'Last time on Twilight Sparkle: Ace Attorney

After Starlight was murdered Pinkie was pointed as the suspect because of a note and when this happened Twilight began her investigation in her home town Ponyville and asked every witness about their clues, she even went to meet with Ember who didn't want to work on the case for suspicious reasons but during her investigation she was met with Crackle who became rather protectful of her stuff, Twilight later met back with Pinkie and assigned herself as her lawyer and so the trial began with Twilight facing off against her best friend and now prosecutor enemy Rainbow through lot's of trials until the shocking events that Chrysalis was actually Crackle Cosette herself and during the trial it was revealed that she wiretapped and got room service from a certain someone, but who will that be, let's find out today

"Did you seriously get room service?!" Twilight asked in shock

"Yeah, Iced Coffee I believe it was? You know? Like normal coffee but COLD, if you don't drink it quick the ice melts and then you have... Regular cold coffee" Queen Chrysalis answered

"I-Iced coffee...?!" Twilight asked in shock and confusion

"Think I'm making this up? Ask the bellpony!" Queen Chrysalis suggested angrily

"Ergo, the witness was not on the scene at the time of the murder!" Rainbow explained

"!" Twilight gasped in shock and disbelief

"So, where does that leave us...?" Princess Celestia asked

"It is my great displeasure to inform you... That the witness appears to have been tapping the victim's telephone! However, that is a seperate crime with no bearing on the current case whatsoever! Her testimony stands! She saw the defendant Pinkie Pie commit murder!" Rainbow explained

No! They're going to let her just walk away! There's no way I can win this unless I tie miss Chrysalis to the murder somehow...

"Well, does the defense have anything to say?" Princess Celestia asked

"Um, well..." Twilight started

Come on, think of something!

"The defense would like to call the hotel bellpony as a witness! There's something suspicious there and I'm going to get to the bottom of it!" Twilight answered

"I think you've sunken quite low enough already" Queen Chrysalis said

"Objection!" Rainbow called out "I object to calling the bellpony!" Rainbow objects

"W-Why? What's your reason?" Twilight asked

"Because I hold that the wire tapping had nothing to do with the killing!" Rainbow answered

"...!" Twilight thought in shock

"However... If you agree to one condition, I'll consent to calling this witness" Rainbow suggested

"Condition...?" Twilight asked in confusion

"If Queen Chrysalis' alibi is not called into question after you examine the Bellpony... Then you will recognize that miss Chrysalis was not the killer thus she is innocent! Therefore you must accept the verdict of 'guilty' for miss Pinkie Pie! That is my condition" Rainbow suggested with a brave face

What...? I'd better find something suspicious in that Bellpony's testimony... Otherwise Pinkie will be declared 'guilty' on the spot! What should I do?

(After thinking for a moment Twilight realized she had no choice which made her nod in braveness)

Alright! I've got nothing to lose! Except for... Well, everything!

"Understood, I accept your condition" Twilight said

"Hmph, egghead... You fell right into my trap!" Rainbow said bravely

Uh oh!

"Uh... Um, wait..." Twilight started

"Very well! The court calls the hotel bellpony to the stand!" Princess Celestia announced

(Queen Chrysalis was then sent out of her chair and dragged out of the courtroom as she could be heard screaming while Gilda walked into the room before sitting on the chair)

"What?! Gilda?!" Rainbow gasped in shock before shaking her head "Ahem! Your name and occupation please!" Rainbow suggested

"I thought you knew me already Dash" Gilda reminded

"Name and occupation!" Rainbow ordered

"Okay, okay! I'm Gilda and I'm the bellpony of Hotel Harmony!" Gilda introduced

"Alright then, I believe we're ready for the witness to testify, she certainly looks like a good witness" Rainbow said

"Yes Dash, I received your summons in the middle of work, I'm happy to be of service" Gilda said happily

"That tea set looks rather heavy so without further to do the witness may begin her testimony" Princess Celestia suggested

"Very good your honor!" Gilda said

Witness Testimony

--Miss Chrysalis' Room Service--

"I am the hotel bellpony at the fine Harmony Hotel, in business for 4 months!"

