Training had never been your kind of thing.

Sure, you'd do some exercise every now and then if the opportunity presented itself but to willingly train every single day wasn't your thing.

Unfortunately, your best friend was extremely stubborn.

Jasper had been your best friend for as long as you could remember, and for that same amount of time you'd always had some form of feelings for him but never mentioned them as the friendship was simply too important.

Besides, he had Alice and you weren't one to break up a relationship.

However, your said best friend has discovered the fact that you could manipulate the elements as your ability due to the whole immortal vampire thing.

As a result of his discovery, he had been extremely stubborn about making you train with him so that you could learn it in the event of a battle.

So, for the second day of the second month in a row, you were stood in the forest opposite Jasper.

"Come on Y/N/N, focus and work on the earth element," Jasper encouraged you.

He had been saying the exact same thing for the past three hours, and you were getting nowhere.

"Y/N, just focus."

"Don't you think I am trying? Gees, I don't even need to do this," you complained as you sat down on the floor in annoyance.

Jasper sighed, sitting down next to you within a few moments, "I didn't say you weren't trying Y/N/N."

"Look Jas, you don't need to do this. Go spend your time with Alice, okay? I'm sure she's been missing you," you quickly spoke to him "I can handle myself out there and I don't need training."

He sighed again "I doubt Alice wants me around anymore."

His words caused a confused expression to cross your face "You're her boyfriend Jasper – of course she wants you around," you told him.

"Alice and I haven't been together for a month now."

Your mouth dropped open at his words, not being able to form a reply.

"She...uh...left me – left town altogether actually," he fiddled with his jacket as he spoke "The Cullen's don't want me to leave as I'm still family to them, or so they've said, and the same with you."

You shook your head in disbelief "Alice wouldn't leave you Jasper, she would have no reason to."

He sighed "She left because she found someone else, and whilst I want her to be happy, I wish she could've told me a long time ago," he admitted to you.

You nodded in understanding "It'll hurt for a while Jas, but you'll find someone."

Jasper stood up, offering you his hand and then motioned to the house "Come on Y/N/N, let's go get something to eat."

"And then no more training?"

He laughed, a smirk on his face, "I don't know about that," he joked "I like seeing you in that training gear."

You shoved him "Oh you perv!"

"Only for you darlin'"
