Bonus Chapter: The Next Generation

He slowly stood from his bed in the castle. He sighed, smiling. He grabbed the envelope he had put on his dresser the night before. He opened it up, just to make sure he had memorized the address correctly. Smash Ball House, 1999 Master Avenue, Smashville, yes, I was right, he thought. There was a sudden knock at his door, and he didn't even need to ask to know who it was.

"Hurry up, Luke, we're leaving in an hour," he heard his little sister say.

"I know, I know," he said. "Are you ready, Zeldie?" He smirked to himself, imagining the annoyed look on his sisters face.

"Stop that, it's annoying. Mom is Zelda, I'm Lily," she said.

"You're gonna have to go by Zelda when mom dies, you know?"

"Shut up, I don't want to imagine that. Now move your ass and get ready, you stupid mage!"

"Alright alright, sword lady!" He laughed as he heard her walk away, or better said stomping away.

He stretched his arms as he walked to the bathroom and did his business. He considered whether or not to leave his hair down, quickly deciding to tie it up since it was his first time meeting everyone. He wanted to look nice and formal after all.

After getting dressed, he grabbed his luggage and was out the door in an instant.

***

He stopped to have breakfast in the dinning room, accompanied by his sister. He ruffled her brown hair with blonde tips, in an attempt to annoy her. It worked.

"Dammit Luke! I spent an hour on my hair!" She yelled, trying to pat it back down.

"Now, now, what's the problem?" Both of them turned to the large wooden doors as their mother walked in, a sweet smile on her face.

"Mom! Luke's screwing up my hair!" Lily whined.

"I'm just trying to make it look better," Luke snickered.

"Now now, Luke," their mother said, taking a seat next to her son. "Be good to your sister, I won't be there to stop you too from fighting."

"Alright, I apologize. Where's father?" Luke asked.

"Training the knights."

"This early? Will he be here to say goodbye at least?"

"I'm afraid not, he's training the new ones."

"You mean those weaklings?"

"Lily!"

"Whatever, we have to go. Now!" Lily took her brother's arm and dragged him out of his chair, not before he could grab a piece of toast.

"We'll call as soon as we can, ma!" Lily called out.

"Wish us luck!" Luke said.

"Good luck!" Their mother yelled. Then, once they were out of the room, Zelda smiled and whispered, "You'll need it."

***

Luke and Lily stood just outside the house, admiring it from a distance. They wiped their clothes quickly, then did a double check on everything.

"Boot's clean?" Lily asked. They both looked down at their nearly matching brown boots.

"Check," Luke said. "Crown placed correctly?"

"Mine's in my bag."

"Same with mine, soooo... check."

"We're early right?"

"Yeah, I doubt any one else is here."

"You never know, bro, you never know."

Luke rolled his eyes at his sister and waved their driver goodbye. They walked up to the front door, and he was about to knock when the door opened. On the other side, a tall, kinda scrawny looking guy stood. He had blue hair, and wore a blue turtleneck, pink shorts and Gucci slides. He had a smug grin on his face as he leaned against the door frame.

"Hello there, lovelies," he said. "Nice to know I'm not the royal here."

Luke, with his fist still in the air that was about to knock, turned to his sister and whispered, "I think we got the wrong house."

"Let's go then," Lily whispered. They were about to turn around when the guy hurriedly put his hands on their shoulders.

"WAIT!" He screeched. They both stopped, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Um, you good bro?" Lily asked.

"Yes, sorry, I get a little excited when guest come," the guy said.

"A little?" Lily murmured. Luke slapped her arm discretely. Lily hissed and rubbed the spot.

"Roy Mark Toadstool at your service," the guy did a quick bow then stood up straight again. "You can call me Mark."

"I'm Luke Harkinia, and this is my little sister, Zelda Lily Harkinia," Luke introduced, earning a cold glare from Lily.

"I told you to only introduce me as Lily," she growled. Luke ignored her.

"Oh you must be Queen Zelda and Prince Link's offspring, right?" Mark asked.

"Yeah yeah yeah, can we come in now? I'm tired," Lily yawned.

"Stop being rude!" Luke hissed.

"How am I being rude?"

"Do I need to explain?"

"Well yeah cause I don't see how I am."

