"What did I miss? What did I miss?" Palutena asked as she came back with bags of Chinese food in her hands.

"I though we were done with the musical references," Marth muttered, his whole face completely red.

"First of all, unintentional reference, second, we will never be done with musical references, and third, seriously what did I miss?" Palutena asked.

The group looked at each other then they looked back at Palutena, clearly somewhat embarrassed.

"And what the heck happened to the park?!" She screamed. She looked around her and the whole park was, well, on fire.

"It's  Roy's fault!" Marth said, pointing to the red head.

"Snitch," Roy coughed.

"Bitch," Marth coughed back.

"You wanna go?!"

"Jake Paul wanna be."

"That's it, you going down motherfu-!"

"Don't," Zelda glared. That was enough to stop them. She was surprisingly calm for all that was going on around them.

"I was gone to get some food for everyone, and I come back to the whole park on fire?! What the hell is wrong with you people?!" Palutena yelled.

"Ey, ey, ey! Before you start yelling, let us explain," Samus said. "Link and Zelda you start. With your cute little moment you had."

"Wait what?" Link said. "You guys know about that?!"

"Of course we do! You think we don't spy on you?" Marth said.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Link said.

"We had nothing to do with the destruction of the park," Zelda said.

"Maybe not, but your story is still adorable," Peach said.

"Um, I'm not sure-"

"Fine."

*Twenty minutes earlier (rip Stephen Hillenburg)*

Link and Zelda were over by the flowrider. You know those things they have at some water parks where it's like, you'reon a surf board and there's water there so it seems like you're actually surfing? Yeah those things. It was their turn to get on, so they grabbed to surfboards and waited for the water to start.

"I bet I'm gonna last longer," Link said.

"Keep dreaming," Zelda said. "If I can walk and run in heels, I can do this."

"We'll see about that," Link smirked. Both of them got in position, just as the water started up. They kept surfing around, until one of them fell. It's pretty obvious who it was.

"Told ya," Zelda said with a slight smirk.

"Oh shut up," Link smirked. He then shook his head like a dog, splashing all the water in his hair on Zelda.

"Stop!" Zelda laughed, using her hands to cover her face. They laughed together as they walked back to their chairs to rest up a bit, when all of a sudden, some girl with short black hair and a really revealing bikini stepped in front of them. Both of them stopped laughing.

"Hey that was a pretty good surf," she said while biting her lip. It was clearly directed to Link then to both of them.

"Oh uh, thanks!" Link smiled awkwardly. He was starting to feel a little uncomfortable. What is this girl doing? He thought.

Zelda, meanwhile, got a weird feeling in her chest and stomach. She was getting a little angry, seeing this girl clearly trying to flirt with Link seeing that she was there.

"You know, you'd be better with that nice bod of yours, I can help you out if you want," the girl said. Zelda's eyes widen and a sudden spark to do something she would have never done before lit up within her.

The girl was about to touch Link's chest, when Zelda took Link's hand and pulled him closer to her and out of reach of the girl, surprising all three of them. Link's face became immediately red, feeling her surprisingly cold hand in his.

Zelda herself couldn't believe what she had just done, and she had to take a moment to process things before blurting our something she knew she would regret later.

"He's taken."

What the hell did I just say?!

Link's whole face became red, including the tip of his ears. He looked down at their hands, then up to Zelda, but she wasn't looking back at him. He did notice her cheeks were a little pink though.

"Oh, sorry," the girl gave Zelda a slight glare before walking away. The two of them just kind of stood there for bit, Link on the verge of having a panic attack while Zelda still figuring out what she had just done.

After Link had calmed himself down a little, he said, "um, Zel, what was that about?" To be honest, Zelda herself had no idea what had just happened. She let go of his hand, much to Link's disappointment, because he started to like it there, and stepped away from him, her back facing him.

"She was flirting with you and you seemed uncomfortable, so knowing you wouldn't do anything because you're a nice person, I stepped in," Zelda said. That seemed to convince Link, but it didn't seem to convince herself. There was something else there, she was sure of it, but she didn't know what.

"Wait she was trying to flirt with me?! I had no idea!" Link gasped, genuinely surprised. That ticked off Zelda for some reason. She turned her head to him, hitting him with a hard glare that had him petrified.

(A/N: excuse my terrible handwriting, and also my little to none knowledge of the male body. Also those dark lines on Link's body are scars).

They stood there, staring at each other, until Zelda turned her head forward again. She didn't know why, but she was on the verge of crying.

"Excuse me," was all she muttered before walking away to the bathroom.

Link stood there, and started to think of something. He was sure he was wrong, but, he thought she meant something deeper when she said that.

Did, did Zelda...

Like him?

Too?

*Back to the present ooooooo~*

"Okay, that's adorable, I'm not angry at that, now please continue," Palutena said.

