Imagine : Scarlett is the mate of Caius, and best friend of Alec.

Scarlett breathed in the fresh air. Today was one of the few off days her husband had gotten in the past month, and she was grateful to be spending her time with him outside. Caius reached around and wrapped his strong arms around his mates waist. The smell of apple that radiated off of her, caused the cruel king to purr in pure bliss. Scarlett turned and looked up to meet the gaze of her mate. His red eyes showed so much kindness that she felt a blush form on her tan cheeks. 

  “I love you, my king.” She said in a whisper. Both their lips touched, and danced together like a blazing fire. 

    ‘Hello! Earth to Scarlett! Anyone in there?” Alec was spending time with his close friend while he awaited his shift to start, but one problem though. She kept zoning out. 

Blinking away the daydream, Scarlett looked around and met the eyes of her friend. Alec held the bowl of popcorn, as there were already a few pieces on the floor. A piece flew past her, causing her to look at Alec. He kept throwing them as she jumped up and ran behind the couch.

    “What...AH! What are you doing?” She said, trying her hardest to avoid the many flying popcorn kernels heading her way.

    “I’m trying to spend time with you, and you keep freaking daydreaming!” Alec said, suppressing a laugh as one kernel hits her in the forehead. 

   “I’m sorry! Ahhh! I swear, please….STOP!” The army of popcorn existed no more. All movements and sounds came to an end, as Scarlett allowed herself to take a look. Peeking up over the couch, Scarlett could see the once full bowl was now empty. Sighing, she stood, only to have trail mix thrown at her. - “damn it Alec!” She hissed out, looking at the smirking vampire. Alec had his thumb in his mouth, trying so hard not to laugh. This was a side that no one, only Jane, got to see. Alec’s true child-like behavior came out around Scarlett, and she was very special to him. He saw her as another sister. A sister that he wouldn’t fail at protecting. No, not this time. He would protect Scarlett from anyone and anything. Especially the masters. 

The sound of the library's door opening and shutting gains the both of their attention. 
A tall, blonde haired, red eyed, angry looking man walks in revealing to yall it being Caius who just entered.  The both of you bow in respect, as he looks at the mess all over the floor. 

    “Would you mind explaining this, Alec?” Caius questioned, pointing his hard glare towards the guard. Alec met his master's glare and replied, “The Queen and I were just enjoying one anothers company, master.” He said quietly, as to not anger the king any further. A growl escaped Caius’s lips as he looked down at the much smaller boy. 

    “Oh I can tell. Just look at this floor!” Caius said. You huffed before placing a hand on the shoulder of Caius. He instantly melted into your touch. Now completely distracted by your hand. 

    “Leave him be, my love. I’ll have a clean up lady come and clean the mess. Alec, tonight we’ll play a game of chess, but for now could you give Caius and I some privacy?” Scarlett asked, allowing a bright smile to grace her face. Alec nodded and was quick to leave the tense situation. 

With a quick swing of her arm. Scarlett's hand collided with the back of Caius’s head. - “What the hell is wrong with you?” She hissed, looking at her mate like he had lost his mind. Caius was taken back by his mate's sudden actions, but then remembered his attitude towards her best friend. 

With a heavy breath, Caius placed both hands on her hip. - “My love, forgive me. I don’t know why I treated Alec in such a way.” Caius purred, placing his head in the nape of her neck. A smirk crossed her face as she yanked on his hair. His head pulled back instantly, and his eyes were locked on Scarletts. 

   “It’s gonna take much more than a few words to gain my forgiveness.” She winked. Leaving the blonde King standing in the Library as she went to go look for her best friend

Later that night, Scarlett forced Caius to play a game of Monopoly with her and Alec. She called it, "bonding time"~
