4 days Later..

"It's been days Louis, why hasn't he woken up?" Clem asks Louis, looking at the unconscious Y/N laying on their bed, Kenny's hat resting on the nightstand beside him.

"I- I don't know Clem, exhaustion?" He responds, shrugging with his gaze pointed down at Y/N.

Clem shakes her head, "How can that be? AJ woke up before he did, and he was shot!"

Louis is quiet for a moment, caught in his thoughts. "Ruby would know more about it then me.." He says, trying to get out of this situation as quickly as possible.

"Louis! This situation with the Raiders is getting worse and worse by the minute, and soon they'll be here. He has to wake up." Clem responds, beginning to feel annoyed. "Nevermind Louis, just go.." She adds, shaking her head.

Louis looks at Y/N one more time before exiting the room. Instantly, Clem drops to her knees beside the bed, looking over at Y/N with teary eyes. "Y/N.. you gotta wake up, I need you.. Please." She pleads, tears filling her eyes.

He doesn't respond, his face resting relaxed on the pillow. She gets off the ground, fixing her clothes, wiping the tears from her eyes. She leans over on the bed and kisses him on his forehead for a moment before pulling back.

"I need you.." She mumbles, walking to the door, she takes one final glance at him before opening it.

Your POV

How many days has it been? Where's Clem and AJ, are they alright? Your mind scrambles through these thoughts quickly as you awaken on the bed. You sit up slowly, eyeing the room wearily.

You slide over onto the edge of the bed and look over at the Night-stand that Kenny's hat rests on, swaying in the wind from the boarded, cracked window. There's a cool wind that sends shivers down your spine, the same feeling when something major is coming, like a storm or.. an attack.

You scramble out of the bed and fling open the door, making a mad dash towards the entrance. Clem sits on the first step with AJ sitting next to her, they both gaze towards the makeshift barricades in the courtyard.

The night moon shines on them, especially Clementine, her bronze, dirtied skin looking almost angelic in the moonlight. "Clementine?" You question, eyeing her.

She turns around, her eyes widening, she jumps up and runs towards you, sliding into your arms. "Clem.." You whisper into her ear, you and AJ trade glances as she hugs you.

"What is it Clem?" You ask, wrapping your arms around her tighter.

"I.." She mumbles happily, "I love you.." She says, pulling back from you, she gazes into your eyes before pushing herself back into your arms.

You smile, "I know Clem, I know, but why are you telling this to me now?" You ask, AJ begins to approach finally, eyeing the two of you in concern.

"They're coming, the Raider's, they're gonna attack. I can feel it." She answers, her hat resting against your chest lightly.

You can feel your stomach drop instantly, Clem is usually right about these things. You hug against her tighter, leaning your head against the top of her hat. You stand there for a moment before she finally pulls away, smiling lightly.

"You two done?" He asks, gritting his teeth in disgust. "I'm still not used to y'know.. kissing and stuff." He adds,

Clem sighs and shakes her head, keeping that small grin. "We weren't kissing, AJ." She responds, AJ shakes his head in response, throwing up his shoulders.

"Fine, anyways, Y/N can I please show you what we did outside for the raiders?" He asks, looking towards the entrance of the dormitory, his body shaking with excitement.

You nod, "Sure, goofball," You respond, he looks back at you in annoyance before running off towards the entrance with you and Clem following behind slowly.

You can't shake it, there's a feeling in your gut, Clem's right, they're going to come to take you, Lily included. Almost on cue, Clementine grabs your right hand as you walk together, you look over at her and smile at each other.

"We put walker heads on sticks to uh.. in..intim-" He stops, trying to pronounce the word right.

Clem shakes her head, "Intimidate them," She says, she turns to look at you. "Hope it works.." She mumbles,

"Course' it will." You respond, smiling.

Tenn stands on the watchtower, he turns to the three of you. "I'm glad you're awake Y/N, we were worried about you." He says, avoiding eye contact.

