blows in the tense atmosphere around me as I wait for the people to arrive.

The door knob rattles, making me even more tense if that's possible. As the door opens it let's out a load creak making me cringe at the the poor maintenance of the door and it's hinges for not getting oiled enough. The door opens fully and I deadpan as I see my team standing in the doorway.

Naruto and Sakura gawk at me as they see me in a defensive position ready to throw an attack. Sasuke only stares at me with his usual stoic face and my perverted sensei only sweatdrops at my actions. I straighten out and stand normally as I usher them in.

"So what do you want" I ask, not really wanting them here.

"We were checking on you, believe it" Naruto says with his usual catch phrase.

"Why" I ask again.

"Well because you got hurt fighting Gaara and we wanted to see if you got any better. Considering that you got pretty hurt"

Hurt? I've been hurt my while life and you barely noticed now? That pain doesn't compare to the one I've endured long ago.

"Oh, that makes since. Sorry, I've been feeling a little out place, that's all" I say faking a smile.

If Cerridwen is right, that means I can't get close and trust them. I doubt she's wrong, she did say she was a goddess of dark prophecy.

"That's okay, Tsuki-chan, I forgive you" Naruto immediately says.

I'm sorry Naruto, if I wasn't so problematic at trusting others and if my life was better than what it really was, we could've been the bestest of friends.

My team and I talked for a while and I found out that Orochimaru killed the Third Hokage, that bastard. Then I found out that the Sound and Sand worked together to destroy the Leaf Village. Huh so I was right to be suspicious of the Sand. They also told me that the funeral was yesterday, so that means I missed it by being unconscious in this wretched place. I mean it's not all bad, the beds are pretty comfortable, but it's so boring. Anyways Naruto also told me that he's leaving later today to find some awesome lady who could heal people with his sensei that he calls 'Pervy Sage'. Well thanks for the great description Naruto. Once they told me everything, mostly being Naruto and Kaka-sensei were the ones who told me. The other two stayed quiet. Sasuke that was normal, but Sakura she likes to babble, so I found her being quiet, weird and out of character seeing how she's always squealing.

I narrowed my eyes at my sister, who purposely avoided looking at me that's when I knew something was up. I didn't push her, so I ignored her. I didn't want to know what she did or what she knew, I just left it alone not wanting to deal with her drama filled life.

They soon left much to my satisfaction. Its not like I hate them, I just don't like them being around knowing that they'll turn on me sooner or later. I could probably harden my hearts walls and keep my face emotionless, but if they do actually fall under the elders lies, it'll be like stabbing me right in the chest. So I'd rather be father from them than usual.

The question is,

What will I do?

Where will I go?

What will happen to me?

Those questions kept replaying through my mind. And still I couldn't come up with an answer to fill my hearts extent. So leaving them unanswered, I pushed them down into the back of my head. I got out of bed and changed into a pair of sweats and a long sleeved shirt they had in the closet in my room. After dressing I picked up my clothes and put them in a bag to carry. Later after picking up my room, yes I like to have places clean, I went down the hall to the receptionist desk and signed myself out.

Leaving the hospital, I finally noticed how everyone stares at me. To them I'm a disease they want to banish. So it wasn't because of me, but for the Goddess I'm hosting. Is this how they really looked at me my whole life? How could I be so blind? I looked at the so familiar ground that I grew accustomed to and walked, ignoring their stares.

Well that was until I was pushed down by a running villager. Or so I thought. I lied on the ground, looking up at the running person only to find a duck butt hairstyle. Sasuke? Why is he running? Is he looking for someone? I chose to ignore the brooding boy and got up from the floor and dusted dirt off my clothes.

I was about to walk until, I saw a flash of green on the corner of my eye. So I backed up and let the green beast run past me.

What's with everyone running?

Well, that soon applied to me as well because I went after them after dropping my bag of clothes seeing as it didn't matter. Up ahead I saw Guy sensei make a wrong turn. I don't know where he's going, but Sasuke's chakra is going straight. I followed after the Uchiha's chakra and ran after him. Why is it always him that we need to follow? Can't he keep a leveled head and not take things into his own hands? I followed my teammate's chakra signature into a neighboring village where people come to visits and have fun in.