"You-"

"Okay okay okay! Relax! Please come right in, I have some tea and cookies waiting in the sunroom," Mark smiled and moved away from the door to let me in.

"Ooo! Food!" Lily grinned and ran in, going upstairs rather quickly. "I can choose any room, right?"

"Yep! Just make sure to close the door after you're done!" Mark yelled.

"Sorry about her," Luke sighed.

Mark laughed. "Nah, it's good man. Go unpack, we're expecting a few more guests after all!"

"They're not really guests, more like roommates-"

"Go unpack!"

"Okay okay! Yeesh."

***

"No. Way."

"Yes way!"

"You got to meet Jammes Harles?"

"Hell yeah I did!"

"Sis, you gotta show me the pictures!"

Luke sat awkwardly between Mark and Lily as she proceeded to show him pictures of her next to the make up guru. He remembered that day. He remembered that oh so painful day. They were sitting in the sunroom, drinking some tea, and then, by a miracle, he heard the doorbell ring.

"I'll get it!" Luke shot up from his seat and ran away. Mark and Lily gave him a look, then turned back to each other.

Luke opened to door, smiling widely at what he hoped to be his new friends, but it slowly faded when he caught the sight of a blonde and blue haired beauty. He shook his head, snapping out of his daze, and smiled again. Next to her, a tall guy, buffer than Mark for sure, with blue hair stood. On her other side, a red headed girl.

"Hi, I'm Luke Harkinia, welcome!" He greeted.

"Yo," the blonde/blunette said. "I'm Isabella Aran, I go by Isa though. That's my twin brother Isaac Aran." She pointed to the guy next to her, who simply nodded his head in acknowledgment. "And this is my cousin-but-not-really, Ray."

"Hi," Ray waved shyly.

"Well it's nice to meet you all-"

"Oh my god, are those my cousins-but-not-really?!" They heard a voice say. Mark suddenly popped up behind Luke.

"Oh dear," Isaac sighed.

"Isa! Isa! Ray!" Mark gently pushed Luke aside and gave a bear hug to the three of them. Isaac and Isa looked done with his shit, but Ray gladly accepted it.

"You call Isaac Isa too?" Luke asked.

"Of course I do!"

"And I hate it."

"I know."

"I'm going to my room, don't seduce anyone yet Isa," Isaac said with a warning tone as he headed upstairs. Lily came in from the sunroom just then, and they both caught each other's gaze. They stayed like that a while before Isaac continued upstairs.

"Papi," Lily wheezed quietly, clutching her chest.

Isa laughed. She stomped inside the house, putting her index finger on Lily's chest. She kept the smirk. "Stay away from my brother, 'Kay hon?"

"Excuse me?" Lily sneered.

"Stay away from my brother, unless you give me yours," Isa turned her head to Luke and winked, licking her lips. Luke went pale, before his face turned the color of Ray's hair.

"Ooooo someone's thirsty," Mark smirked.

"Romance is in the air," Ray laughed.

"Like hell you are! Stay away from him, he's too much of a softie," Lily spat.

"Hey!"

"Plus you don't have to right to choose who brother ends up with. It's his choice, not yours."

"Well it's your brother's too isn't it."

"Yeah but he's a puss, and he needs a pussy."

"Well I have one."

"Ew."

"You have one too, you know."

"That's not what I meant!"

"Can we please stop talking about what could either be the female genitalia or a scaredy-cat," Luke interrupted, his face a shade darker than Ray's hair.

Isa laughed again. She walked over to Luke and put her hand on his cheek. "Aw okay, I'm sorry." She pulled on his arm slightly, leading him upstairs. "Now how about you come with me and help me unpack?"

Luke, our of pure nerves and current dysfunctional comprehension, nodded.

"Good boy," Isa smirked, running a hand through his hair.

"Hey!" Lily screamed. "I said he needs a pussy not a bitch!"

"The number the amount that word has been said this chapter is unbelievable," Mark said.

"Think we should have a warning?" Ray asked.

"Sis, please, have you seen the lemons in this website?"

"Good point."

***

Isa quickly the shut and locked the door, putting her ear to the door and snickering as she heard Lily yell outside the door. Luke, meanwhile, sat on her bed and tried to remember how to breathe.

"Oh, Luke, you make me the happiest girl alive!" Isa moaned, holding back a laugh. That only provoked Lily more. Isa snickered and sat next to Luke on her bed.

