Just Go To Sleep

Zelda was starting to get slightly uncomfortable. Marth had been staring at her the whole day, no matter what he was doing, he was staring at her. In the kitchen? Yep, he was staring. On the couch? Mhm, he was looking at her. In the bathroom? She was sure he had some way.

She was reading in the living room, and she could just feel Marth's stare all the way from the kitchen. She tried just focusing on her book, but she couldn't when she knew Marth was staring at her. She sighed and put her book down and turned to Marth. He didn't look away, however, he still stared at her. She almost raised an eyebrow at him.

"Can I help you, Marth?" She asked. Marth stopped what he was doing and walked to her. He stopped in front of her and furrowed his eyebrows. She looked up at him, wondering what the heck was wrong with him.

"You need to smile," Marth said.

"Huh?" She looked at Marth as he put his pointer fingers at the corners of her mouth. He then raised them a little, forcing a smile. He grinned widely and laughed.

"GUYS! I MADE ZELDA'S SMILE!" Marth called. Immediately, everyone came in to the living room, shoving each other out of the way to see first. "Hold on, people! I'll move out of the way so you can see her." He moved to the side and they all smiled widely, but then their faces dropped.

"She's not actually smiling, Marth," Peach pouted. "You're making her."

"Close enough though, right?" Marth said. They all shook their heads and glared at him. Marth sighed. "I say we have a sleep over, and that way we can get her to smile."

"Let go," Zelda said and bit one of Marth's fingers. He winced and backed away.

"Sheesh, you have strong teeth," Marth hissed and rubbed his finger.

"SLEEP OVER! Roy! Get the popcorn! Link! Get the movies! Samus! Go get my makeup from my room! Let's have a great sleep over, everyone," Peach smiled.

"AYE!"

"I'd prefer to just stay in my room," Zelda said. Lucina grabbed her wrist and dragged her to her room.

"Nope! You're staying with us," Lucina smirked. She walked to Zelda's closet looking for some good PJs. Zelda groaned slightly and laid on her stomach. Lucina looked back at her, surprised and then glared at her.

"What is up with you lately?" Lucina asked. "You've been staying in your room a lot lately, and it's kinda worrying me." Zelda glanced at her and then covered her eyes with her arm.

"I'm sorry, I've just been kinda stressed," Zelda said. Lucina pouted, sat on her bed and put her hand on Zelda's other hand.

"Could you tell me why? Maybe I could help," Lucina said and gave her a sincere smile. She sat up and looked down.

"My friend from the castle, Lucy, she's been dealing with cancer for two years now," Zelda said. "She got hospitalized last week, and her condition got a lot worse. I'm still waiting on news of her."

Lucina gasped and hugged her tightly. "I'm sorry! If you don't want to go to the sleep over, you don't-"

"No, it's okay, maybe it'll do me some good. Possibly even distract me," Zelda said. Lucina smiled and hugged her again.

"Well then, let's find you some-"

"HERE'S THE PAJAMAS!" Peach stormed through the door and handed them their PJs. She flashed them a smile and walked out the door.

"Pokémon... onesies?" Lucina asked, looking at the yellow onesie she held in her hand.

"Looks like we're gonna be a pack of Pikachu," Zelda said.

"Marth? What's this movie?" Roy asked, showing him the case. It had a doll looking at him menacingly, with a knife. Marth gasped and snatched it away from Roy and hid it from him.

"Where did you find this movie?!" Marth asked.

"In Samus' room."

"AND WHO GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO GO INTO MY ROOM?!" Samus yelled.

"Myself."

"You-"

"Calm down Sam, it is Roy after all," Ike said. Samus looked at him and sighed, not before giving Roy a death glare.

"Anyway, can we watch the movie?"

"No way, it's too scary for you kiddies."

"I AM A TEENAGER!" Pit and Roy yelled. Marth covered his ears and groaned. He nodded and plopped the CD in. He then looked at Roy and Pit with complete seriousness.

