Lips Parted

Roman was smiling.

Upon waking to find the early morning light streaming into his chambers, the prince sighed and stared up into the canopy of his bed. He should get back to the sides house soon, before he over extended his stay in the Imagination and tired Thomas out. Besides, Patton would be worried if he stayed here any longer than he said he would.

An arm flopped over his clothed chest and he murmured a little, smiling. "Hello, Love. How was your rest?"

The man next to Roman laughed and mashed his face into Roman's shoulder. "I slept well, My Prince." The words sent warm butterflies fluttering through Roman's chest, making him giggle. "And yourself, sire?"

"Oh, excellent indeed," the prince said, sitting up and stretching. "It's time for breakfast! Should I send for a servant, or would you like to flit down to the kitchens for some food?" he asked, looking down to his lover and winking seductively.

It seemed no one could resist Roman's charm, because the male grinned and sat up, wrapping his arms around Roman's midsection. "Of course, I will fetch some food for us right away, sire." He planted a gentle kiss on his cheek, then slid out of bed, dressing in formal clothing and slipping out of the chambers.

Ah, glory! Roman flopped back onto the bed and giggled gleefully. Finally, he wasn't alone! He had a date. How absolutely perfect. The romantic trait hadn't felt this centered in years! He absolutely could not wait to go on dates with this man. It would be, well...

Perfect.

Oh goodness, Roman just got fed. By hand. This was absolute heaven, and he could barely believe this was happening. Spending a day with his gentleman love... He could crawl under the covers and giggle like a little school girl.

Currently, he was walking down to the castle gardens with his beautiful man, occasionally pressing small smooches to his cheek. The light of the golden sun graced the couple with its presence. Roman couldn't help but remark on how close to heaven this felt, and how perfect it was to spend time with this man. "You shine in the rays of sun.... I fear I will go blind.

With a light laugh, the man turned to him, smiling. "We have the same face, my love. What's to say you don't outshine me?" Just those romantic words sent Roman blushing and flustered, right into the arms of this gentleman. He couldn't believe how lucky. How could he have the perfect man? Well... he knew the answer to that question, but who would he be if he didn't think sappy thoughts like those?

"I could never outshine you, you're perfect," he replied into the other's chest. They stood for a long while, hugging each other in the garden, surrounded by the lively sound of love and flowers.

Eventually, they pulled away from each other and took to holding hands. Roman stared into his gentleman's perfect chocolatey brown eyes, overcome with the need to spend his life with this man.

"Roman?" He asked sweetly. "Is there something you would like to do, my love?" He smiled, planting tiny smooches on Roman's cheeks, chin, forehead, nose, anywhere he could reach on Roman's face.

The romantic trait giggled and blushed ridiculously. "Let's go back to bed and sleep all day." If there was one fantasy he always enjoyed, it was curling up and sleeping in the arms of a man who loved him with all his heart.

"I wish the other sides would understand you," Roman said wistfully, throwing an arm over his love's shoulders and pulling him into a cuddle on the bed. "It would be such bliss..." A twinge of sadness came over him and he sighed.

His lover looked over to him, but made no movement to comfort. Roman almost rolled his eyes, then pulled the man into a sweet kiss. When they pulled away, he smiled. "You need to comfort me love. You're supposed to be perfect."

The other seemed to understand quickly, because he pulled Roman into another kiss and smiled into it. Then they were hugging and Roman melted into the contact.

"It's alright, love. I know they won't understand me. I wish I could meet them too. Why can't I meet them?" he asked curiously.

This was no use. Suddenly, without any warning to the other in his bed, Roman waved a hand and disappeared, rising up in his room with a heavy heart. He snapped into his pajamas and lay down in his regular bed with a tired exhale. No more of that for now, he would see his gentleman later.

"They won't understand you because you're imaginary, my dear," Roman whispered into his pillow before slipping into a doze.

Roman was not smiling.
