Last time on Twilight Sparkle: Ace Attorney...:

After the trial Twilight and Pinkie continued their investigation where they found more clues alongside the now revealed drugged cupcake and the picture of five years ago which Twilight used against Ahuizotl only to get into trouble which Stygian soon saved the two out of and the next day during the trial Twilight won against Ahuizotl but it seemed like it was not over yet, why not you may ask, let's find out now

(After the recent events everybody was silent until Twilight broke it)

"Umm... So... What happens next?" Twilight asked

"?" Ahuizotl grunted

"Don't grunt at me! Don't you have anything to say?!" Twilight asked angrily

"What would you like me to say?" Ahuizotl asked

"Huh? 'I lost'? Something like that?" Twilight asked

"I just said that" Ahuizotl corrected

"W-Wait, so you mean..." Twilight started before she realized what he meant "Ahuizotl! So it was you? You killed Groom Q. Q. Martingale!..." Twilight realized in shock and disbelief

"..." Rainbow thought

"..." Princess Celestia thought

"Who can say" Ahuizotl said

"Huh?" Twilight asked in shock and confusion

"Are you sure I did? Ms. Sparkle... We just engaged in a battle of wits and the result of that battle? You proved the possibility that I murdered Martingale" Ahuizotl reminded

"R-Right!" Twilight realized

"But... That is only a possibility, proof is another thing all together, you lack decisive proof ms. Sparkle" Ahuizotl reminded

"Wha... Wha... Wha... Wha... WHAAAAAAAAAT?!" Twilight gasped in shock and disbelief

(Afterwards ponies began making sounds of shock and disbelief until Princess Celestia slammed her gavel once more)

"Order!" Princess Celestia called out while doing so before turning to Rainbow "Ms. Dash, your thoughts?" Princess Celestia asked

"Umm... Uhh... Mmmph, O-Of course, it's as the witness says! ... Certainly, it does seem very likely she did it... But uh, there's no proof!" Rainbow explained in nervousness

...! Rainbow isn't sure!

"... Well? I came here as a witness today so if you've got no more questions I'll be leaving" Ahuizotl suggested

Urk! What do I do now?!

(Twilight then slammed her desk only to realize she's got nothing)

"..." Twilight thought in defeat

"Yes ms. Sparkle?" Princess Celestia asked

"I was hoping I'd come up with a question while pounding on my desk, I didn't" Twilight explained

"... You have my sympathies" Princess Celestia said sadly

Damn... Damn! To come so far only to fail...

"As it seems there are no further questions... I would like to end the cross examination of the witness mr. Ahuizotl" Princess Celestia announced

"Objection!" Rainbow called out before slamming her desk only to think in defeat "..." Rainbow thought in defeat

"Yes ms. Dash?" Princess Celestia asked

"I was hoping I'd come up with a question while I was objecting your honor... I didn't" Rainbow explained in defeat

"I see... Very well" Princess Celestia said

(Princess Celestia then began levitating her gavel again only to be stopped once more by something unexpected)

"Objection!" Rainbow called out "Your honor! I request that the witness testify again!" Rainbow ordered

"You are the prosecutor, are you not? Why are you badgering me? I'm your witness!" Ahuizotl reminded angrily

"I... I just want to hear your testimony again" Rainbow explained

"Does this make any sense to you your honor? I don't see that we have anything to gain by repeating the last several minutes" Ahuizotl reminded

"Ms. Dash... I too see little point in making mr. Ahuizotl repeat himself, what exactly did you want him to testify about?" Princess Celestia asked

"Mmmph!" Rainbow called out in shock and disbelief before shaking the thought off nervously "Well, yes, um...... Indeed! Verily I say... Ergo! I want to hear about what happened... After they found the body!" Rainbow explained

"After they found the body...? Very well, the witness will testify to the court concerning this matter" Princess Celestia suggested

"Hmph" Ahuizotl grumbled in disbelief

(While Ahuizotl thought back Pinkie had turned to Twilight in confusion)

"Twily! Why did Rainbow...?" Pinkie asked in confusion

"Who knows? She probably realized he did it too" Twilight guessed

"But... But! Wasn't she the one that said she always gets a guilty verdict...? Afer all that..." Pinkie asked in confusion

Witness Testimony

--After finding the body--

"I was with Zephyr and Neighsay, the security stallion when we found the body'

"The assistant was there too but only Yearling was absent"

"I immediately called the police and then Yearling showed up"

"The security stallion aka Neighsay was quite agitated, pointing at Yearling saying 'she did it!'"