Not so far I detected Naruto's chakra as well, it's faint, but I still felt it. Its not hard to find it seeing as the knuckleheads chakra is bright and warm with a hint of darkness. I also felt a great chakra signature next to him. Wait! It's two not one and they're both powerful.

What's going on?

And who are these two people?

I sped up my pace and headed towards Naruto, I totally ignored my Uchiha teammate and went passed him. I know I'm not suppose to get close to them, but I'm not letting someone as bright as Naruto get hurt by two potential enemies. He's too valuable to lose, even though we're not the closest pair, but still no ones hurting him today.

I led myself to a motel and ran past the receptionist and ran up the flight of stairs. I halted as soon as I made it to the second floor because I heard a foreign voice talking to Naruto.

"Now Naruto, why don't we take a walk" a husky voice instructed.

"Heh, Itachi, wouldn't it be better if I cut off a leg of his so he won't run away from us" another voice said.

I peered around the corner and saw two figures standing. They both had matching cloaks, black with red clouds decorating them. One of them is shorter than the other. While the other is at least a foot taller.

"Why don't you show yourself" the smaller one says.

What?! H-how? I lowered my chakra level!!!

I was about to step out of the shadows, that was until a hand gripped my shoulder. I looked back, startled by the sudden touch and I saw him.

Sasuke.

He glared at the men in the hall, showing no attention to me whatsoever.

"Sasuke, it's been a long time since I last saw you"

"Itachi. Uchiha" Sasuke says with hate as he seethes in anger.

"I-Itachi U-Uchiha" Naruto stutters at the bewilderment of Sasuke having a brother.

"Itachi, why does he look like you. I thought you killed all of your clan" asks the walking shark.

"He's my little brother" Itachi answers, "now show yourself, Tsuki, we know you're there" he finishes.

My eyes widen. He knew, then why didn't he attack me? Without choice I step out from behind the wall and stood beside the youngest Uchiha. I look ahead and notice the similarities between Sasuke and Itachi and to tell the truth they're both handsome, but I wouldn't date them. I see that the other guy is Kisame Hoshigaki, one of the Seven Swordsman of the Mist. I only know this because I've read multiple bingo books when I was younger. I studied their profiles and soaked their information like a sponge. Behind them I see Naruto shaking with little fear. I can't blame him, they are two S rank criminals, I would be afraid as well. Who am I kidding, I'm scared in this very moment.

"Ah, so she finally shows herself. Tell me, how's Cerridwen doing" Kisame asks.

My eyes widen, but they don't know that seeing as my bangs are shadowing my face.

How do they know her?

"H-how" I stutter, "how do you k-know her" I ask them.

"We know because our leader wants you, well he technically wants her. She's a Goddess with great power and he wants that power" Kisame explains.

"W-why" I ask the sharkman.

"To create peace" Itachi answers.

' Cerridwen what power do you have that they want'

' Little girl don't you know? I'm granted the power of the underworld, I'm able to summon demons and creatures that crawl though the depths of hell. I could see the future, a prophecy full of wrong and bad, I bring chaos to the earth. I'm death itself, bring death to everyone, but I'm also rebirth, bringing people back to life. That's my power and that power is always seeked by people so they can either cause destruction or peace'

'So having you sealed in me made me a target to people who want your power. I guess my life just got a lot harder '

'Yes I'm afraid so'

Great.

Should I consider their proposition and go with them? I mean everyone is going to turn their backs on me. Should I go with them now or should I wait until everyone betrays me to leave? As I think about this my face shows the conflict I'm having.

"Tsuki you can't go with them!!!" Naruto shouts with anger and hurt that I'm considering leaving with them.

"Naruto don't worry, I'm not leaving" I say.

If only you knew the truth.

"Sorry, but I won't be accepting your offer" I say as I secretly wink at them showing that I'm lying.

