"Hey guys sorry I'm late"

Sofie said panting as she put her purse down on the couch. She was one minute late for rehearsal at the studio. As soon as Sofie got to her spot, Matt turn to her with a glare.

"Sofie, if you're going to be part of this band then I expect everyone to be here on time when we say 2 o'clock sharp"

He stated sternly. Sofie raised an eye brow.

"Okaaay, but when you were late nobody complained"

"Because I'm the leader, we wouldn't be a band if it wasn't for me"

"What's with your attitude?"

She asked as she let go of the microphone. The rest of the band members looks at each other in confusion on what's going on with Matt.

"How about we set aside our differences and just..."

Sofie began to say but Matt cut her off.

"Okay then, you're fired"

He stated simply as he turn back to tune his guitar.

"What?"

"I just think that your band doesn't have what it takes to be part of the music industries"

"Excuse me. In case you have forgotten I am a music artist and I have been working extremely hard to get where we are"

"This is not up for a debate"

"Like hell it is"

Matt looked to her sternly

"At least let me play for the last concert before the fans wonder where we went"

"Fine"

"Don't call me, text me or send me letters"

Sofie said angrily.

"I'm sure I won't, can you?"

"Right I forgot I'm the desperate one"

She said walking out the door. The band members looked around each other.

"What the fuck?"

*Concert*

The concert was on and once again it was a full house, every ticket has been sold out and seats were taken. Matt and his band were on stage along with Sofie. Sofie was standing in the spotlight away from Matt. Mindy and Tai were in the audience and frown as they notice how far apart they were. Sofie grabbed her microphone.

"Okay everyone quiet down. I need to say something"

She said with a sad smile. The yelling and shouts became quiet as they waited.

"Today will be my last performance with the band Knife of Day, you guys have been a great audience and these moments I will cherish forever"

She said. The audience were still quiet from the surprise news, even Mindy and Tai were surprise that Sofie didn't tell them. Sofie began to sing.

She sang with a sad smile as she let go of the microphone and got off the stage. Matt shook his head as he took the microphone.

"Okay people let's..."

Matt thought he can change the atmosphere with the crowd but stood standing confuse as he saw the crowd began to boo him and the band as they left.

*In the Crowd*

"I don't understand. What's going on?"

Mindy asked to Tai. Tai got up from his seat and stopped one of the fans.

"Hey where is everyone going?"

Tai questions one of the fan.

"Because its better with Sofie singing with them and if she's not singing with them, then we are out"

The fan said as they left. The digidestined and June were the only ones left in the crowd. Tai looked to the stage to see Matt crestfallen as he put his guitar down and walked out of the stage. Sora went to the backstage to see if Matt was okay.

"Sweetheart are you okay?"

She asked. Matt glared at her before throwing the towel wrapped around his neck to the side and sat down burying his face into his hands. Tai walked up to them as the band followed behind him. Matt looked to Tai.

"So why did they leave?"

He asked. Tai let out a sigh.

"They want Sofie"

Matt looked to Sora and then back to Tai as he shook his head.

"She can't come back"

"But.."

Before Tai can question, Sora cut in.

"If it's a girl you need on the side singing then maybe I can help"

She said with a smile. Everyone looked to Sora with a raised eyebrow, but Matt insisted to give Sora a chance at least.