"I believe I recieved a call after 8:00 in the evening from our guest miss Cosette"

"She asked for an Iced Coffee to be brought to her at 9:00 on the dot"

"I brought it to her at precisely the requested time of course"

"And I delivered the Iced Coffee to our guest miss Cosette herself"

"I see, the defense may begin its cross-examination" Princess Celestia suggested

"R-Right, I'm ready" Twilight said worriedly

I hope... This is it... If I can't prove miss Chrysalis was involved with the murder now... Pinkie will be finished!

"What exactly is it you do at the hotel?" Twilight asked

"Why, anything required of me sir, I check in on guests, I clean rooms, I make beds, I even deliver room service princess, I checked miss Cosette in personally" Gilda answered

"Are you always so... So prim?" Twilight asked

"Mrs. Twilight, you will refrain from asking frivolous questions" Princess Celestia reminded

"Oops, sorry" Twilight apologized before turning back to Gilda "Are you sure it was miss Cosette on the phone?" Twilight asked

"Absolutely princess" Gilda answered

"H-How can you be so certain?" Twilight asked

"I checked miss Cosette in personally sir, not only did I see her in all her stunning radiance but I also heard her voice and then I saw THEM and I... Ahem, er... Ahem! The point being, I remembered her quite well" Gilda answered

"If I remember correctly you said 9:00 on the dot, correct?" Twilight asked

"Yes I confirmed that detail several times, she was watching a program on the TV and wished to drink after she finished" Gilda answered

9:00... The time of the murder!

"Precisely 9:00 then?" Twilight asked

"Precisely, exactly and most certainly princess, 9:00 PM" Gilda answered

"How can you be so sure?!" Twilight asked

"Miss Cosette was quite insistent that it be brought then, 'Oh Bellpony?' Then came the giggle and then she said 'I'd like, like, Ice Coffee at exactly 9:00' something like that, therefore I knocked on her door at the crack of 9:00" Gilda explained

Why would she be so particular about the time?

"You are sure it was miss Crackle Cosette herself?" Twilight asked

"Ab-SO-lutely" Gilda answered

"'Ab-SO-lutely'...?" Twilight asked in confusion

"Yes, as in 'so very absolutely', it's an endearing mannerism of mine" Gilda explained

"How come you're so very certain?" Twilight asked

"Well, when I brought the room service... S-She... The guest favored me w-with a, um, an 'embrasser'" Gilda explained

"Embrasser?! Is that french for 'embrace'?" Twilight asked

"It's french for 'kiss' Twilight but not a french kiss! More of a peck on the cheek" Gilda explained

"Wh-Why would she have done that...?" Twilight asked

"I believe perhaps she was momentarily swayed by my prim demeanor, it was a moment I shall never, ever forget" Gilda answered

Sounds pretty fishy to me... I think our miss Chrysalis was up to something and wanted the bellpony to remember her!

(Afterwards Twilight realized she hadn't objected the witness which made her very worried and shocked)

"It's no good!" Twilight called out in worry

There's nothing there! Is... Is that it?!

"Tsk, tsk, finally you understand, the bellpony has absolutely no reason to lie! Now... If you have any decency, you will end this rather tedious cross examination here" Rainbow suggested

"Hmm, it was a bit tedious, the witness may leave the stand" Princess Celestia suggested

I can't let this happen... Can I?

"W-Wait! Please wait!" Twilight ordered

"Yes? Does the defense have something to add?" Princess Celestia asked

"One last question... Let me ask one last question!" Twilight suggested

"Objection!" Rainbow called out "Your honor, I must object, this charade of justice has gone on long enough!" Rainbow reminded

"Now, now, Mrs. Dash" Princess Celestia said calming Rainbow down "Alright, mrs. Sparkle, I'll give you one more question, that's all" Princess Celestia said

Okay, this is really it now, this is my last chance! What do I ask him about...?!

