PS: there's gonna be more specials until the next chapter of the plot for extra suspense. Also! The original story is by Charles Dickens, but I'm using the Disney one (the one with the duck) as a ref of sorts.

"Hey guys."
"Yes Roy?"
"We should do something for Christmas."
Everyone stopped what they were doing and glared at Roy. All around them were props and costumes, and presents and candies. And just a lot of other cool stuff.
"Yeah, Roy, even with all this Christmas things, I also think we should do shit for Christmas," Marth sneered.
Palutena smacked him hard on the face. "Language! There's children around us!"
"You know that's not what I meant! I mean something like us twelve, only, you know? Don't get me wrong, I think it's awesome we're doing this play for orphans, but I kinda wanna do something between the fam, aka us."
"Aw, Roy that's very sweet of you," Peach smiled. "And don't worry, we already have somethings planned out, like a Christmas party! Daisy will be there too." She gave him a little wink as his whole face turned red.
"Good job, dumbass, you ruined the surprise!" Marth groaned.
"What is your problem? Why have you been so grumpy lately?" Link asked.
"I don't like plays."
Practically everyone gasped dramatically.
"What?! Out of all of us, I expected you to love them!" Palutena said.
"I don't know, I don't like 'em, I like musicals though, some of them anyway," Marth shrugged.
"Like?"
"I kinda like Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen is great, Heathers is eh, same with Be More Chill, Les Miserables is fucking gr-"
"The kids are outside," Zelda said as she peaked out the curtain.
"Wait what? We're not ready though," Link said and peaked out the window to make sure it wasn't bad eyesight. Nope there were definitely kids there.
"Oops, probably should've warned you guys that the kids were coming over a little earlier so we could meet them, and even play with them," Palutena said.
"But we have to get ready!" Marth protested.
"Stop being such a Grinch! Come on! We'll give them their presents after the play, now let's go play with some kids," Palutena smiled and walked out the curtains. The others simply groaned and followed after her.
There were a surprising lot of children outside, and that made them very depressed. Seeing so many adorable children without parents, or parents who abandoned them, or who didn't want them, it just kinda made them want to cry.
"Can we adopt them?" Peach whispered to Marth.
"We don't have enough space, otherwise yes," he whispered back.
"I'll fit them in my castle."
"That sounds wrong."
"What? How?"
"Well-"
"Hey you two! Come play," Palutena ordered. Marth and Peach nodded and walked to the edge of the stage, and sat down next to the others.
There was a line of girls and a boy in front of Zelda who were waiting for her to braid their hair like hers. Her long brown hair was in a braid crown, while most of it was down (like in BoTW).
When it was finally the boy's turn, she noticed he was in crutches. Oh, this must be Andrew, she thought. He had long blond hair, his right eye was green, while his left was a dark blue. And he was tall, six feet at least. He didn't seem that much younger than her, probably around seventeen. He also had pointed ears, which gave her the hint that he must be Hylian.
"Hi there, what's your name?" Zelda asked with a smile. She already knew it, but she figured it'd be better for him to tell her.
"Don't act like you don't know it," he said quite rudely.
Ah.
Right. He tends to be rude.
"Sorry, that was mean," he quickly apologized.
Zelda smiled wider. She liked this one. "Don't worry about it, I do know you go by two names though, which one would you prefer me to call you?"
"Logan, obviously," he rolled his eyes. He sighed. "I'm sorry, I know I'm an asshole."
"No you're not," she said. "I like you, want me to braid your hair?"
He was about to respond when a group of boys next to him started snickering.
"Look at him, going to get his hair braided by a girl," one of them said.
"With the long hair, I wouldn't be surprised if he himself were one!"
"What a pussy."
"IM NOT A GIRL!" Logan yelled. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at him. He started breathing heavily, his face flushing. He looked down and limped away.
"Logan wait!" Zelda called out after him.
"I HATE CHRISTMAS AND I HATE ALL OF YOU!" He yelled and limped away faster until he was inside the orphanage.
"What a Grinch," Roy muttered. Zelda smacked him behind his head. She sighed.
"Peach could you take over braiding for me?"
"Yeah of course! Come on ladies!" Peach day we're Zelda was and picked up the first girl.
Zelda quickly ran past the snickering boys, giving them a slightly intensional glare, and marched into the orphanage. She found Logan sitting on one of the tables near the Christmas tree. He noticed her and wiped some tears away from his eyes. She sat next to him and waited for him to be comfortable, not wanting to rush him.
"I don't hate Christmas," he finally said after a while. "And I don't hate you, or your friends, or any of the other kids, it's just they... they make fun of me by calling me a girl. No offense."
"None taken."
"But it hurts, you know? It hurts to be constantly called that and other shit."
"Can you tell me?"
"Well, pussy like you heard, worthless, and telling me my parents didn't want me, when in reality they died in that war in Hyrule a couple years ago."
"They died there too?"
"Too? Your parents are dead?"
"Yeah, you know how the Castle was attacked by the Yigas?"
"I heard about it."
"That's how they died, they were killed as well."
"Oh. I'm sorry. Wait I shouldn't have said that, I know it doesn't help."
"I'm glad."
They stayed silent.
"Look, Logan, you're a strong kid. You've been through so much at such a young age, and look at you! You're still standing. If you can survive a war, you can survive those bullies! And I mean, I'm not telling you to beat them up, but if it's necessary..." she gave him a little wink, to which he laughed.
"Thank you, Zelda," he gave her a smile and a hug. She was a little surprised, but she giggled and hugged him too. She moved away first and gave a wide smile.
"Now let me braid your hair," Zelda said and gently turned him around by his shoulders. She heard the door creak open behind them, and then came a quiet yet deep female voice.
"Logan? Are you okay?" Zelda and Logan turned their heads to the owner. There stood a slightly above average height girl with long black hair that slightly covered her right eye, olive skin, and beautiful silver eyes. Beside her was a really tall guy with dirty blond hair enough to be confused to be brown, and blue eyes. They both looked around Logan's age.
"Eli!" Logan said, a blush creeping up his cheeks. Zelda smirked a little, and that only deepened Logan's blush. "And Noah."
The girl rushed over to him and took his hands in hers, while the guy stood next to them.
"Hey! Don't listen to them! They're just assholes who wish they had hair as fabulous as yours," the girl named Eli said.
"Yeah, I mean hell im sure they're bald underneath those beanies," Noah said.
Logan snickered slightly. "Thanks, hey, I'd like you guys to meet Zelda, my new friend. Zelda, these are my friends Eli and Noah! We've been friends since basically birth, and all our parents died in the war."
That's when Zelda noticed they also had pointed ears.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, your highness. Sorry I'm not in a dress, but I don't do those, or skirts," Eli said.
"Don't you think your being too informal with the princess of Hyrule?" Noah said.
"Oops."
"No it's okay! I like it, thank you," Zelda smiled. She checked her watched and jumped a little. She jumped up from her seat, taking a moment to realize just how tall Noah was, nearly the same as the ceiling, and gave an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry, I have to get going. Gotta get ready for the play."
"But what about the braid?" Logan asked.
"Don't worry, I'm still gonna do it," Zelda winked as she turned for the door, and before she walked out into the snowy fields, she said,
"Enjoy the show!"