"Thanks." You respond, grinning at his awkwardness. He nods in return, AJ looks up at Ten, his eyebrows furrowed before a smile appears on his face. "Ten! Let me take watch now," AJ tells him, Clem looks over at him in surprise. "You want to take watch?" She questions.

AJ nods in response, "Of course, if those guys come. I don't think Tenn will be able to spot them." He turns back to Tenn as he responds. "Uh, alright." He says, climbing down the watchtower.

Ten reaches the bottom and begins to walk over to where Violet and Louis sit on the steps, eyeing the three of you. AJ climbs up then Clementine then you.

The small area is crowded with the three of you standing on it, gazing out into the forest where multiple walkers pace around, completely unaware that there's a school full of humans right next to them.

"Y/N.. who's that guy that was with you? Willy said he was wearing Walker skin." Clem questions, looking over at you. AJ grabs the dirty binoculars from the floor and begins to stare through them into the moon lit forest.

"James, he used to be with a group and move with the walkers, but now he just  lives out in the forest alone." You answer, looking out into the forest incase you'll see any sign of him

Clem raises an eyebrow, her arms crossed. "Think he'd help us?"

You shrug, meeting her eyes. "Maybe, but it's too late now." You say, nodding towards the sky where the moon peeks over the clouds.

"There's ten monsters out there." Aj says, pulling the binoculars away from his eyes. You sigh loudly and watch as he looks back into the binoculars.

"It's okay to be scared, AJ." You tell him.

Clem nods, "You know how to control that." She adds.

Aj once again pulls the binoculars away from his face and shakes his head, "He doesn't scare me." He says in an angry tone.

You close your eyes and exhale a loud breath, "He scares me, they both scare me." You say, opening your eyes again to see both of your long time companions shocked.

"W-what?" Aj stutters, not sure how to respond. Clem nods slowly, finally realizing this is one of the first of many important talks you'll need to have with him.

You crouch in front of Aj and place your hand on his shoulder, "Yeah, I know right. Hard to believe." You say, smiling awkwardly to relieve some of the tension.

He nods, eyes still wide in surprise. "How? You never seem scared." He responds, standing still.

You shake your head lightly, the smile dissolving from your face, leaving only a strained expression. You begin to speak slowly, allowing Aj to comprehend everything you're going to say. "Just because I don't seem scared doesn't mean I'm not, matter of fact, everytime I went outside, or spoke to new people, or scavenged for food for the both of you I was afraid. Afraid of dying, afraid of getting bit." You finish, turning your head down to look at Aj's dirty boots with a sad expression.

"I never knew." He says, his expression darkening.

You laugh nervously, "Yeah well, now you do, but you have to use that fear to keep going, for you, for me, and for Clem. Get what I'm saying?" You ask, raising an eyebrow, he nods again.

"Y/N, Aj, there's something out there." Clem says, squinting her eyes into the dark. You grab the binoculars from the floor and gaze into the dark with them.

It takes you a few moments but you see it, something like a cart, barely lit from the overarching moonlight. You can feel the butterflies appear again and you put them down quickly.

"They're here." You tell them, both reel in shock and look out into the dark to see if they can catch a glance of the raiders.

"We have to go tell the others." Clem murmurs, she walks over to the ladder and begins climbing down it, you and AJ follow close behind as the group enters the war-prepared courtyard.

"Raiders?" Louis questions, noticing the worried look on your faces.

You nod and Clementine speaks, "Yeah, they're here."

Omar lowers his eyes in determination, "We're ready," He says, though his face tells a different story it's ridden with fear, surprise and worry.

"Oh no.." Willy murmurs under his breath, biting his thumb nail in worry.

Mitch shakes his head and scoffs, "Assholes." He says angrily.

Ruby looks down at her shoes in worry, "I can't believe they're really here." She whispers.

Clem either doesn't hear her or ignores her and begins speaking again, "If they get inside, I'll keep them focused on me so Willy and Mitch can plant the bombs underneath the carts."

You shake your head, "No I will, so you can help the others with the plan or whatever."

