~~26~~

The pack members were all tense with the disappearance of their Head Alpha, especially Hwanwoong. The Luna himself refused to eat and refused to rest. Leedo knew as second in command he needed to make sure his Luna is well cared for, it is what Youngjo would want if he were here.

Leedo knew the only thing they could do for their head alpha was go after him and hopefully release him from whatever prison they are keeping him in. Based on Keonhee's story, Hwanwoong suspects it was their old pack and Youngjo's father coming after his mate.

"So we're venturing to your old home," Leedo nods, "Tomorrow. We leave to go bring Youngjo back tomorrow at first light."

Before the journey, Keonhee and Dongju made dinner for everyone, Leedo making sure they replenished their energy and ate plenty. Whatever they don't eat, they will pack for their journey tomorrow. But in the corner of his eye, he noticed his Luna retreating to his hut quietly, almost ghostly.

As everyone ate, Leedo their Luna to his hut, knocking quietly on the door and waited for permission to enter. Hwanwoong's small voice granted him access, and Leedo opens the door softly to see a small fire blazing in the middle of their hut, the Luna staring into the flames. Leedo frowns, "Hwanwoong you need to eat."

"I'm not hungry," the Luna spoke softly, swallowing harshly.

Leedo sighs, "I know this isn't easy, but we have a big day tomorrow and a long journey ahead of us-"

"Leedo, I'm sorry but you have no idea what it's like to lose someone you love," Hwanwoong's voice broke, the sound made Leedo's heart sting, "Your other half. Your everything."

"He may not have," Dongju's voice called from the door, it surprised both the Luna and the second in command, "But I however know your pain Hwanwoong."

"Dongju-" Leedo starts, turning to his Beta, but Dongju narrows his eyes at the alpha.

"Don't 'Dongju' me. I came to see if there was anything I could do to help, clearly there is. I'll talk to Hwanwoong, you should go check on the other members," Dongju nods, crossing his arms as he enters the warm hut.

Leedo rolls his eyes, "I just wanted to make sure he was eating and getting rest. Tomorrow we're all going to be traveling and it's going to be exhausting."

"And I understand that, but I was in his shoes not too long ago. I almost lost you, and whenever the others tried to get me to eat or rest I refused every time. I'll talk to him, you go make sure the other two are okay."

Leedo sighs, leaving the hut to Hwanwoong and Dongju while he went to check on the other two members of the pack. Seoho and Keonhee sat around the fire outside, quietly munching on their deer steaks they made until Leedo appears, "Keonhee, tomorrow we're all traveling to find Youngjo. As soon as both of you are done eating, you should get some rest."

"Wait, what?" Keonhee perks up, his eyebrows knitted together, "We're all leaving? No one is staying behind?"

"Yes, everyone is going. I'm not losing anymore pack members. It's a tough venture, but we need our head alpha."

Keonhee was silent, but he nods softly before looking away from the second in command. Seoho was silent as well as he continued to eat, Leedo could tell he was just as anxious to travel. After packing everything they would need for tomorrow, Leedo sighs tiredly while laying down in the pile of furs in his hut. He stared up into the hole of his hut, the stars shining brightly through the smoke and flame from his fire burning.

The door opens quietly and Dongju steps in, softly shutting the door behind him. Leedo sits straight up, "How was he?"

"He wants Youngjo back," Dongju nods, crossing his arms from the cold as he walks towards his Alpha, "I think I speak for everyone when I say we all want him back."

Leedo hums, wrapping an arm around the pregnant Beta as soon as he sits beside him. Dongju sighs, "I didn't think it was the right time to tell Hwanwoong. I wanted to wait and tell him and Youngjo both with you beside me."

"I agree, it's something we need to discuss with them both," Leedo nods, "Are you going to be okay traveling tomorrow?"

"Of course I'm going to be fine," Dongju snorts, "The only thing that's bothering me is puking my damn guts out."

"Well if you start getting tired we'll stop for rest."

"Don't stop for me," Dongju frowns, "Seriously, don't. There have been many moments growing up where my pack traveled with me sick, and any one else not feeling well. We learned to keep going and if we lost casualties then we lost casualties. We never stayed in one place for too long."

"What exactly was your pack? They didn't have a territory they stayed in?"

"Nope. Gypsies don't have territories, especially if we're performing gypsies." Leedo was quiet at his Beta's words, that is until Dongju puts his hand on his Alpha's cheek and gently caresses it, "Hey, don't worry about me. Your Luna needs your support right now and your pack. Being second in command, you need to think about everyone's well being-"

"But you are my mate. I worry about you as well considering you're carrying my pup."

Dongju smiles softly, "I'm touched that you're worried about me, but I'll be fine. Hwanwoong and the others need your help, I can handle my own." The beta yawns softly before laying his head down on Leedo's shoulder, sighing in relief, "If we're traveling tomorrow we better get some rest. Hopefully this child will make me puke before we leave so I don't puke on the way."

Leedo sniffs the ground as he followed Keonhee to the location where the kidnapping happened. They were close, but every time he would catch a whiff of Youngjo's scent, it was almost immediately gone. He growls in frustration as he lost the trial he had been following for a while, turning to look at Keonhee, Was this were it happened?