"I asked to be left out of the proceedings"

"I went back to the trailer to get my script and direction notes"

"Then I went home"

"Hmm... I see no issues raised by this testimony... Ms. Sparkle, your cross examination" Princess Celestia suggested

"Okay Twily, we're close, real close! He may be acting tough now... But if you put him on the spot he's sure to falter! Find the key you need and twist the truth out of her Twily!" Pinkie supported

"Right!" Twilight agreed before turning to Ahuizotl "What time did you find the body?" Twilight asked

"We were to meet at 5:00 for the rehearsal so I'd say it was then" Ahuizotl answered

"When exactly did you and Mr. Breeze arrive at Daring Do's replica home?" Twilight asked

"About 10 minutes before, I wasn't stuffing any bodies into costumes mind you" Ahuizotl reminded nervously

Hmm...

"Where were the other employees when you got to the replica home?" Twilight asked

"They weren't there yet" Ahuizotl answered

"Well?! Then you could have put Martingale in that costume with Zephyr Breeze's help!" Twilight reminded

"Oh? What did I just say? Did I not just say 'I wasn't stuffing any bodies into any costumes'...? You should try to listen to what ponies are saying filly" Ahuizotl suggested

F-Filly?!

"The defense will continue her cross examination" Princess Celestia suggested with a glare at Twilight

"Ms. Yearling was taking a nap, correct?" Twilight asked

"So she says" Ahuizotl answered

"Did no pony go to call him?" Twilight asked

"Remember..." Ahuizotl suggested

"Remember... What?" Twilight asked

"There was a dead body lying in front of us yet you expect me to be calm?" Ahuizotl asked

You certainly seemed calm enough when I accused you of murder!

(Twilight then sighed in disbelief)

"Wait a second! Wouldn't that be the other way around?!" Twilight asked

"The other way around?" Ahuizotl asked

"You discovered a murdered body and one pony was missing, right? Wouldn't you normally go looking for the missing pony?!" Twilight asked

"Hmm... I have to agree with the defense on this one" Princess Celestia agreed before turning to Ahuizotl "Well mr. Ahuizotl?" Princess Celestia asked

"Hmph, logically speaking perhaps but nopony there was thinking very logically I assure you also without his Daring Do costume Yearling doesn't really stand out, we often left him on the bus when shooting at locations, no one noticed she was missing" Ahuizotl explained

Poor Yearling...

"Hmm... Well, I suppose that explains that" Princess Celestia realized

"What was everypony else doing when you found the body?" Twilight asked

"Nopony said a thing, it was silent, completely silent so we stood there until Yearling finally arrived on the scene 'Sorry! Sorry I'm late!' Then... Silence, deep silence" Ahuizol answered

"..." Twilight thought

"..." Rainbow thought

"..." Princess Celestia thought

"Silent" Ahuizotl explained

(Pinkie then shook Twilight a bit)

"Hey..." Pinkie said before she slapped Twilight on the side making her think again "Hey Twily, why's everypony so quiet? Somepony should do something to lighten things up!" Pinkie suggested

"R-Right, sorry" Twilight apologized before turning to Ahuizotl thinking again

Neighsay... The security stallion

"Why did the security stallion think Yearling had done it?" Twilight asked

"He said that it was because he saw him going towards Daring Do's replica home" Ahuizotl answered

Right... Daring Do

"Did the detective arrest ms. Yearling based solely on the security stallion's word?" Twilight asked