"Tell me about the check in! Tell me about when you checked-in miss Cosette" Twilight suggested

"Oh alright, very well, my first thought was she was a beautiful pony she's just my type of mare so it was disapppointment really" Gilda answered

"I see...? Excuse me... What exactly was a 'disappointment'?" Twilight asked

"Well, I am not without charm but even I'd have little chance with her lover there" Gilda answered

...! What did he say?!

"What did you say?!" Twilight asked in shock

"Ah! Oh... Er... Rather, quite...!" Gilda started nervously

"Gilda! Tell us the truth now... Did miss Cosette check in with another pony?" Twilight answered

"Objection!" Rainbow called out before stuttering a bit "I object! That was... Objectionable!" Rainbow stuttered nervously

"...Overruled, the witness will answer the question" Princess Celestia ordered

"Er... Yes, I see!" Gilda answered nervously

"Why did you not mention this in your testimony?!" Twilight asked

"W-Well miss, you er... You didn't ask!" Gilda answered worriedly

Nice try!

"That's the sort of thing you're normally supposed to mention!" Twilight reminded

"Ah yes, quite, indeed... It was the, er, good barrister there Rainbow who..." Gilda started

"!" Twilight gasped in shock

"She asked me not to mention it if I wasn't specifically asked miss" Gilda finished

"Oof! Y-You fool!" Rainbow called out in anger

"I've done it... I won..." Twilight whispered excitedly while looking away before turning back to Gilda "Miss Crackle Cosette checked into a twin room... With a man, correct?" Twilight asked

"Yes miss" Gilda answzered

"Then, when you brought them room service you didn't see that man in the room...?" Twilight asked

"That's right miss" Gilda answered

"Hmm..." Princess Celestia thought

"Your honor! We have just learned of another person involved who may have been the murderer! In this new light I hold that it's impossible to judge the defendant, you agree mrs. Dash?" Twilight asked

"Who! Who is this 'other person'?!" Rainbow asked angrily

"Simple, it was the man who who checked in with miss Cosette!" Twilight answered

"Oof!" Rainbow called out in defeat

"Your honor! As has previously revealed, miss Crackle Crosette aka Queen Chrysalis was tapping the victim's phone, yet miss Crosette herself has an alibi at the time of the murder however that does not clear the man that was with her! The bellgirl saw nopony else in the room at the time of the murder!!!" Twilight announced in braveness

"M-My, what a convenient little setup... But it's too late..." Rainbow said in disbelief

"'Too late'? I suppose you'd like it if it was too late wouldn't you... After all it was you who hid the presence of this other pony from this court!" Twilight reminded

"Oof! Upstart... Amateur...! T-These accusations are... Ludicrous!" Rainbow reminded angrily

"Enough!" Princess Celestia ordered as Twilight and Rainbow turned to her nervously "The court acknowledges the defense's argument, I expect the prosecution and defense to look into this matter fully! Am I understood?" Princess Celestia asked

"Yes... Yes your honor" Rainbow answered in defeat

"That is all for the trial of mrs. Pinkie Pie, court is adjourned!" Princess Celestia announced

(Princess Celestia then slammed her gavel and when she did everypony exited the courtroom and went back to their respective lobbies)

September 7, 2:24 PM

District Court

Defendant Lobby No. 1

(Soon Twilight had arrived back at her lobby as Pinkie quickly ran to her in excitement before she stopped right in front of her excitedly)

"Twilight! You were amazing in there! You were like 'I will bring justice to whoever killed Starlight'!" Pinkie said excitedly

"R-Really?" Twilight asked

"Of course and I think I might be your newest fan!" Pinkie answered excitedly

"Oh I was just 'doing my job you know... Heh heh" Twilight said in embarrassment

"Then again Dashie was pretty cool in there too except she was against me!" Pinkie said in both excitement and happiness

