Today was the day, Mindy found an apartment for herself and Derek. Matt, Tai and Sofie were helping Mindy move into her new apartment.

"It sucks I won't be seeing you everyday"

Sofie said.

"Hey don't worry, I'll be sure to visit"

Mindy said with a smile.

"Ugh this is a lot of work"

Matt said.

"We can use all the muscle we can get. Hey how come Derek is gonna to live with you, if he's not here to help"

Tai said. Mindy cast her eyes down but choose to ignore the question.

"Don't ask such questions besides he likes things to be prepared and I like preparing them for him when he arrives"

She stated simply with a sad look that Tai had caught but she quickly covered it up with a smile. Sofie signaled to Tai and Matt to stay quiet.

"Hey I have an idea, let's ask our little friends"

Sofie suggested trying to change the subject and luckily it work.

"Who do you have in mind?"

Matt asked. Sofie took out her digivice.

"Gatomon I need you"

Mindy, Tai and Matt smiled as they got the same idea.

"Agumon"

Tai said taking out his digivice.

"Gabumon"

Matt called out.

"Impmon"

Mindy said.

"It feels like such a long time!"

Impmon said as he stretched out his arms.

"That's because it has"

Gatomon said as she waved her tail and smiled at Gabumon and Agumon.

"Okay you guys each of you get a box and let's get to work"

Matt said. Each of them got a box except for Impmon who made himself comfortable on the couch.

"Great you finally released us from the digivice and we were out for a few seconds and now you are going to make us work"

He said annoyed. Gatomon glared at him at slapped him with her tail.

"Ow, hey watch it fluff ball"

He yelled. Mindy got down to his level.

"Geez Impmon if you're complaining that much then you can go back inside the digivice"

Impmon froze and looked to Mindy with a smile.

"So where do you want these boxes?"

"That's much better"

After everything was set in the new apartment, the others decided to relax.

"Mindy you just got me the idea to find an apartment of my own"

Sofie said as she took a sip of her lemonade. Matt's eyes widen open a bit.

"Hey Sofie there is no rush here"

"I know but still I feel like I need to move on, on my own"

Matt secretly hope Sofie doesn't leave since he's practically at home alone since his dad works late or sometimes he doesn't come home at all. Tai couldn't help but feel a heavy burden from the way Impmon treats Mindy, it was no  different from Derek. He stood up and went to the room where the digimons were.

"Hey Impmon, can I have a word with you"

Impmon stood up from the floor and made his way to Tai. Tai got down on his knees and looked to him right in the eye.

"You shouldn't disrespect your partner, you know"

"What's it to you hairball?"

He asked crossing both his arms over his chest with a pout.

"I'm just going to be straight out with you, she gets enough crap from her boyfriend and she doesn't need that from you too"

"Well how about you tried staying stuck in a small space for a long time without getting fresh air. Listen I know what's be going on and if it we're up to me she deserves everything that comes at her"

He said. Tai's eyes open wide.

"How can you say that?"

"Don't you think I tried to convince her a long time ago to leave that big jerk but guess what she chose him over me, so I'm sorry if her feelings get hurt but she lets it happen"

He said walking away mumbling to himself. Tai frown as he stood and made his way to the kicthen. He found Mindy making a club sandwich.

"Mmmm that looks good"

He said with a smile as he was about to reach for one but Mindy smacked his hand away.

"Those are for Derek"

"But I'm the guest"

He said with a sad look. Mindy smiled as she shook her head. Tai leaned against the counter as he watched her work.

"So Impmon told me that you don't let him out much, care to tell me why?"

He asked as he saw her stopped working.

"Because Derek has an issue with him"

"But he's your partner"

"Tai..."

She said trailing off as she bite her tongue as if she was holding something back.

"Mindy, come on you can tell me"

Tai said quietly.

"Let me help you"

He said gently as he placed his hand over hers and again the same shock went through their body as they touch. Mindy pulled her hand away and grabbed the sandwich and placed it in Tai's hand.

"There now eat, while I'll make another plate"

Just then the door slammed open.

"MINDY!!!"

A man voice yelled. Mindy gasp in fear and quickly snatch the sandwich out of Tai's hand and placed it on the plate. She quickly grabbed the plate and went to greet her boyfriend. Matt and Sofie glared at Derek from the harsh opening.

"What the hell is everyone doing here, Mindy?"

Derek questioned to his girlfriend. Mindy remained quiet with her head low.

"Relax Derek, we just helped her move in to your guys apartment."

Sofie said. Derek scoff and look to Mindy.

"I want to relax"

He said. Mindy nodded as she quickly signaled the others to leave and get their Digimon. They went to their room and each one went inside the computer but Impmon was being disobedient.

"Impmon please"

She pleaded. Impmon glared at her as tears threaten to fall, he jumped up and slapped her causing them to gasp in surprise as he went inside the computer. Mindy rubbed her cheek and went to lead the others to the door, but before Tai left he grabbed a sandwich from Derek's plate and left causing Mindy to giggle quietly.