"Perhaps not, he seems to have given the detective that photograph... Of course I heard all this after the fact" Ahuizotl answered

That photograph... Meaning the one taken by the security camera

"He's not known for exhibiting the best sense of judgement when it comes to Yearling" Ahuizotl finished explaining

Hmm, I don't think there's anything in there I can use

"So you 'asked to be left out'?" Twilight asked

"Yes, it seems that everyone else was questioned and I'm really not fond of that sort of thing" Ahuizotl explained

"But you can't decide who the police will and won't question!" Twilight reminded

"Thankfully the studio thinks otherwise, they were nice enough to understand that since we were in a meeting... There was no way we could be involved thus they covered for us" Ahuizotl explained

Covered for you... Or covered it up for you? There must have been a lot riding on it with all those bigwigs at the meeting... I'm sure her 'professionals' helped convince everypony they didn't require questioning

"So you went to get your script and direction notes?" Twilight asked

"Yes, they're quite valuable, it wouldn't do to have them stolen" Ahuizotl explained

"No, I guess not" Twilight said before she realized something "Wait a second! I thought you came to Daring Do's replica home for a rehearsal! Why didn't you bring your script and notes?!" Twilight asked

"Well, I was under the impression that we wouldn't be able to rehearse anything" Ahuizotl explained

"Why?" Twilight asked

"There was a murder after all! Who could think of rehearsing after that!" Ahuizotl reminded

Oh yeah, I guess

"Hmm... Very well, ms. Sparkle, please continue..." Princess Celestia started

"Objection!" Rainbow called out "Your honor!!! I have an objection to the witness' last statement!" Rainbow explained

Huh...?!

"Think! Mr. Ahuizotl said he didn't bring the script because there wouldn't be a rehearsal, don't you see what that means? He would have had to know about the murder before going to Daring Do's replica home!" Rainbow reminded

"...!" Ahuizotl gasped in disbelief

(After gasping in disbelief other ponies began making sounds of shock and disbelief before Princess Celestia slammed her gavel to calm everypony down)

"Order! Order!" Princess Celestia called out before turning to Rainbow "Ms. Dash!" Princess Celestia called out in disbelief

"..." Rainbow thought in worry

"What you have just said... Is a reasonable observation however I find it hard to understand why the prosecution would make such a move! Or are you thinking of a career change to defense?!" Princess Celestia asked

"... I... Appreciate the concern your honor, I will stand by my statement however, regardless of how the court sees my role here" Rainbow explained before turning to Ahuizotl "Now, mr. Ahuizotl... Do you have an explanation?!" Rainbow asked

I can't believe Rainbow is helping me!

"Hmph, so the prosecution is in cahoots with the defense? What kind of court is this? No matter, I think you misunderstood me, I had a perfectly reason to believe there would be no rehearsal" Ahuizotl reminded

"Hmm... Very well, the witness will change her testimony to reflect this reason" Princess Celestia said

"I knew that Yearling was injured and couldn't do any action scenes so I left them behind"

"Objection!" Twilight called out "You 'knew that Yearling was injured'...? Don't you think that's a little funny? I mean it was Daring Do who was injured! It was A.K. Yearling!" Twilight reminded

"Wh... What?!" Ahuizotl asked in shock and confusion

"Ms. Sparkle! Explain yourself!" Princess Celestia ordered

"Yes, mr. Martingale is dragging his leg in this photo but that's because he was pretending to be ms. Yearling!" Twilight explained

"P-Pretending...?" Ahuizotl asked in shock and worry

"One pony was injured in the run-through that morning, that pony was ms. Yearling and not mr. Martingale! Now why did you think it was mr. Martingale who was injured?" Twilight asked

"...! I-I already said it was Zephyr who told me! Th-That's right! He must have gotten it wrong" Ahuizotl answered nervously