Yes, the beta replies, he was surrounded by other wolves. There was a larger alpha that looked just like him that easily towered over him. Keonhee reminds the second in command.

Dongju watched as his Alpha turned to search for a new trail, Keonhee followed suit to look for the scent. He would help but he's afraid if he caught smell of the trail it would make him sick and he is trying to avoid puking currently. He had been feeling quite queasy all morning and had done his best about keeping the nausea at bay during the trip, but he knows at some point he's going to have to sneak off to empty his stomach.

Hwanwoong was beside him the entire time, you could tell the Omega didn't sleep well. He wasn't there with them, his eyes even looked glossed over with no light whatsoever in them.

They continued on their journey, passing time by quickly and they felt as if they hardly covered any ground. Just when Dongju was starting to feel confident that he wouldn't get sick, they passed by a lilac bush near a stream and the Beta couldn't help but make a coughing gag noise. He rushes over to shield himself behind a tree, shifting to his human form before purging whatever is threatening to come up.

Everything he has consumed came back up and flooded the dirt below him. He placed a hand on the tree for support as he purged again, dry heaving everything up noisily. A soft hand was placed on his back and he didn't need to look over his shoulder to know it was Hwanwoong, "I'm okay."

"No you're not," the Luna spoke, his voice even sounded tired with no emotion in the tone, "Something is going on with you, but I have been preoccupied with the thoughts of my mate to let the theories click in my mind. You're pregnant aren't you?"

Dongju looks over at his Luna, seeing hurt play across his handsome face. Tears flooded the Omega's eyes as he waited for the Beta to confirm his diagnosis. Dongju swallows the residue bile stuck in his throat back down, nodding slowly, "Yes, I believe I am. From what I know at least, I am pregnant."

Hwanwoong bites his lip before he sniffles, wiping his eyes to rid the tears threatening to fall before standing abruptly, "Congratulations." He snaps, turning his back and shifting back into his wolf form, walking away quickly from Dongju.

The beta frowns, feeling another hand touch his bare hip and relaxing into his Alpha's touch, "Did I say something wrong?"

"No," Leedo's voice dropped low, "I'm not sure why he reacted that way." The alpha sighs, brushing Dongju's hair back, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I don't have anything left in my stomach," Dongju grimaces, "Baby does not like lilac."

Leedo chuckles, helping Dongju back up before leading him away from one of the lilac bushes to avoid this happening again. As they walked towards the others, Keonhee's wolf trotted up to Leedo before he shifts and stands before the Alpha, "I lost the scent. It just stops right here in this area."

Leedo bites his lip, looking to Hwanwoong before releasing Dongju. The Alpha walked over to the Luna, Hwanwoong stared at the creek before them lost in his own world. Tear tracks shone on his cheeks from the bright mid morning sun as Leedo sits beside him, "Hwanwoong, I know that this isn't a good time right now. But we need you to snap out of this state, and help us. You said Youngjo was taken back home?"

Hwanwoong's wolf huffs once, a single tear falls from his eyes and soaks his gorgeous fur around his face. Leedo nods, "Okay, you're going to need to show us where we go. Because I was trying to follow the scents, but now we don't have any scent to go by or follow. We need your help, and your guidance, Luna."

Dongju felt tingly with pride as his Alpha talked to their Luna, staying back with Keonhee as they awaited for Hwanwoong's answer. After what seemed like a good few minutes, Hwanwoong stood and trots over to a small worn down path between the trees, turning his head to look at everyone behind him before barking once, "Are you all coming?"

Leedo nods, "Lead the way Luna."

The five wolves run behind their Luna, Leedo taking some time to mark trees along the way so that way they know what trail or what way they need to take to come back to their homes. By nightfall, Dongju was exhausted and ready to lay down. His back was hurting, his legs were hurting, but his Alpha was doing everything he could to help him and make him feel comfortable. They sat together around a small fire Keonhee built, eating some venison they packed from home to build their strength up from today's hike.

While everyone slept, Leedo was massaging Dongju's legs and feet, the Beta closed his eyes in content as the aches in them wore away. Shortly after, he moves to Dongju's back and rubs some of the knots forming in his back. Dongju hums in content, "Thank you."

"I knew this was going to be hard on you."

"Don't start that," Dongju rolls his eyes, "Seriously, I'm fine. I haven't ever traveled pregnant obviously, and it's really been a while since I've traveled. So this is going to take some  getting used to."

Leedo chuckles, "Well, don't get use to traveling because once we bring home Youngjo we're staying home for the rest of your pregnancy and long after that."

Dongju smirks deciding to lightly tease his Alpha, "Oh stop with the whole overbearing Alpha affection you sap."

Before Leedo could reply, Keonhee jerks out of a deep slumber with his eyes widened with terror. He looks around, chest pumping quickly with panted breathes as he stood and looked around the forest. Leedo frowns, standing as well from behind Dongju, "Keonhee?"

"No no no no," Keonhee shakes his head, "Please no, please not now!"

"Keonhee!" Leedo grabs Keonhee's shoulder and turns the Beta to face him, "Hey! What's wrong?"

"Do you not smell them?" Keonhee was on the verge of a breakdown, Leedo could see it in his kind eyes. Leedo sniffs once and that's when his blood ran cold.

Intruders.
