It was the night of a full moon, and disaster was about to come upon the squad! 

Halloween was a fun night. You get to dress up as someone else, and not be judged for once! It's also the night of cavities, where children went from house to house to receive free candy to be eaten in more or less of month's time. 

Houses were decorated with ghosts, spiders, skeletons, graves, and many other things in hope to be the spookiest. Jack-o-lanterns were always fun to make. More often then not, families would go to pumpkin patches to get them. 

The squad was holding a party at their house, which was decorated with everything and anything orange. Graves with skeleton hands coming out of them were in the front and a giant spider was on their roof. The backyard had jack-o-lanterns to provide some light. Chairs were set up with jack-o-lanterns next to them. The sunroom was were all the refreshments were at, along with some snacks. They didn't invite any people, it was a night for them to enjoy themselves. In costumes!

"Pat! Are you done with that stupid drink of yours?" Lucina asked. She was wearing a short navy dress with cat ears and a tail. Thank Peach for that.

"I'm almost done, don't worry," Palutena called from her room. She was dressed up as cupid, for obvious reasons.

A large cauldron floated in front of her, with a green fire underneath it. The lights in her room were completely off, the door was closed, and all kinds of potions sat on her desk. She put her fingers on her lips and smiled wickedly.

"Ufufu, this potion will surely make everyone fall in love with each other," she laughed. She held a bottle of purple liquid over the cauldron. "Now, just one drop of-" Her door suddenly slammed open.

"PALUTENA!"

"AH!" She accidently dropped the whole bottle inside it. She gasped and turned to the cause of this. It was Shulk in his stupid mummy costume.

"What do you want Shulk?!"

"Pit fell down and scrapped his knee!"

"Why are you telling me and not one of the adults down there?"

"Because you're his mom!"

"GET OUT!"

Shulk jumped up and closed the door quickly and ran away. Palutena groaned and turned back to the cauldron. It was no longer a green color like it was supposed to. It was completely purple with a red spiral. She hissed and backed away.

"That can't be anything good," she said quietly. A large mushroom cloud came from it, and all the liquid was gone. Palutena pressed her body against the door and covered her nose. "Ugh, that smell is horrible! What the heck." She opened the door and waved all the smoke out of her room, spreading it all through the house and outside.

"That is definitely nothing good, I wonder what it'll do," she said to herself. She grabbed her potion book and looked at the recipe she was trying to make, and then in the mistakes section. "Let's see, that was a whole bottle of the purple po- oh no. Oh no! OH HECK NO!" She dropped her book and quickly ran to the others.

Everyone was inside, prepping everything up for their so called party. Everything was done, so some of them walked outside, while the rest stayed inside to decorate the house more, or cleaning it.

"Zel, help me put the lantern up there?" Peach asked. She was dressed up as a pink fairy, while Zelda was dressed up as a witch.

"Yeah, sure, just give it to me," Zelda said. Peach handed her the lantern and she hung it on the branch of a tree. They stared at the tree proudly. It was decorated with lanterns, illuminated it.

"Ah, it's so- oh my god what is that smell?! It's disgusting!" Peach gagged slightly and waved her hand around. Zelda sneered and nodded, holding her nose. The others around them started doing the same, so they all met up in the middle.

"Guys! Do you know what that smell is?" Ike asked. He was dressed up as Frankenstein, and he was eating a chicken leg. 

"I don't know but it's burning my nostrils," Samus said. She was dressed in a robot costume, with metal antennas coming from her headband. 

"It makes me want to throw up," Robin said. He was cosplaying in a Ravenclaw robe, fake wand included. Palutena stepped out panting. She looked at them and told them to come back inside before running there herself. They looked at each other then shrugged, and followed her instructions. 

They all sat in the sunroom, anticipating Palutena's explanation about what was happening. They had a hunch the smell was her cause.

"So, what do you have to say for yourself, hm?" Marth asked. He dressed up as a vampire, with fake fangs.

"Yeah, what do have to say for yourself, HMMM?!" Roy imitated. He was a reaper with a skeleton mask. And a scythe. 

"Shut up and let her talk," Link said. And of course, his costume was pretty obvious, he was a wolf.

"Lady Palutena you didn't mess up did you?" Pit asked. He was dressed up as a devil. How contradicting.

"Okay, okay, so, as you all know, I was making some drinks for us-"

"By that you mean one of your stupid love potions?" Samus asked.

"W-what?! Nooo, of course not! Anyway, the recipe was going fine, until I accidently dropped the whole bottle of something, and-"

"Let me guess, you weren't supposed to?" Marth groaned.

"N-nooo," Palutena said quietly. "And this may or may not have some effects on us since we all breathed it in."

"Like?"

"Like, making us what... our... costumes are," Palutena's voice got higher and quieter as she prepared herself to me yelled at.

"WHAT?!" They all yelled.

"I know! But it'll wear off by sunrise I promise!" Palutena smiled.

"So wait, when is this gonna start happening?" Link asked.