"Huh?" Twilight asked in confusion

"That face of hers! With her eyes wide and trembling lips! It send shivers up my spine!" Pinkie explained excitedly

"Hmm... If you say so" Twilight said

"So what happens with me? Do I get to go home now?" Pinkie asked

"Well, no, I don't think so, not yet" Twilight answered sadly

"Oh... I see" Pinkie said sadly

"But hey, I got a great lead in today's trial!" Twilight answered happily

"A 'lead'?" Pinkie asked in confusion

"That pony with Miss Chrysalis! He's the key!" Twilight answered

"Oh! I get it, what happened to miss Chrysalis after that anyway?" Pinkie asked

"I heard they arrested her, I guess she's learning her leadership role won't work anymore! She's probably at the detention center now, I may have to go down there later, anyway, this case is far from closed" Twilight explained

"Yes ma'am!" Pinkie said while putting a hoof on her head

"I'm going to find out more about this man" Twilight suggested

"Do you think he was the one who...?" Pinkie asked worriedly

"Maybe so" Twilight answered

"Starly..." Pinkie said sadly

"Don't worry, I'll find him by tomorrow, I pinkie promise, cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye!" Twilight promised

"I'm counting on you!" Pinkie said happily

(Afterwards Pinkie whistled for the police to come and drag her away as she gave one last wave to Twilight as she left while Twilight began walking for a bit)

I asked for a full record of Queen Chrysalis' testimony, I thought it might come in handy during the trial tomorrow but now that I have it I'm not so sure, most of her testimony was all lies... In fact, there's only one part that got left on the report, I don't know how much this will do me at all now, anyway, time to hit the pavement and do some investigating! Pinkie doesn't belong in that detention center and it's up to me to get her free!

Detention Center

Visitor's Room

(A little while later Twilight had arrived at Queen Chrysalis' part of the detention center as she began looking at an angry Chrysalis who had gotten her crown removed and had a spell blocker ring on her horn)

"Well, look who we have here! I didn't expect anyone to visit me in such a dank place as this... It's really quite... Moving, not! You stinking lawyer! I hope you die! Have you come to laugh? Yes, laugh at the fallen Queen Chrysalis!" Queen Chrysalis said angrily

"No, not really, there's something I wanted to ask" Twilight explained

"Unfortunately there is nothing I want to BE asked about, haven't you done enough questioning you dumb ass?!" Queen Chrysalis asked angrily

Here we go again...

"Please, you're scaring the security guard" Twilight pleaded worriedly

Queen Chrysalis then looked behind her and saw a security guard shivering which made her shrug before turning back to her

"...So? What is it you wish to ask of me then? Hmm?" Queen Chrysalis asked

For starters how did you get to be so totally whacked?!

"First of all about the man who stayed with you in your hotel room...?" Twilight asked

"..." Queen Chrysalis thought while glaring

"Can you tell me about him? Where he is? C'mon..." Twilight asked

"No way jose" Queen Chrysalis answered angrily

Hmm... Maybe if I had something to get her to talk...

"Why did you place a wiretap on Starlight's phone?" Twilight asked

"Aww, when you say it like that it sounds so... Cold, so criminal!" Queen Chrysalis reminded angrily

"Um... Tapping people's phones is a crime miss Chrysalis, not that you'd care" Twilight reminded angrily

"Oh and I suppose you learned that in lawyer school hmm? Creep!" Queen Chrysalis called out angrily

This woman is impossible to talk to...

"Say... Why are you so... Mean to everyone here? I mean you do look like a villain but deep down I know you're kind" Twilight asked worriedly

"Ooh, that does it! Bottom-feeding, scum-sucking lawyer!" Queen Chrysalis said angrily

"B-Bottom...?" Twilight asked in worry and shock

I can't tell, does she have a thing against lawyers... Or just against me?