"Should we tell her how Robin and Samus we're almost murdered by Lucina and Ike?" Peach said.

"Well you already brought it up so now we're gonna have to," Marth sighed.

"Please, explain," Palutena said.

*fifteen minutes earlier*

"Omg that's so cute!" Peach squealed.

"Can you not use that in the real world?" Samus glared.

"Nope! But look! Zelda got jelly!" Peach grinned. Samus groaned and rolled her eyes.

"Hey Sam wanna go to the pool? The others are over there," Robin said.

"If it means getting away from these two idiots then yes please," Samus said.

"Okay bye sis!" Marth waved.

Samus and Robin walked over to the pool, and joined Ike and Lucina there. They stood by a slide, which was already a bad idea as Pit was just about to go down it.

"Hey Robin you're a book expert, anything you think may be good for me?" Samus asked.

"Hm, well, I did see this book about vampires and werewolves-"

"READY OR NOT HERE I COME!" Before he could even finish his sentence, Pit came crashing down into the pool, pushing Samus into Robin and uh, let's just say their hands went to where they're not supposed to be, especially since they're not partners. But their actual partners were there, and earned death glares from both of them.

"What are you doing to my man?" Lucina asked, as she kind of just took out her sword from no where.

"Die, fucker," Ike said, as he also took out his massive sword. Wait. Stop. Not THAT type of sword. Like an ACTUAL sword. The one he uses in smash. Wait no, the one he uses in Smash Brothers. Wait that still sounds- the one he uses to play. Fu-

*Back to present again ooooo~*

"Man I would've loved to see a beat up Samus and Robin," Palutena sighed happily.

"Gee thanks," Samus glared. "Thankfully Zelda stopped them though.

"Only because the chaos had already started," Zelda said.

"What do you mean?"

"The final story is how this place went up in flames."

*last one I swear, fifteen minutes earlier*

Roy, Pit, and Shulk stood above the biggest slide in the whole park, The Puzzle. Creative. Roy had a look of determination, Pit a look of fear, and Shulk a look of... not giving a shit.

"Alright, you boys ready?!" Roy asked the two.

"Whatever," Shulk said and sat down on the ground, opening a book he had brought.

"I'm not sure, it looks scary," Pit said.

"Great! You first!" Roy smirked and pushed Pit down the slide.

"Roy you aaaAAAAAHHHHH!!" Pit screamed as he went down faster on the slide. Roy snickered and then looked at Shulk, who simply gave him the middle finger without looking up from his book. Roy decided not to test him.

"Okay! My turn in that case!" Roy smiled and threw himself head-first down the slide. There were a bunch of twist and turns, and not only that, but it was pitch black in there. And that sure added to the spooky level. When he finally reached the bottom, he felt something slip off him. Which he found a little weird. He looked down on himself, and realized. Oh shit, my pants slipped off. He quickly covered himself with his hands and swam up to the surface, and frantically looked around for his pants. Then he found them. In the hands of an angel.

Literally.

"Looking for these?" Pit smirked.

"Give them back!" Roy whisper-yelled.

"Nope," Pit smirked and flew away, his wings already dry from coming down.

"Hey! Get back here with my pants!" Roy yelled and without thinking twice, got out of the pool, uncovering his nether region to grab his sword. Actual sword. Steel swo- you know what, not getting into that again.

He began trying to attack Pit with a bunch of his fire moves, which made almost everything catch on fire. Thankfully, the rest were able to get innocent people out of there before it was to let.

In the end, Roy ended up burning his own pants, leaving him to wrap a towel around himself.

And that kids, is why you don't go down slides headfirst.

Life hack.

*kay back to the present now*

Palutena had to take a bunch of deep breaths in order not to kill Roy mercilessly. That much damage was going to cause a whole lot.

"You! You people destroyed my park!" The owner came, yelling at them.

"I know, we're so sorry miss, we'll pay for everything-"

"Dang right you are! Here's the bill!" The owner shoved a receipt in Palutena's hands. She didn't even dare look, already knowing it was going to cost millions.

"Roy we're using your money."

"Hey!"

***

It was three AM and everyone was back at home. Almost everyone was asleep, well except for two.

Zelda walked down stairs to the living room, unable to sleep like most nights. She was surprised to find the light on. Usually she was the only one there at those hours.

"Hello? Who's there?" She asked with a little worry.

"Oh, sorry did I wake you up?" The person sitting on the couch turned around, and she quickly realized it was Link. She took in a sharp breath. She had been trying to avoid him since what happened in the park. Well that was foiled now.

"No, I usually come here at night anyway," Zelda said, grabbing one of the many blankets on the floor and wrapping it around herself.

"You do? If you don't mind me asking, why?" Link said.

"I can't sleep."

"I know that much, but why can't you sleep?"