"Alright, we'll watch the movie, but if you come crying to me you're scared, we're never watching a horror movie again," Marth said. They both nodded eagerly and snuggled in their blankets. Marth sighed and pressed play.

***

By the end of the movie, Roy and Pit were both shaking furiously, but they had proud smiles. Marth groaned and rolled his eyes and went to get more popcorn.

"S-see? T-that w-w-wasn't scary?" Pit stuttered.

"O-of course n-not! Who w-would be afraid of a k-killer doll?" Roy said.

"Boo!" Roy and Pit screeched and jumped back, shaking even more. They looked behind them and saw Ike laying on the floor, laughing hysterically.

"IKE YOU ASSHOLE!" Roy yelled. Ike wheezed and kept laughing. Pit was frozen with fear, not moving a single muscle.

"I... can't... breath!" Ike gasped between laughs. The others just stared at them, with a little disappointment at their immature nature. They sighed and popped in The Notebook, by Peach and Palutena's popular demand. The movie merely started and she was already crying. They groaned once they realized that it was going to be a long night.

***

"They died together! They loved each other so much they died together!" Palutena cried and wiped her tears with a tissue. Lucina rubbed her back, wiping a few tears as well.

"Sheesh, that was an emotional ride," Samus said. Peach was simply bawling on Zelda's shoulder. Zelda had gotten bored half way through the movie and got herself a book.

"Marth, come on, have some pride man," Ike said. Marth was laying down on the floor, clutching onto a pillow, crying like a baby.

"They're cute okay?! How do you expect me to not cry?!" Marth yelled.

"I don't blame him, that ending killed me," Link said, clutching onto his shirt. There was a sudden ding coming from the counter. They all raised their heads a little, thinking if it was theirs.

"Sorry, that's me," Zelda said. She moved Peach away a little and carefully walked to the kitchen counter, careful not to step on anyone. She grabbed her phone from the pile and opened it up. A message from Lucy. She quickly opened to their chat room, excited that she finally had some news. She gasped and quickly covered her mouth. Her friends all turned to her, all of them looked shocked.

"Zel, did you just?" Shulk started. Zelda looked at them, her eyes were wide. She dropped her phone and ran to her room and slammed the door behind her.

"Zelda?!" She heard Link call her. She heard multiple people walk upstairs so she quickly locked the door and jumped on her bed.

"Zel? Zellie? Are you okay?" She heard Peach ask. They were all calling her name, with extreme worry.

"Go away," Zelda whined. She just wanted to be alone. But she also wanted some company. It was weird.

"Zel, we just want to help you! We don't know what's going on, but, we wanna help," Ike said. Zelda closed her eyes and unlocked the door. She opened the door and grabbed the first person she touched and pulled them in, then closing the door on the rest. They sighed and walked away, leaving it all up to Link.

"You okay Zel?" Link asked. He walked over to her and sat next to her on her bed. Zelda looked up at him, her face stained with tears.

"No, Link, does it look like I'm okay?" Zelda asked. Link shook his head and hugged her.

"It's okay, could you tell me what happened?" Link asked, moving his hand up and down her back as she sobbed into his chest. It really didn't make the situation better that they were in Pikachu onesies.

"My only friend... from the castle... she's been dealing with cancer for years," Zelda started. "She got hospitalized last week, and I just found out she died an hour ago!"

Link hugged her tighter and closer to his chest. "It's okay, Zel, don't cry. I bet she wouldn't like it if you cried for her, I bet she wants you to be strong! She probably wants you to be strong for her, so don't cry, please."

"You're right, I'm sorry," Zelda whispered.

"No, don't apologize," Link said. She sounded really tired, but he also didn't want to leave her in case she began crying again. So, he laid down on her bed, with Zelda's head on his chest. He pulled the blankets over both of them and quickly kissed her head.

"It's okay, Zel, just go to sleep, I'll be here."