"Hey, guess what, actually, I, um, really hate your guts so get lost because well, I'm not cooperating" Queen Chrysalis said angrily

(Twilight then trotted off to her castle to the secret library she has)

"Looks like forensics is taking the day off today, detective Stygian's nowhere in sight, the police really gave this place a work over, I doubt there are any valuable clues left, suppose it can't hurt to take a look around though" Twilight thought out loud

(Twilight then picked out some files she and Starlight had as she read through them to look for clues)

"You couldn't cram more legal books in here even if you wanted to, all the cases that Starlight had worked on are filed in here" Twilight whispered before she noticed some files were missing "Hmm, are some of the files missing...? Nah, I'm just imagining things" Twillight said with a shake of her head

Anyways, I didn't find anything here, maybe I should look elsewhere

The Dragonlands

Ember's Lawyer Office

Huh, looks like Ember is out today... Again, maybe he's avoiding me for some reason

(Just then Twilight noticed the painting on the wall was gone)

"Wait a second... Wasn't there a giant painting hanging on that wall...? Yeah... Yeah, it was a painting of Las Pegasus wasn't there? It wasn't a very memorable painting anyway" Twilight thought

(Twilight then turned to the photographs on Ember's desk in confusion)

"What's this? Old photos? There are two lying here, something's been written in pencil on the backs 'DL-6 incident - Exhibit A,' 'DL-6 Incident - Exhibit B'... Let's take a look at these" Twilight suggested before checking the first picture which showed Ember with Gladmane "Why would Ember have a picture of this pony...? This might be a valuable clue... I'll take it for now, I'm just borrowing it, I'll return it later" Twilight whispered

(Twilight then grabbed the photo she saw in Ember's office before she flew out of the office)

Visitor's Room

(Twilight soon arrived back at the detention center and when she did Queen Chrysalis could only groan in disbelief)

"You again?! Can't you take a hint and stay gone?" Queen Chrysalis asked angrily

"Hey, the only reason I'm back here is because YOU won't talk to me!" Twilight reminded angrily

"Oh so it's MY fault now? You don't just have wings and a horn, you also have a strong ego!" Queen Chrysalis reminded angrily

That does it, when this case is done I'm gonna give Queen Chrysalis the death penalty!

"Let's try it again, about the man who stayed with you in your hotel room... Can you tell me about him? Where is he?" Twilight asked

"I'm not telling!" Queen Crysalis reminded angrily

"Look, he's being accused of murder! I don't think you want to be protecting him" Twilight reminded

"Hmm, would you have sold out the late mrs. Glimmer to the police?" Queen Chrysalis asked

"No" Twilight answered

"See" Queen Chrysalis reminded

Damn! Hmm... Maybe if I had something to get her to talk

"Any thoughts about this photograph?" Twilight asked showing the first photo

"Who's that? Your mother?" Queen Chrysalis asked

(Twilight then gave a sigh of disbelief)

Looks like I've just been wasting my time

"What about this one?" Twilight asked

Queen Chrysalis then turned away for a moment

"Look, I've said several times, I'm not telling you...!" Queen Chrysalis reminded before she noticed the picture "Ack! Where did you...?" Queen Chrysalis asked in shock and disbelief

Ah hah! A reaction!

"This is him, isn't it?" Twilight asked

"What? Who? When? Why...?" Queen Chrysalis asked worriedly

"It IS him, this is the man who stayed in your hotel room the night of the murder!" Twilight realized

"No! No, that's not right" Queen Chrysalis said worriedly

Nice try miss cooperative

"D-Do you have proof that was him? Hmm? Y-Yeah! Proof! Show me proof!" Queen Chrysalis ordered

I'm so close! 