"..."

"You don't have to answer if you don't feel comforta-"

"Nightmares."

"H-Huh?"

"Nightmares. It's near the anniversary of my parents' death, and I usually get nightmares around that time."

"Oh. I'm sorry."

"Don't say that."

"Why not?"

"Because you're not. Everyone says that. They never mean it. Someone close to you dies? Everyone around you starts apologizing when they didn't even know them. They don't know what it feels like to lose that person. They don't know how close they were to you. They just say it to be polite, but it doesn't help. At all."

He was shocked. Her tone had meanness all over it, but he was sure she didn't mean to sound it. He also realized she was right. And that he had someone to relate to.

"I do know what it feels like," he said. "To lose someone close to you."

"You do?" She asked.

"Yeah. My whole family, which was just my parents and my older brother died when I was younger in a battle to protect Ordon."

"Is that how you got all those scars?"

"Not all, but yeah. Some of them were from other battles and others were from training."

"Did... did it happen while Hyrule was at war with the Yiga?"

He swallowed hard.

"Yeah. Is that how your parents died? I heard Hyrule Castle was attacked during the war."

She wiped some tears that were threatening to fall.

"Yeah," her voice broke, "and it was all my fault."

"What?"

"We... we were in one of the save chambers, and I, I was crying so damn loudly! Then one of the Yiga members found us! And... and in order to protect me, my parents," she sobbed, "they stepped in front of the spear that was coming straight towards me, and it struck both of them at once."

Link frowned and pulled her close to him, tightly wrapping his arms around her and keeping her head close to his chest. She grabbed onto his shirt tightly, and sobbed.

"It's my fault, Link! I killed them, it's my fault they're dead!"

"No it's not-"

"Yes it is! I was so loud, they probably heard us from a mile away-"

"Zelda!" She stopped talking, slightly shocked that he nearly yelled. He cleared his throat. "It wasn't your fault. You were what, ten? You were still a child! You had no idea what was going on at the time, and neither would any child at that age. I mean heck I'm two years older than you and I still had no idea what was going on. Plus, it was a save room right? Aren't save rooms sound proof?"

Oh. Oh my goddess. I didn't even think of that.

"I... yeah they are."

"Then they probably hacked into the save room, or something. They could not have heard you no matter how loud you were."

"So... that means..."

He put his hand on her cheek and looked down at her, and she looked up at him.

"It wasn't your fault Zelda, it never was or has been. So please, don't blame yourself for it anymore. I hate to see you suffering because of it."

He slowly started leaning in, glancing at her plump pink lips that looked ever so soft, then back at her gunmetal blue eyes. He noticed she was leaning in too.

"Link..."

"Zelda... I-"

"What's with all the damn crying? You watching the...Notebook... or... some...thing..." Marth stopped mid-sentence when he saw Link and Zelda near each other, just about to. "OH MY GOD I JUST INTERRUPTED A ZELINK MOMENT WHAT HAVE I DONE?!"

Link looked at Marth, then at Zelda, and realized what he was just about to do. The mistake he was about to commit if Marth hadn't interrupted. He immediately pushed Zelda away gently by her shoulders, and met her shocked and slightly disappointed stare.

"I... I think I'm gonna take a walk," Link quickly stood up and walked to the door, not bothering to change out of his slippers into his sneakers. He slammed the door behind him.

Zelda stares after him, worry filling her up immediately. Did he not feel the same suddenly? Or did he never and he decided to show it then? Was that why he seemed so shook?

"Were, were you two about to..?" Marth asked, not daring to finish the question.

"Yeah... I think we were, but I guess he didn't want to," she whispered that last part. "Please don't tell."

"Zip it, lock it, put it in my pocket," he gestured. Zelda smiled and scoffed, but that didn't cure the sudden pain she felt in her heart.

***

"I was just about to kiss the princess of Hyrule, what was I thinking?" Link whispered to himself. "I mean, she was leaning in too so she probably wanted it too. Right? Or am I just thinking this all wrong? Yep that's probably it no way she would want to kiss a lame ass farmer like me. Right? Ugh I'm so confused! I wanna kill my-"

"Young man! Help please!" He heard a deep voice calling from a rather shady street. It had started to snow a while ago, so it was hard to see, but he could see a dark figure kneeling on the ground next to a building. There was something dripping from their stomach. He immediately ran over to them, careful not to slip on the snow.

"Holy crap!" He kneeled in front of them, gently putting his hands on their shoulders. "Are you okay? What happened? Who hurt-" His eyes went wide as he felt something big and sharp go through his stomach. He looked down. There was a huge knife going though him. He coughed up a little blood. He followed the hand up to person's face, meeting their creepy smirk. And their blood eyes. They took the knife out of him and stood up. Link dropped to the ground, completely unable to move.

"So it begins."
