20 Days Of | Ex's

"Ex's and the oh, oh, oh's they haunt me
Like gho-o-osts they want me to make 'em all
They won't let go
Ex's and oh's"

"Alisha! Stop jumping on bed and singing like that! You're making my ears bleed."

"Yeah, we'll keep doing what we do
Just pretending that we're cool, so tonight-"

"For Christ's sake...remind me why I love you?"

"We were young when I first saw you, I close my eyes and flashbacks -"

"... I'll go to sleep again, I guess."

Day - 2

Ex

In social relationships, an ex (plural is exes) is someone with whom a person was once associated, in a relationship, marriage, or once talked to.

Seeing you in the school next day, first thing that crossed my mind was that you're no longer my girlfriend. The girl who used hold my hand while walking to class, throw glares at others who tried to flirt with me, who calmed me down from getting into fights, whose one hug could just make my day perfect; that girl is supposedly called my 'ex' right now.

"It's unhealthy to stare at your ex like that," My friend Xavier pulled me away from my statue position of staring at you.

You sat in the farthest corner of cafeteria alone; your friends were talking but you weren't paying attention. Your eyes were fixed on your hands and you were lost in Alisha land. You looked... heartbroken. Weren't you supposed to be heartbreaker here?

You aren't the girl, who used to do crazy jumping on my bed on our sunday mornings singing crappy songs in horrendous voice.

Now, the girl sitting alone is someone else. With a sad expression in eyes, dull face and frown stitched on lips; you are my ex.

And we aren't supposed to care about exes.

Funny right? How you were my entire vocabulary and now you're limited to letter X.