"Hold on, let me check for a moment where more clues like these are" Twilight suggested

(Twilight then galloped out of the detention center)

Harmony Hotel

Room 303

(Twilight then quickly ran back to the hotel room she knew Queen Chrysalis stayed at before she bursts in only to see Gilda there in the midst of cleaning)

"Ah, welcome princess! Quite the performance today if I dare say so myself" Gilda complimented

"Oh, um, thanks, sorry for putting you on the spot like that though" Twilight apologized

"No, no, not at all Twilight! Your efforts today can only help the Harmony's 'rep' as they say" Gilda explained

"Huh? Rep?" Twilight asked

"Yes! Our business will swell as the hotel where the murderer used a wiretap! We can charge a premium for the room of course, it will be great for business!" Gilda explained exictedly

"Whoa, whoa! Miss Crosette hasn't been charged with murder" Twilight reminded

"I too will become famous! 'The bellgirl who brought the murderer Iced Coffee'...!" Gilda said in awe, not listening to Twilight

Why do I have a feeling we're both stuck in the same bad dream...

"So! You are a honored guest, please let me know if there is anything I can bring you!" Gilda suggested

"So about miss Crosette..." Twilight asked

"Oh her? Twilight, not to boast but I knew the moment I saw her... 'She'd do it!' I said!" Gilda explained

Do WHAT? I'm starting to think the most suspicious person here is this guy!

"I wanted to ask you about the man who was with miss Crosette..." Twilight asked

"Ah yes... He struck me as a real 'lady killer', if you'll pardon the expression, I knew it from the moment I saw him, he and I are of the same ilk, we both carry the scent of... Danger" Gilda explained

There we are in total agreement mrs. Psycho Bellgirl

"If you had a photo of that man I'm quite sure I could identify him" Gilda explained

A photo, hmm...

"Before I show you, could you tell me about this hotel?" Twilight asked

"Absolutely and on the subject I have an excellent idea! Currently this hotel is known as the 'Harmony' Hotel but I propose that we add a subtitle!" Gilda suggested

"A subtitle?" Twilight asked in confusion

"The Harmony Hotel: Murder Manor" Gilda suggested before turning to Twilight "Well? What do you think?" Gilda asked

"Um... Sounds great!" Twilight lied

Whatever floats your tea set...

"Take a look at this photo" Twilight suggested showing the photo to Gilda "Is this the guy she was with?" Twilight asked

"...That's him detective" Gilda answered

"Um... I'm the lawyer" Twilight corrected

"Oh, I know that! I just wanted to say 'Detective' Once, you know how it is?" Gilda asked

No, no I don't

"Without a doubt that is the man who checked in with miss Chrysalis, how about I write an affidavit swearing that that's him!" Gilda suggested

"An affidavit?" Twilight asked in shock and disbelief

This guy is way too excited about this...

"Well, sure why not" Twilight lied

"Yes! I've always wanted to write an affidavit Twilight, from hence forth, I will be known as the 'Bellgirl who swore the affidavit'!" Gilda said excitedly

"Just hurry up and write it before I change my mind!" Twilight suggested

(Gilda then quickly wrote it before giving the affidavit to Twilight who teleported it away)

Not even miss Chrysalis can play dumb to this!

(Twilight then trotted out of the hotel once more)

(Twilight then went back to the dragonlands to Ember's workplace only to see her gone which made her sigh in defeat)

He's out again?

(Twilight then went to the desk only to see the second picture had gone missing)

Huh? There's no more photos on the desk...

(Thinking it is weird Twilight rushed out of the office)

Visitor's Room

(Soon Twilight got back to the visitor's room where Queen Chrysalis could only watch in worry)

"Could you have a look at this?" Twilight asked

(Twilight then pulled out Gilda's affidavit which made Chrysalis look at her in confusion)

"What's that?" Queen Chrysalis asked in confusion

"The bellboy's affidavit! He told us everything he saw, he told us about the man you checked in with, he told us who he was" Twilight explained

"...!" Queen Chrysalis gasped in shock as green tears came out of her eyes

Now I'm getting somewhere!