"Right now," Palutena said. They raised an eyebrow and looked down at themselves. They let out a small shriek when they realized that they weren't the same.

Marth's skin was very pale, practically white; his eyes were red, and his fangs were real. Zelda didn't look much different, aside from the fact her nails were longer, her eyes were red, and all the two brooms in the house suddenly were attracted to her. Samus was completely made out of metal but she looked like herself with normal clothes, almost like some animatronic. Pit had horns coming out of his head and a tail. And his wings had no feathers. 

Link looked surprisingly normal, only his clothes were different. Ike was literally Frankenstein, and his skin had turned slightly green. Stiches kept his limbs together. Peach was a small glowing pink fairy. Robin had glasses and  his wand was now real. Lucina was a small navy cat, and she was terrified. Palutena was the size of Pit with real love arrows strapped on her back. Shulk still had some of his hair, and he was completely wrapped in bandages. Like Ike, his skin was slightly green. Roy was now a skeleton with a real soul-reaping scythe.

"Huh, this is, interesting to say the least," Marth said. Oh he also had the accent. It wasn't that strong, but it was definitely there.

"At least I'm normal!" Link smirked.

"Oh really? Well good thing tonight's a full moon!" Samus said with her now robotic voice. She opened the curtains, letting the moonlight pour into the room.

"Oh fu-" He didn't get to finish his sentence when  bunch little black squares consumed him. Once they cleared out, there was black with a hint of green and white wolf sitting on the floor. It whined and rested on the floor.

"I don't want to be a devil! I'm an angel!" Pit whined. "But at least I can fly."

Robin picked up Lucina (remember, she's a cat) and laid her down on his lap. "Aw, cute kitty." Lucina purred as Robin patted her head.

"Now I can steal the ladies' souls," Roy smirked. It was very creepy considering he was a skeleton.

"Urgh... huh? blargh! Hargh!" Shulk groaned.

"So now you're in-game Link, huh, Shulk?" Palutena smirked. She was flying in place with her wings.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm hungry for some brains!" Ike growled and put his arms up, about to wrap them around Marth. He kicked his stomach, sending Ike to the floor. He groaned and glared up at Marth. "It was joke! I'm pretty sure Frankenstein doesn't eat brains!"

"Whatever, don't get any ideas though," Marth said.

"Says the person who drinks blood!"

"You're right on that, I do have a strange lust for blood," Marth said. 

"Don't you dare," Zelda said when she noticed Marth about to bite her neck. He looked at her, then at her neck, then back at her, then he quickly moved away, covering his mouth.

"I'm so sorry! I did not even know I was doing that!" He quickly apologized. Zelda eyed him then turned her attention to the wolf sitting in front of her.

"How about we all go outside? I mean, we have more realistic costumes, to say the least, now,  we might as well enjoy it," she recommended.

"Yep! Sure, just let me do something real quick," Palutena said as she very obviously pointed an arrow at her. She easily dodged it. Palutena sighed and flew outside. The others followed close behind her. 

Samus turned on the music and blasted it through the speakers. They danced for a while before going to sit down either outside or by the sunroom. Peach flew around Marth as they picked out what to eat.

"Want a lollipop?" Marth asked and held a red one up to her. Peach looked at it then at Marth and raised an eyebrow. He chuckled. "Don't worry, it's peach flavored."

"Hey!" She said, her voice a lot squeakier now that she was a small fairy.

"I'm joking, it's cherry flavored." 

"Hey listen now, don't you play tricks on me!" Peach giggled. She gladly took it and Marth slowly let go of it. When he fully let go of it, she shut her eyes tightly, before plummeting to the ground. Marth was quick and cupped her in his hands. Thankfully she was small enough to fit in them. He stood up straight and held her up close to his face, looking to see if she was hurt.

"You alright?" He asked.

"I'm fine," Peach sighed. She flew up to Marth's cheek and placed a small kiss on it. "Thank you for saving me. I'll get the lollipop later." She gave him a wink before flying away. Marth stared after her and blinked.

"Y-you're welcome," He smiled. He felt a nudge on his arm and looked to his side to see a skeleton in a black robe. "Screw off, skinny."

Samus and Ike were handling the music, making sure no one changed it. Then Samus got an idea. She turned to Ike and put her cold hands on his face. Ike somehow felt his cheeks get warm and faced her.

"I-is something wrong?" He asked. Samus looked at his neck and smirked when her realization was correct. She pulled Ike's head close to her until it wasn't in his body anymore. Literally.

"Hey everyone! I got Ike's head!" Samus grinned and held it up proudly. Ike was too dazed to even realize what was going on. His body however, was reaching for its head. Samus threw it around so it couldn't catch it.

"Pass it over here!" Roy yelled and she did. He caught it in his boney hands and smirked at it. Ike rolled his eyes and he was back and aware of everything. "Hey bud."

"What the hell?! Get me back to my body!" Ike's head yelled. Roy looked up with his seemingly glowing eyes and saw Ike's body running towards them. He smirked and dodged his body then threw it back to Samus, who caught it.  So for the next ten minutes they played a game of monkey in the middle with Ike yelling at the both of them. They kept playing until his body gave up and knelt on the ground.