"I think not, mr. Breeze was at the run-through that morning, he would have known it was ms. Yearling who was injured, he saw it happen! Why would he tell you the wrong person? Mr. Ahuizotl! Actually, you didn't hear anything from mr. Breeze, you saw Mr. Martingale limping with your own eyes!" Twilight reminded

"Yes but... Wasn't it ms. Yearling who was injured...?" Princess Celestia asked

"Yes but remember! Mr. Martingale was dragging his leg too! He was pretending to be ms. Yearling!" Twilight reminded

"Aah!" Princess Celestia called out in shock and disbelief

"And when was he doing this...?" Twilight asked

"Well... It would have been after he put on the Daring Do costume... And went to the replica temple where he fought to his death!" Rainbow explained

"Exactly! Mr. Ahuizotl! You met him didn't you? You saw Daring Do limping! And mr. Martingale was in that Daring Do suit! That's why you were confused! That's why you thought it was mr. Martingale who had been injured that morning!" Twilight reminded

"...!!!" Ahuizotl gasped in shock and disbelief

(Other ponies then began making sounds of shock and disbelief before Princess Celestia slammed the gavel again)

"Order! Order! I will have order!" Princess Celestia ordered

"Witness! Can you refute this claim?" Rainbow asked

"Hrrmmmm... Hmph......" Ahuizotl gasped in anger before turning to Twilight angrily

Yeah, let's see you sneak out of this one Ahuizotl!

"... Very well! I have a question for you!" Ahuizotl said with a weak grin

Urk... Why are the real killers always so... Persistent?

"Why in the world would I want mr. Martingale dead? Yes, he'd fallen on hard times but he was a star! I had nothing to gain from his death! Nothing!" Ahuizotl reminded angrily

"Hmm... Yes, you would need a motive, why would she have killed the victim? If there is a reason it will be unclear to this court, does the defense have anything to say on the matter? In other words can you prove she had a motive?" Princess Celestia asked

"Okay, I have proof and I'll show it to you! I present to the court the evidence to mr. Ahuizotl's motive in this murder" Twilight explained before teleporting the five year old photo next to her "This is my proof!" Twilight explained

"This is... The photo from before?" Princess Celestia asked in confusion

"This photo reveals the motive in this murder!" Twilight explained

"...!" Ahuizotl gasped in worry

I'm right aren't I mr. Ahuizotl?" Twilight asked

"Hrrrrrrm... Hmph!" Ahuizotl mutters angrily

"Five years ago, mr. Martingale was at the height of his fame and with Ahuizotl's help a terrible accident was swept under the carpet... Ladies and gentlemen the case currently up for trial... It began on that day, five years ago!" Twilight reminded

"..." Ahuizotl thought angrily

"Ironically enough that accident precipitated mr. Martingale's fall... His fall from stardom!" Twilight finished explaining

"His guilt weighed him down no doubt" Rainbow agreed

"However! You, Ahuizotl used mr. Martingale, you made him work for you for petty change!" Twilight reminded angrily

"Hmph!" Ahuizotl gasped in shock and worry

"Bringing us to the present day... And mr. Martingale's last role as Dr. Caballeron!" Rainbow explained

"Yes! Undoubtedly it was a constant source of shame for the ex-star..." Twilight explained

"Hmm..." Rainbow thought

"One moment ms. Sparkle, we are talking about motives here... Yet you have only talked about mr. Martingale, it almost seems as if... As if it was mr. Martingale who had killed Ahuizotl not the other way around! What motive would mr. Ahuizotl have?" Princess Celestia asked

"Y-Yes, that's right, according to what you say... I would have no reason to kill Martingale, he was a good source of income for me! And I never get rid of useful men, it's a policy of mine" Ahuizotl explained

"Ms. Sparkle? Please explain mr. Ahuizotl's motive for murder" Princess Celestia suggested

"She had no motive your honor" Twilight explained

"What's that now?!" Princess Celestia asked in shock

"It was mr. Martingale who was out for blood! All mr. Ahuizotl did was fight him off the cliff... In self defense!" Twilight explained

