"Revenge" sounds so mean, that's why I prefer to call it "returning the favor" ~unknown

Dear Dylan,

The gang and I were seated as usual on our bench in the park. I had been quiet since the moment we arrived there, only replying when needed. They knew something was up, and soon I would have to tell them the truth.

Looking up at the dark sky above me, I smiled at the shining stars. They reminded me of the times when you and I used to star gaze, then try and see what shapes they'd form. Sighing, I closed my eyes, knowing that every word that would come out would only make it more real.

Opening my eyes again, I glimpsed a shooting star travelling through the sky leaving a golden trail behind. Taking a deep breath, I thought of you and wished that one day we'll end up together again.

"Are you going to tell us what's going on with you now?" Blake asked gently, probably sensing that whatever was wrong affected me deeply, I don't know what hurts more: how Ruby manipulated us, or simply that in a way, I lost you to her.

Bracing myself, I told them everything, re-explaining what happened that day and everything else that went behind the scenes.

I would tell you what their reaction was, but it consisted mostly of shocked look and many cuss words. We were only planning some trick to get her back, but knowing what she had done, it sent us all over the edge.

Whatever will go down, it will be big, and Ruby is going to be exposed no matter what.

After opening up to them, I felt the weight that was previously on my chest lift up, giving me more room to breathe. It's completely nerve wracking to hide all these negative emotions and secrets, and have them eat you from the inside out. Having someone to share everything with, the good and the bad, could easily count as a necessity.

So how did you manage to stay silent for so long? To bare all this burden all on your own?

All I know is that you won't have to anymore.