I see Kisame smirk at my sudden action. Out of no where I feel a surge of chakra besides me. My eyes widen and I step away from the chidori that Sasuke's forming in his hand.

"Itachi, I hope you're ready because after all these years of harboring my hate, so now DIE!!!" Sasuke yells.

He runs past me with chidori in hand and goes straight towards his brother planning to kill him. His chidori grazes the wall beside his making the drywall break in a line that follows Sasuke's movements. As Sasuke thrusts his hand to hit Itachi, his brother grabs his wrist and bends it back, breaking the bone. I wince at the crack that echoed around the room.

"Sasuke!!! Shadow clon- what?!" Naruto exclaims as his chakra disperses as Kisame swings his sword daring his chakra.

"Maybe we should cut your arms off so you don't try that again" Kisame says.

He swings his sword at a scared Naruto, but a clash of metal rings through the room as a cloud of smoke appears. Soon the cloud disappears revealing an orange red frog with armor, but as quick as he appeared he quickly left. Not a second later comes a weird tacking noise, music, showing a man with long spiky hair dressed in red and green, he has a red line dashing vertically across each cheek, and on his shoulder he's carrying a woman dressed in a skimpy purple dress who's currently unconscious. Jariyah, one of the Legendary Three Sannin. Or how Naruto calls Pervy sage I'm guessing.

"To aim so low and cast a Genjutsu on a innocent woman so I could get distracted. That's where you're wrong. I don't fall for women, women fall on their knees for me, as I'm the epitome of power. It is I, the sage of toads, Jariyah" he says as he does a weird pose.

I deadpan at hos stupidness, he's too much like Naruto.

"Pervy Sage! You liar one look from her and you turned to mush" Naruto argues.

"What did I tell you, don't call me that in front of others" Jariyah argues.

"No offence Lord Jariyah, we don't care what name you go by, but we need that boy" Kisame intrudes on their agreement.

"Huh, so you finally show yourselves, after so many years of hiding in the shadows. The Akatsuki, what's your goals with Naruto" Jariyah says.

"We have no intention of telling you our reasons, we only came for Naruto" Itachi says.

"Fight me!" Sasuke shouts at his brother.

"No, you don't interest me at the moment" Itachi says with his usual stoic attitude.

"Well get interested" Sasuke says running at Itachi.

Itachi stops his attack and knees him in the stomach. And punches him making Sasuke fly to the o the side of the hall way. I watch the fight between brothers feeling nothing. No remorse. No sympathy. No excitement. I feel nothing. I guess I've finally distanced myself far enough to feel nothing.

"I'll handle th-"

"No!!! Stay out of this" Sasuke shouts cutting Jariyah off.

So we all stand there watching as the oldest Uchiha beats his younger brother to a pulp. The only thing we hear are fists colliding on skin, the groans from Sasuke, and how his body hits the floor multiple times.

"You're still weak. You lack hatred and you know what? You always will" Itachi says before whispering into Sasuke's ear.

Not a second later Sasuke let's an ear piercing scream that makes everyone cringe except Itachi, Kisame and myself. With that he falls to the ground with his eyes open, dazed as he's wandering inside a Genjutsu.

"Sasuke!!" Naruto shouts as he runs towards the unconscious teen.

I watch as Kisame tries to attack the blonde, but he's stopped by the jutsu Jariyah casted. Not only is Kisame stuck, but so are the rest of us. In this moment I feel like barfing as I feel the flesh touch my skin.

"Heh, now you're stuck, behold, you're inside the belly of the mountain toad. Make one move and you're goners. Naruto stay still, trust in my jutsu" Jariyah says.

But the explanation only makes Kisame detach himself and run. He and Itachi run as they try to escape the wall of flesh that soon follows them.

"Its impossible, there's no way out no matter what you try" the Sannin informs.

But that information fall on deaf ears, because they keep trying to escape. They succeed because a los crash echoes in the hallway.

So they finally left.

Now the question is,

How long do I wait?

Okay to tell you I found the information on Cerridwen on Google. She's a re all goddess, but I made a few changes so it could fit the plot alright? So don't tell me I got her information wrong.