"Messing with your sister is fun," Isa said. She turned her head to Luke, who was begging to calm down slightly. She smiled. "You okay? Sorry if I got you too flustered."

"No *wheeze* it's fine *wheeze* I just don't know how to breathe," he wheezed again. Isa laughed and patted his back.

"You're funny. Here, let's play twenty questions, but with my rules," Isa said.

"And *wheeze* those are?"

"Only I ask them and we have an unlimited amount."

"So like, an interrogation?"

"No, twenty according to my rules."

"So interrogation."

"Call it whatever you want and hey! Look! You're not wheezing anymore."

"I'm not am I?"

"Nope! Now let twenty questions start! Are you a boy or a girl?"

There a long pause.

"Isn't it obvious?" Luke asked.

"Ey ey ey, I'm the one asking the questions!" Isa grinned. "Answer it!"

"I'm a boy."

"Do like girls, boys, both, or neither?"

"What kind of twenty questions is this?"

"Just answer it!"

"Girls."

"Good."

"What?"

"Nothing, how old are you?"

"Twenty-one."

"How old am I?"

"I don't know."

"Take a wild guess."

"Uh... nineteen?"

"Right on the money!"

"Woohoo!"

"How tall are you?"

"6'4."

"In centimeters?"

"193cm"

"Meters?"

"1.93 m"

"How about inches?"

"76 in."

"Damn, you're tall, and quick at math."

"Thank you."

"Isn't your dad like, a midget?"

"Pfft."

"What's so funny?"

"You just called the Prince royal consort of Hyrule a midget."

"Isn't it true though?"

"When he was seventeen he was a midget when it came to height. He hit growth spurt kinda late."

"Oh, that makes sense."

"Anymore questions?"

"Of course! Is there gonna be a sequel?"

There was another pause. Isa used this time to think of more questions while Luke kinda blinked at her. He raised a brow.

"I thought it was confirmed that isn't going to be one."

"Yeah, but is Em kinda starting to change her mind because she's starting to love us?"

"As in you and me or the whole house?"

"Unknown. So is there gonna be one?"

"Answer: undecided."

"I'll take that."

"May I ask you a question?"

"Ask away."

"Why'd you die your hair?"

"How'd you know?"

Luke put his hand on the shaven side of her head, earning a slightly flustered Isa.

"I can kinda see the blue roots. Why'd you die it blonde?"

"Because I didn't want my mom feeling left out, being the only blonde in the family. Blue is dominant over blonde apparently."

"Makes sense." He still kept his hand there.

"Now back to me asking questions. How would you like me better?"

"Huh?"

"Full head of hair, or like this?"

"I'd like you either way."

"... just choose one!"

"Okay! Um, full head I guess."

"Okay, should I die my hair back to my natural color?"

"You look good either way."

"You think so?"

"Yeah, I do."

"I've been thinking about it, and I think I may just do it. My hair grows really fast, so it won't be long till you see me with a full head of hair!"

"I could always just take you to a salon, they could make it the same length as your normal hair using magic."

"Really?"

"Sure."

"Wow! Thank you!"

"No problem."

"Okay, will you ever let your hair down?"

"Once I feel comfortable enough, yeah."

"Okay, don't rush it then."

"Thanks."

"Sure, will you let me play with it?"

"If you want to."

"Thanks!"

That's when they noticed they had gotten a lot closer. Their foreheads were touching, Luke's Hand was on Isa's cheek, while her arms were wrapped around his neck, and she was almost sitting on his lap. They also noticed Lily had been gone for a while. They stared into each other's eyes for a while, till Luke broke the silence.

"Do you... like me?" He asked.

"... yeah. Do you like me?" Isa asked back.

"Yeah, I do."

"So it's official?"

"I wouldn't say so. I mean don't get me wrong, I like you, but we only just met."

"No I get it, but do you think it was love at first sight?"

"You really believe in that?"

"Psh, no. I believe in attraction at first sight though."

"I believe in that as well."

There was a pause. Luke broke it again.

"You know I can't delay this much longer."

"I know, but I have the feeling we're gonna get interrupted."

"By what?"

"More like by whom."

"You really think he'd do that?"

"He is Marth and Peach's son after all."

The doorbell rang just then. Isa chuckled. "There it is."