"What's that now?!" Rainbow asked in shock and disbelief

"It's simple! Mr. Martingale was intending to kill mr. Ahuizotl!" Twilight explained

"Wha-?! WHAT?!" Rainbow asked in shock and disbelief

"Your honor! Let me tell the case from the beginning" Twilight suggested

"Groom Q. Q. Martingale drugged Ms. Yearling with sleeping pills before he snuck into the dressing room and stole the Daring Do costume! He then wore the costume to fool the security stallion into thinking he was Yearling! Then he made his way to the trailer! And for what purpose you ask? To kill Ahuizotl who had so cruelly taken advantage of him all those years!" Twilight explained before turning to Ahuizotl "So you did do it didn't you?" Twilight asked

(AN: End music here) 

"... Yes, I am guilty, it was me..." Ahuizotl answered in defeat

[Flashback Start]

(The flashback starts with somebody falling down before a crash was heard making everypony in the surrounding area turn to the sound only for them to see the body of Prince Blueblood)

"Somepony call an ambulance!" Somepony called out

"Th-There's blood everywhere! We're too late!" Somepony else called out

(Just then Ahuizotl rushed towards the group who then gasped in shock and worry)

"Aah! Mr. Ahuizotl!" Somepony then called out

"What...? What happened here?!" Ahuizotl asked

(The group then noticed Zephyr falling off the stairs of the Castle of the Two Sisters' underground)

"Zephyr fell from the stairs...!" Somepony called out

(Ahuizotl then quickly rushed to Zephyr's side as she held him in her hooves)

"Zephyr! Zephyr!" Ahuizotl called out

"Urk! B-Blood" Zephyr stuttered

"Mr. Ahuizotl, please get Zephyr to safety for now" Somepony suggested

(Ahuizotl then noticed the body making him worried)

"No...! No! How could this...?" Ahuizotl started in worry

"It was an accident..." Groom Q. Q. Martingale explained

"Mr. Martingale was doing an action scene and..." Zephyr started before falling unconscious

"No! Zephyr! Zephyr!!!!" Ahuizotl called out in worry

"J-Just leave for now Ahuizotl!" Somepony called out

"Please... Please be okay please..." Ahuizotl said

[Flashback End]

(Ahuizotl was then heard sobbing a bit before somepony gave her some tissues)

"Congratulations ms. Sparkle, I lose... Again" Ahuizotl said in defeat

(Ahuizotl was then dragged away while sobbing and after a while Princess Celestia turned to Rainbow)

"Ms. Dash... Where's Ahuizotl?" Princess Celestia asked

"In the waiting lobby your honor, as sad and quiet as we knew she'd be..." Rainbow answered

"I see..." Princess Celestia said before turning to Twilight "Ms. Sparkle" Princess Celestia said

"Yes your honor?" Twilight asked

"It appears you have brought about yet another miracle" Princess Celestia applauded

"I... Thank you your honor" Twilight thanked

"I think not your honor, A.K. Yearling was innocent, that she should be found so is only natural... Not a miracle" Rainbow reminded

"... Yes, yes, you're right" Princess Celestia agreed "Very well, this court finds the defendant ms. A.K. Yearling 'Not Guilty!'" Princess Celestia announced causing everypony in the courtroom to cheer "That is all, court is adjourned" Princess Celestia announced

October 19, 1:12 PM

District Court

Defendant Lobby No. 3

(Twilight alongside Pinkie and A.K. Yearling then went back to the defendant lobby and when they arrived A.K. Yearling could only hug Twilight in happiness)

"I... I don't know what to say! Thank you so much!" A.K. Yearling thanked

"I'm just glad you're okay" Twilight said

"Yes... but..." A.K. Yearling started before breaking the hug and looking down in sadness "Its sad, I know now that mr. Martingale stole my costume, it's bad enough that he wanted to kill mr. Ahuizotl... But to think that he tried to frame me for murder! It makes me sad... Tell me why ms. Sparkle!" A.K. Yearling suggested

"H-Huh?" Twilight asked

"Tell me! Why did mr. Martingale want to blame me...?" A.K. Yearling asked

"It's because you were Daring Do" Twilight answered

"Because I was Daring Do?" A.K. Yearling asked

"Mr. Martingale was a big star once but he was reduced to acting in a kids' show... And as the villain to boot! The kids love Daring Do and so he hated you" Twilight explained

"I... I think I understand, h-he could have just told me, I would have talked things out with him! Especially since he was reformed!" A.K. Yearling said sadly

I think you're missing the point...

