Jacob Black- Arguments (h)
You weren't really a confrontational person, for the most part you weren't anyway but when the situation presented it you couldn't help yourself.
Jacob had gotten to know the signs of when you were about to flip at someone – if he thought they deserved it he usually let you get on with it, standing behind you for when you needed him but if he thought you were a bit unmatched then he knew how to calm you down.
The whole pack had started to recognise your signs too and if Jacob wasn't there then at least one of them would keep an eye out for you.
You'd never felt that confrontational towards Bella, despite how obsessed she seemed with Jacob at times, but unbeknownst to you that was all going to change.
The whole pack had decided to spend the day at La Push with their imprints and you couldn't remember the last time you'd had such a good time with them all.
"Hey!" Bella's voice came from the far end of the beach.
Everyone turned around to see her storming towards where you were all sitting, Jacob shot up as did the other boys.
"What the hell were you thinking?!" she yelled straight at Jacob when she reached him.
Jacob looked at her in confusion whilst you stood up to stand behind him, taking his hand in yours.
"You told my Dad about me and Edward going away, didn't you?" she seethed at him.
Sighing, Jacob squeezed your hand as he faced his friend.
"So, what if I did Bella? You can't lie to him, he told you his conditions on you and Edward and he even asked me to keep an eye out for you when I could," he calmly explained to her, feeling no regret for what he did. "So, no I am not going to stand by as you blatantly lie to Charlie and then travel however many states away for god knows how long."
Bella was not best pleased at Jacob, and in a way, she had a right to be upset but Jacob had sound logic and he did what he did with good intentions.
Without saying anything back to him she lunged towards him but didn't get very far as Paul and Embry ended up holding her arms. "Get off of me!"
You scoffed, becoming irritated at the fact that she was so viciously upset at her plans with her god-awful boyfriend had been foiled.
Bella's eyes honed in on you as she glared at you. "I bet you told him to tell my Dad, didn't you?!"
Shaking your head, you moved to stand slightly in front of Jacob as you matched her glare. "I didn't have to tell him to do anything, he did it on his own – I even sat on his bike as he did it."
"Why didn't you stop him?!"
You looked at her incredulously. "Why would I?!" you challenged back. "You knew you were in the wrong, you knew your Dad would be upset with you and yet you were still going to leave him? For what Bella? To be with that arsehole boyfriend you have?" you fired your questions at her and watched as her facial expressions changed.
Jacob's free hand moved to your waist, stopping you advancing on Bella as you gave her a taste of her own attitude.
"Don't come here and yell at my boyfriend for doing what he thought was right by you? As far as I'm concerned, he shouldn't give one about you and your bloodsucker," you stated with venom in your tone when you spoke about Edward. "But he does, he cares about you and he cares about Charlie so maybe you should get your own attitude in check before coming here and acting like you're in the right."
Paul and Embry let go of Bella as she had stopped struggling, but with a glare to you and a glare to Jacob she stormed off back the way she came.
The boys decided to cheer and clap as she walked off clearly having enjoyed the confrontation – likely finding it amusing.
"I have to say Y/N, you putting her in her place was pretty satisfying," Emily told you with a smile as everyone else nodded in agreement.
You laughed as you sat back down with Jacob sitting down behind you as he pulled you to rest against his chest.
"She can end all my arguments like that," Jacob joked before he pressed a kiss to the top of your head. "Never seen Bella put in her place so effortlessly."