"Luke! Could you be a dear and get that for me?" They heard Mark yell from the sunroom. They both sighed and chuckled. Luke placed a gentle kiss on Isa's forehead and stood up.

"I'll see you later, m'lady," he did a quick bow and walked out the door.

Now it was Isa's turn to try and remember how to breathe. She clutched her chest, feeling her rapidly beating heart.

"My heart went boom," Isa whispered to herself. "That boy's got me helpless. Did I just accidentally make a musical reference?"

***

Luke opened the front door only to find... nothing. He looked left, then right, then forward again, and still nothing. He raised a brow.

"Mark are you sure you heard the bell?" Luke asked.

"Yeah I did why?" Came Mark's response not long after.

"There's no one here," Luke said.

"Huh, weird," Mark was at his side in an instant, and they looked around together. Mark looked up at Luke and noticed something on his head. He took it, inspecting the white feather in his hands.

"A feather?" Luke said. "How?"

"Bird maybe?" Mark said. Just then, something came crashing down in front of them, ending on their knees, it's long, white wings displayed fully beside them. They raised their head with a smile.

"Wow, an angel," Mark gasped.

"No shit," Luke said.

"Shh, no cursing," Mark whispered. Luke rolled his eyes. The angel stood up and waved.

"Hiya! I'm Philippa," she said. She had short brown hair that was tied into two buns at either side of her head and bright green eyes. "You can call me Phili though, what are your names?"

"I'm Roy Mark Toadstool, Prince of the Mushroom Kingdom and Altea, pleasure my lady," Mark took her hand and placed a kiss on it, earning an unamused glance from Phili.

"I won't my introduction as long," Luke said. "I'm-"

"Excuse me?" The trio turned around, facing the woods surrounding the house. Out came a girl with short black hair and purple eyes. "Is this Smash Ball House?"

"Oh my god!" Mark squealed. "It's my cousin-but-kinda-really!" The girl noticed at Mark and her smile grew.

"Mark?" She said.

"Morgan!" Mark squealed again and ran up to hug her. She looked like the air got sucked out of her.

"Mark I think you're killing her," Phili said. Mark let her go and apologized.

"Well great! Now we only have one more guest left!" Mark said.

"Roommate, you mean," Morgan said.

"Whatever!"

***

It was now late in the evening, almost night. Everyone was gathered around the TV in the living room, watching reruns of old Spongebob episodes on the floor. Even Isaac joined in.

"What the hell happened to Spongebob?" Isa said, stuffing popcorn into her mouth.

"They destroyed it, that's what," Isaac said, doing the same.

"The new ones suck ass," Morgan said. She raised her fist in the air. "Old Spongebob for the win!" The others joined, laughing at themselves.

"The last person hasn't arrived yet, I'm getting kinda worried," Mark said.

"Different time zones maybe?" Lily said.

"What's a time zone?" Ray asked.

"It means that their time is different than ours. For example, you know how it's about to be night time here?" Morgan said, Ray nodded. "For them, it could be the start of the day, or the afternoon, or midnight, and so on."

"Oh, but that shouldn't really affect their arrival, should it?" Ray asked.

"No, it shouldn't, I hope everything's okay," Luke said. The doorbell decided to ring just then. Everyone let out a sigh they didn't know they had been holding. "I'll get it," Luke said. He stood up slowly, trying not to step on anyone. He did purposely step on his sister's hand, gently of course. She shot him a glare, which he ignored. He opened the door, and there stood a short girl with short blonde hair and wide blue eyes. She smiled.

"'Ello there, Mate!" She grinned. He noted the accent. "I'm Sheila, put her there." She extended her hand. He slowly put his hand in hers, and kinda immediately regretted it boy, did she have a strong shake. He felt kinda dizzy from it as she entered the house.

"Hey Sheila," they all said, still looking at the screen.

"'Ello friends! Watching Spongebob I see! I'll unpack, change into my PJs, and join you in a bit," Sheila smiled and climbed the stairs.

"Actually, that's not a bad idea," Mark said.

"What? Change into our pajamas?" Isaac asked.

"Yeah! Sounds fun right?" Mark said. Everyone nodded.

"Good idea! Let's-a-go!" Phili jumped up, smiling. And so, the party starts once again in Smash Ball House.

*The End*
