KYLE'S POV

I heard what happened to Sassy yesterday. And I felt guilty because I wasn't there to protect her. I even lied to her. I didn't go anywhere in particular yesterday. I just wanted to have some time alone to think. My head was in turmoil this past few days. I can't think straight. I can't think of any way to help the twin reconcile. I can't take of any way to end the misery that Sassy is suffering from.

But with the chili powder incident yesterday, I guess I really have to do something before things get more severe and before Sassy could feel hatred towards her sister.

I have to talk to her. I have to stop her from making her sister pay for a sin that she didn't do. This should end already.

"Hey man. Are you still with us?"

My thoughts vanished in the air when I heard my twin brother clapped right in front of my face.

"Y-Yes? What are you saying?" I asked subconsciously

"I'm asking if you wanna join us. Sassy and I are hanging out after class hour" My brother Zeke invited me

I wanted to join them. It's been days since we hang out together. But I can't  go with them. I'm planning to talk to her this afternoon so I could try to melt that hatred that she has for her twin sister.

"I can't. I'm meeting someone"

I told him the truth for the reason that I am certain that he won't ask further qurstions about it. I don't want to lie anymore. I feel bad everytime I lie to any of them. That's why I badly want to end this mess. I don't want to be wedged in on the twin's issues in life. It sucks to be in the middle. It sucks to hell!

"How 'bout you, Ethan? Are you free this afternoon? Wanna come with us?" Zeke asked Ethan the same question

"Gustuhin ko man pero di pwede. Nakapangako na ako sa grandparents ko na bibisitahin ko sila this afternoon" Ethan declined too. And I could sense that there is also a glint of sadness in his voice not being able to hang out with Zeke and Sassy. We really value our friendship and its kinda frustrating to decline their invitation when deep inside us, we really wanted to say yes.

"I understand. Maybe you can just join us some other time" Yeah. That would be better. And when that time comes, I'll make sure that everything is already fine and in placed. That's the least I can do to help the twins get over with their misery.

"Yeah. Maybe next time"

I frowned when Sassy entered the room with an irritated face.

"Oh Sassy. Finally, you're here. What took you so long? I thought you'll just get something in your locker" Ethan asked who failed to see how irritated she is right now

What happened to her? Why does she have that look on her face early in the morning? Did something bad happened?

"Yun na nga ehh. Kukuhanin ko lang sana yung libro ko. Eh hindi ko naman akalain na pinamumugaran na pala ng ipis ang locker ko" I frowned at what Sassy have told us

"What?" We gasped in shock

Is that why she's in the bad mood? But seriously? How did it possibly happened? This university is free from any insect. They were taking good care of the health of every student, teacher and staff here.

"Teka. Ipis? Paano namang nagkaron ng ipis sa locker mo?" Ethan asked who's as clueless as I was

Is someone oppressing her? Was it intentional?

"I don't know. Maybe someone put it inside my locker" Sassy answered in a low voice and look down. Maybe she was trying to hide from us how pissed off she is to whoever did this thing to her. She can't even look us straight in the eyes.

"Do you have any idea who put it there?" I know she has someone in her mind to put the blame on this. She wouldn't said so that someone put the cockroaches in her locker intentionally if she doesn't have any suspect, if she wasn't thinking of someone in particular. So, I'm pretty much sure that there is.

"Wala namang ibang gagawa nito sakin kundi yung magpinsan" She answered with her eyes still fix on the floor

"Who?" My brother and I asked right away. We badly want to know who is behind this. How dare he/she messed up with our Sassy. No one could do this to her. She's very precious to us and we can't let this slide. Whoever did this has to pay the price it worth in giving Sassy such a pain in the ass.

"Its the Buenaflor cousins. They used to bully Sassy before. Pero tumigil na sila noon. And just so you know, the girl you confronted yesterday is a Buenaflor. Her name is Fiona. Fiona Buenaflor" Ethan was the one who answered. Well, they've been together since the second day of school. So, he must knew a lot about how Sassy has been treated in her very own school.

"I don't get it. Why would they do such thing to Sassy?" I inquired

It just doesn't make sense, you see. Let's assume that they are really guilty. But the question is, why did they do such thing? I'm pretty much sure that those Buenaflor cousins that Ethan is talking about has a reason for doing this to Sassy. I just can't think of any possible reason because Sassy is not someone who would create haters on her own. She's a simple girl who would act as if nothing happened even if someone did something bad to her just to avoid getting in any trouble.

Are they doing this because they have an issue with Sassy personally? Or they are just doing this out of someone's command? Whichever the two, still, they should stop what they are doing. They should stop by now.

"Its her ---" Ethan was about to answer my question when Sassy cut him off

"Ethan, that's enough. Let's stop this conversation. Wala ako sa mood. I'll just take a nap. Gisingin niyo na lang ako kapag dumating na si Ma'am"

But even though Sassy didn't let Ethan finish his sentence, I know exaclty what he's gonna say. I heard everything from Zeke last night. And when I arrived in school this morning, rumors are everywhere. Everyone in this campus pointed Cassy as the mastermind of the incident in the cafeteria. I even heard a rumor that says that Cassy is the one behind those Buenaflor cousins. I have just asked Sassy for confirmation. But it looks like she doesn't want us to know the truth. She still cares for her sister. Maybe that's the reason why she's doing the best she can to cover up what her sister did to her. She really is thoughtful. But enough is enough. Cassy is way out of the line. She's abusing Sassy's too much kindness. May be its about time to make her realize that what she is doing is irrational. Sassy is still her sister, her twin sister. And whatever their issue or misunderstanding, they should fix it at home and personally as a family. She shouldn't get someone involved in their family problem. She shouldn't use someone just to get bact her own Sister. But since she already did, then, I don't have a choice but to get myself involved just to put an end into this. I can't just watch how she made Sassy's life miserable. And besides, she's the reason why Sassy left my brother a year ago which I wouldn't allow to happen ever again. Sassy and Zeke deserved to be happy. She also deserved to be happy. And one way so everyone could be happy is to forgive and to forget. If she can't forgive, I'll teach her how. If she can't forget, I'll help her forget what had happened in the past. I'll be by her side whatever happens. I know she just needed someone who could understand her and make her feel that she's not alone. And I'll be honor if that someone would be me.