"Alright I think he's had enough," Samus laughed as she caught Ike's head again. She turned it to look at her as she walked to his body. "We're sorry, we were just having some fun!"

"But why with my head?" Ike asked as she placed his head back on his body. The stiches around his neck connected with the ones on his head. 

"Just thought it'd be funny," Samus smiled and patted his head before walking back to the music booth. Ike pouted and crossed his arms, but then chuckled and smiled to himself a little.

Zelda was sitting on a chair near a tree, watching the wolf and the mummy play together. It was a very weird sight to say the least. Suddenly the wolf stopped and turned his head to her and started growling, showing his sharp teeth. He ran to her and stood in a battle stance. She noticed he wasn't looking at her, but instead behind her. She turned her head only for Marth to be dangerously close to her neck, his fangs right up against it. He looked at her then at her neck, then at the wolf, and backed away.

"Really Marth?" Zelda asked. She sighed and murmured, "this is Twilight all over again. ugh." She shuddered at the thought. She was lucky he didn't hear her, Marth was a fan of Twilight.

"I'm sorry! I can't help it!" He whined. "I know this is gonna sound weird, but your blood smells good."

"Oh my... look, you want blood? There's some in the sunroom, in the small cups with fangs on them," Zelda said.

"Really?! Well bye bye now!" Marth grinned and ran away. Zelda sighed and rested her head on her hand. The wolf walked up to her and nudged her arm. Zelda looked at him and smiled. She scratched the back of his ear with her other hand.

"Don't worry, it's not blood, it's some wine Lucina bought. It's not too strong, he shouldn't get too intoxicated," Zelda reassured him. "You know, you make a pretty cute wolf, Link." His ears perked up and he smiled. Zelda laughed and scratched his head. He tilted his head to the side, and his tail started to wag back and forth. He rested his head on Zelda's lap, panting happily the more she scratched.

"You're cute," Zelda smiled. He walked up in front of her and put his head on her lap again, almost asking for more scratching. She laughed and used both of her hands to scratch the back of both of his ears. He let out a small howl and his tail wagged back and forth quicker.

"You're both cute," Palutena flew up to them and sat next to Zelda. "When are you gonna get together? Need some help? I could use some arrows!"

"Palutena..."

"Soon," Palutena smirked and flew inside without another word. Zelda rolled her eyes and continued to play with Link.

"You want what?" Pit asked.

"Blargh... huh... guh," Shulk grunted, pointing at a soda can. Pit nodded and handed it to him.

"Sorry, it's kinda hard considering you only grunt," Pit said. "I wonder if this is how the NPCs feel with Link in the games."

"Ugh," Shulk nodded. They sat on the grass and drank up their sodas. "Ugh... ah...huh...fu..."

"What?" Pit asked. Shulk let out a small groan and pointed at Pit's wings, then at his horns, and finally his tail. "Oh, how does it feel to be a devil?"

"Hyah," Shulk nodded. 

"Well, it's weird that's for sure. I mean, I'm an angel! I'm supposed to be pure, I guess you could say, but I sure don't feel any purity anymore," Pit described. "Plus, this tail and these horns are annoying! The only good thing is that I can actually fly with these wings. I don't... really... want to...though..." He suddenly became very drowsy and his eyes became heavier, until he fell asleep while still sitting. 

"Ugh? Ugh!" Shulk grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him, but it wasn't working. He started feeling drowsy himself and eventually fell asleep too, his head leaning on Pit's shoulder. 

Palutena came outside, panting heavily and leaning against the door frame. She ran to Samus and turned off the music then ran to the middle.

"Everyone I may have made a mistake!" Palutena yelled.

"What did you do now?" Marth groaned.

"I was trying to reverse this quicker, but instead... I..." Palutena passed out half way through what she was saying.

"Palutena!" Robin said when he also fell asleep, a sleeping Lucina still on his lap.

"No, don't tell me that she made a sleeping potion," Marth face palmed. He felt something land on his shoulder, and quickly realized it was Peach. Then he passed out too.

"Goodnight, my bros!" Roy gave a quick peace sign before falling asleep on a couch.

"Oh great, everyone's gonna fall asleep except- hey!" Samus yelped when Ike's sleeping body suddenly fell on top of her, pushing them both to the ground. She tried getting him off her, but then she passed out too.

The wolf looked around at all his sleeping friends, when he felt something weigh him down. He looked back and saw Zelda sleeping peacefully on his back. He somehow felt his cheeks heat up, before falling into a deep sleep himself.

Morning came, and all of the them were still outside, passed out. Palutena was first to wake up. She sleepily rubbed her eyes and looked around her. She looked down at herself and sighed in relief when she saw she was back to normal. She squealed as she noticed that most of her ships were sleeping next to each other. She let out a small 'aw' when she saw Pit and Shulk.

"Heheh, mission, partially accomplished!"