(Noticing Queen Chrysalis looked a bit sad Twilight got a bit worried

Okay, okay... She's vulnerable now, I should be gentle for once to a villain

"Miss Chrysalis... It would be easy for me to hand this affidavit to the police" Twilight explained

"..." Queen Chrysalis gasped in worry and sadness

"But if they get involved wouldn't your boss be even more... Er... Inconvenienced?" Twilight asked as Queen Chrysalis nodded worriedly "All I want to do is have a little chat with him, you won't tell me, correct?" Twilight asked

"...Is that all you have to say?" Queen Chrysalis asked

"Yes" Twilight answered

But if it's so easy for you to 'Get the police involved' then why don't you? Somehow I think you're not up for it, hmm? Being a princess and all?" Queen Chrysalis asked

Show them a little kindness and they jump all over you! That had the opposite effect to what I hoped...

(Just then Queen Chrysalis gripped the affidavit out of Twilight's hand and threw it in the trash can while looking at her as it landed easily)

"Aww" Queen Chrysalis said wiping her tears away while smirking "Poor little princess... And you were so close!" Queen Chrysalis said with an evil grin

This isn't working... I think I've worn out this piece of paper's usefulness

"Dammit!" Twilight called out in defeat

The man in this photo is the one I want! Why did Queen Chrysalis not want to talk about it... She must know him!

(Twilight then rushed out of the detention center, angry at what Queen Chrysalis did as she thought of a backup plan to use)

Alright, this is getting ridiculous, where the heck is that loafer?!

(Just then another loud clearing of the throat was heard)

Ah, that old familiar clearing of the throat

"Ah hah! You again!" Ember said happily

"Um, hello Ember" Twilight greeted nervously

"...Well, well, you were quite the thing princess" Ember said in awe and happiness

"Excuse me...?" Twilight asked in confusion

"The trial! The trial!" Ember reminded

"She was there...?" Twilight asked

"Reminded me of myself when I was just starting out as a lawyer!" Ember said in awe

"That man is mr. Gladmane, he's the manager of Las Pegasus" Ember explained

Gladmane... Hmm... I must have heard something about him from Fluttershy and Applejack didn't I?

"They're information pros too, they sell information you see, sensitive information, despite his name mr. Gladmane has the blackest reputation of anypony in Las Pegasus, should you run across him watch what you say, you wouldn't want him digging up any dirt on you" Ember suggested

Hmm... Selling information, sounds like blackmail to me

"Can you tell me where Las Pegasus is located?" Twilight asked

"Hmm... I suppose" Ember answered

Mr. Gladmane, at last! Finally, a lead on this guy! Even if Queen Chrysalis couldn't have done it he could have! Time to take action!

Manager Office

(After a little while of flying Twilight arrived at Las Pegasus as she went inside the manager's office which looked brighter)

Guess Gladmane turned the lights on unlike that time Applejack and Fluttershy defeated him and wow! What's with the surreal decor...?

"Welcome! Please furnish me with the title of your personage!" Somepony suggested

(Twilight then turned around and noticed Gladmane standing at the doorway as he turned to Twilight with a devious smirk)

"Your name! What's your name? I was just inquirably asking the title that you go by" Gladmane suggested

"Uh... Twilight, Twilight Sparkle" Twilight introduced nervously

"Ms. Sparkle is it? Right, I see... Splendid! Perhaps I intimitated you with my giantesque vocabulary...!" Gladmane said in happiness

(Gladmane then began trotting over to his desk)

"I'm Gladmane, manager of Las Pegasus, born for the second time in this land, you know, the Las Pegasus Amusement Park? My business dealings bring me into contract with the elite of the elite so I'm afraid I am not used to conversing with the wordily-challenged" Gladmane explained

(Twilight then began looking around until she turned to the painting of two dragons in an attraction in Las Pegasus)

"Ridiculous! I have no interest in anything but originals, that right there is a bona fide original! Worth five million for sure" Gladmane explained

"Hmmm..." Twilight thought

(Twilight then turned to a statue on the ground at the doorway which had someponyy hold a cloud with the Las Pegasus building with it's name on it)

"A statue of a pony holding up a cloud, the 'Las Pegasus' sign certainly stands out enough... The modle for the pony is of course mr. Gladmane" Twilight thought out loud

