A rabbit hops into the clearing, always on guard but not enough as he munches on a dandelion. His large ears prick at every sound from the squirrels running through the trees or the sound of a lake nearby.

What they didn't pick up however was the sound of a large wolf crouching down in position to attack. The wolf's ears were pressed against his head as he crawls forward slowly, and then when the moment was right, he pounces.

The chase was short, the wolf faster than the rabbit as they ran through the clearing. Once the wolf's large teeth latch onto the rabbit's neck, he shook his head ferociously until the neck snaps in two.

After skinning the rabbit clean and building a fire, he roasts it on the open flame just as the sky entered into twilight. The rabbit was scarfed down to the bones which were used to pick his teeth from the leftover meat, then the Alpha male sighs as he lays on the ground close to the fire.

The fire was warm and cut through the chill of the night air. The lone Alpha sat and watched as the flames danced between the wooden planks, and crackled under its heat.

His brown eyes were dull, no excitement in them whatsoever as the screams and snarls echo in his mind.

He's let everyone down...

So much blood. So much hurt. So much anger.

Shaking his head, he takes a deep breath to clear away some of the pain. Too bad it can't take all of it. He was all alone now, and can't look back.
