"First day of school, man this is going to be exciting," I said to myself. The bus pulled up to the school. Victoria and I got off the bus and ran to our friend Trendy.

 " Emily,I am so excited to start sixth grade, aren't you," said Trendy. We have been friends since the second grade. 

" Yea, but where's Carly?" I asked them. 

"We haven't seen her yet. She's probably late like usual," said Victoria. We all laughed then walked to the soccer field. 

" You guys are in Mrs. Laynes right," I asked them. 

"I'm in Ms. Thundersons clas," Trendy replied. Wait if I'm not in the same class I'll have no one to talk to. I'm going to be alone! We're not in the same class oh this is so horrible. I thought to myself. 

"It won't be to bad we still have the same recess" Victoria told me.

"Ya but still ELA, Science, we might not be in the same class for any of those, and I need someone who will show up for Science Fair this year." Trendy told us. Last year Trendy had been partners with Carly, and she hadn't shown up to the Science Fair. So this year Trendy refuses to do anything with Carly, on projects.

"Hey you can be with me" Vicky, our nickname for Victoria, told her. Trendy looked at her for a second.

"So do you see any butterflies?" She asked looking around.

"Did you hear how many new kids were getting?" I asked.

"One, a girl" Trendy said still looking for butterflies.

"Her" I pointed at a girl that looked about our age. 

"Oh great she's chasing a butterfly!I told them and before we knew it Trendy was runnign straight at her.