"...Thank you, I'm just glad it's all over" A.K. Yearling thanked

So am I... So am I...

"Congratulations A.K.!" Pinkie congratulated

"Oh? Oh! Heh heh, thanks to you I'll be able to don the Daring Do outfit once more! I can't wait to get back into that sweaty costume and......!" A.K. Yearling started before she noticed Twilight and Pinkie were staring at her worriedly "Is... Something wrong?" A.K. Yearling asked

"N-No! O-Of course not..." Pinkie said before she noticed Rainbow entering the room "Aah! T-Twily! Rainbow's here!" Pinkie said

(After saying that the trio turned to Rainbow who was looking at them worriedly

"..." Rainbow thought

"..." Twilight thought

"...Say something Twilight, I'm not good at small talk" Rainbow suggested

"Huh? What?" Twilight asked before shaking the thought off "... Umm... That was too bad Rainbow!" Twilight said nervously

"You don't waste any time gloating do you?" Rainbow asked

"No... I really wanted to thank you, Ahuizotl would have gotten away if you hadn't stepped in" Twilight said

(A.K. Yearling then turned to Rainbow in happiness)

"Rainbow! I wanted to say thank you for helping Twilight get me free!" A.K. Yearling thanked

"Ah, er, thank you, I didn't expect it to be tough fighting on the opposite side though" Rainbow said

Liar! You were so willing to make sure I fail!

(Rainbow then turned to Twilight nervously)

"... Twilight, I must say, I hadn't expected to meet you again after the last incident a couple of months ago" Rainbow explained

"Meet 'again'...?" Pinkie asked

"However in retrospect it would have been better had we not met in this way, thanks to you I am saddled with unnecessary... Feelings" Rainbow explained

"Unnecessary feelings?" Twilight asked

"Yes, unease... And uncertainty" Rainbow explained

"Aren't those kind of necessary?" Twilight asked

"They only serve to get in my way" Rainbow explained before getting into Twilight's face "You listen to me Twilight Sparkle, don't ever show your face in front of me again, that's what I came here to tell you" Rainbow ordered angrily

(Rainbow then flew out of the room in super speed before Twilight could say a thing)

"Umm... Ms. Sparkle? Is... Rainbow angry at you?" A.K. Yearling asked

"What? Angry? As if! They're still friends! Friends! Right Twilight?" Pinkie asked

"For now we aren't... I guess" Twilight answered sadly

"Huh? Why do I get the feeling I'm missing something? C'mon Twily! Tell me! What's the deal with you and Rainbow?" Pinkie asked

And so the curtain closes on another trial... I caused quite a stir by revealing that accident from five years ago, it was the talk of the town but thankfully the compay the Everfree Forest works with rethought it's programming change, they went back to making kids' shows again

(The few days later Twilight and Pinkie were in the Castle of Friendship as Twilight brought in some food for the two to eat until Pinkie got an idea)

"Twily! This is it! The new show starts today! You're going to watch it with me, right?" Pinkie asked

I'll admit, I was kind of surprised... I didn't think they'd seriously go through with it...

"You have to buy trading cards too okay! We have to trade with Featherweight and Sassy Saddles!" Pinkie reminded

"Okay, Okay I'll do it" Twilight said

"Isn't it great that A.K. gets to play the story writer in the show? I wonder if they'll show alter ego this time..." Pinkie said excitedly

"I don't know... I don't think Equestria is ready for the A.K. Yearling alter ego..." Twilight said