"Truly a work of art! But probably too beautiful for you to appreciate, correct?" Gladmane asked

I think it's a little too beautiful for just about anypony to appreciate

(Twilight then turned back to Gladmane as she pulled out the wiretap)

"About this wiretap..." Twilight started

"Ah, the one that miss Cosette used right? Bad girl, bad, bad girl" Gladmane said in disbelief

"She testified that she placed the wiretap at your request" Twilight explained

"How pathetic, I guess she's trying to pass the buck, bad, bad girl, sorry I can't help you, I know nothing" Gladmane apologized

I'm going to need hard evidence to get anything out of this guy...

"Miss Chrysalis was an employee of the Las Pegasus Attraction Park, was she not?" Twilight asked

"Correct, she as Mrs. Cosette was my secretariat, what a shock it was to hear what she has done and that she was actually Chrysalis!" Gladmane said sadly

"'What she has done'... You mean the wiretap?" Twilight asked

"Indeed! She is paid to answer phones, tapping them is NOT in her job description, she does gather information for us as part of her duties but I assure you we do not condone illegal methods! It is ineffable that she would do this" Gladmane explained

It sounds like he's trying to turn miss Chrysalis into a scapegoat...

"On the night of the murder were you in miss Chrysalis' room?" Twilight asked

"Who can say? I seldom pay attention to mundane details such as time and place, my motto is: 'Don't worry, be happy'" Gladmane explained

"Still mr. Gladmane... The hotel bellgirl Gilda has stated on the record that he does remember you very clearly" Twilight reminded

"No matter! The bellgirl can say what he pleases, I still won't talk to you, if you want me to speak put me on the witness stand! Although I doubt you'd be capable of doing that" Gladmane reminded

Hmm, he raises a good question actually... Why didn't the prosecution call him as a witness? He should have 'seen' the same thing as miss Queen Chrysalis

"Oh hoh hoh, the police... The courts... to me they are mere toys, playthings for my amusement!" Gladmane said laughing a bit

(After saying that Twilight made a frown in confusion before she shook it off)

"What kind of company is Las Pegasus anyway?" Twilight asked

"Ah, excellent question! We make other ponies have fun in attractions, we are a company of the future! you might say we ARE the future!" Gladmane explained

Fun... In atttractions? Why do I have a feeling he's lying

"A 100 moons ago, my ancestor build this business for ponies to begin their attractions and I got this grand office you see now, ah, in case you were wondering, Las Pegasus was named after the pegasi from long ago! The ansestor of I Gladmane of the Las Pegasus Attraction Park named it so! And why you ask? Because I like the color blue of course! What did you think of that story?!" Gladmane asked

I have very big doubts it's your ancestor who created this place, I mean I didn't hear anything about an ancestor in my life up until now

"That big painting on the wall over there" Twilight answered

"What about that?" Gladmane asked

"When did you get that painting?" Twilight asked

"...Hmm... No idea! I forgot!" Gladmane answered

"I've seen that before, yesterday in fact, why do I find that painting here today?" Twilight asked

"... Ms. Failure was it?" Gladmane asked in irritation

"Sparkle" Twilight corrected

"It appears you do not fully grasp your position here, I ask again, why are you?" Gladmane asked strictly

(After saying that Gladmane approached Twilight before buck her sending her flying to the other side of the room as she grunted a bit in pain

W-What?! He... He bucked me!

"Well ms. Lawyer, what will you do now? Charge me with assault? Charge away, I welcome it for it is YOU who will be found guilty!" Gladmane reminded

"What..?" Twilight gasped in shock and worry

"Heed my exposition ms. Sparkle! The police, the courts, they all do my bidding" Gladmane reminded

So you say... But I wonder... Is that kind of control really possible?

"I didn't expect you to understand, it is a world beyond your compensation... You came from Emery, I persume?" Gladmane asked

"Ms. Ember... Yes" Twilight answered