Clem sighs and stares at you for a moment, "I- no, if they get inside we'll just watch each other's backs." She responds, you nod in agreement, turning back to the other kids who stare at you, still unsure of how to react to your awakening.

"Me and Willy plant the bombs underneath the carts, got it." He confirms.

Clementine nods and looks between everyone, "If they get in, we fall back--" She doesn't get to finish her sentence before she gets interrupted.

"The admin building." He interrupts.

Clem nods, "Exactly, and right into our traps."

You raise an eyebrow, "You even have traps set up, how long was I out for?" You question, Willy looks over at you finally, frowning then grinning suddenly. "A while, but yeah we have traps set up, even a giant log that'll smack right into the first person who walks into the Admin building's front door."

"Nice," You compliment, "Smart idea."

Louis looks over at you and Clem, "Uh, any final words of advice? You faced them and won, sort of, kinda." He questions, smiling nervously.

You shake your head, but sigh when Clementine doesn't say anything. "Well, just don't di-"

A shot rings out from near the front gate, you can practically hear the wind shoot past your ear and into the bottom left leg of Omar. Without any time to react, you push Clementine and Aj behind cover before dropping to the floor yourself. You watch as everyone instinctively takes places around the courtyard, afraid and unsure of where the shot came from.

"Holy shit!" Willy exclaims.

Violet and Louis both look over their cover at the slowly bleeding Omar, "God damn it, Omar!" They yell, but don't move, not taking any risks of being shot.

"Y/N!" Clem yells to the left of you, her body hidden by the small table of wood. Aj sits beside her, his eyes zoned in on Omar who now grips his leg and moans in agony. "Grab Omar!" She adds, you nod quickly, already moving towards him.

You grab Omar by his shoulders and begin forcefully pulling him towards cover, leaving a large blood trail behind.

"Come on, push!" You hear a familiar voice order, it's Abel.

Loud cracking begins to ring out from the gate, the barricades they set up slowly falling down with the pressure. A voice rings out again, sickening, and evil, "Clementine? Y/N? I know you're in there!" She yells, you can't quite tell where she's at but you do know she's just on the other side of the gate.

"Oh God, shit, no." Omar whimpers as you drop him behind the cover, quickly moving back to your original placement in the back middle of the court yard.

Something soars over the gate and lands atop the large assortment of tables, chairs desks and begins to burn through it quickly. Allowing Lily and her group to try and force the gate open quicker.

"Shit, my bow!" Clem exclaims, she runs towards a large wooden table where the bow sits upon it and grabs it off. Lily and her group finally penetrate the gate and enter the courtyard. Clementine, stuck in the open without any cover, flips the wooden table over on its side and pushes it to line up with the other barricades.

"Clem!" You whisper, she looks over at you as Delta slowly begins to survey the yard, examining each blade of grass but not yet stepping behind any tables. "Throw me the bow." You tell her.

She shakes her head, "You don't know how to use it; I-I practiced a little." She whispers in response, Lily's group continues searching the courtyard with quiet whispers.

"If you can get the hang of it, I can. Just watch my back alright? Make sure no one sneaks up on me." You say, peeking over the barricade, Clem sighs and tosses the bow across the small gap in between the tables where it lands in your dirtied hands, soon after she passes a few quivers which also lands in your hands quietly.

You quickly shoot up, knocking back a quiver into the bow as you aim it at Lilly. "Don't move Lilly!" You order, distracting everyone from Willy and Mitch as they move slowly, and cautiously to approach the cart from behind.

All the guns turned towards you, trained at all parts of your body above the table. "You won't get the chance." Abel says, his eyes glinting with murderous intent.

You smile slightly, trying to hide your fear with a false Masquerade of bravado. "Where's our new recruits?" Lilly questions, looking around the yard. She doesn't seem scared in the slightest. Your fingers itches with the quiver, itching to make that change.

"They aren't yours.." You growl, lowering your eyes in an attempt to match her energy.

"Search the yard." Lilly orders, looking around at her soldiers. She turns back to you, smiling at your face. "Y/N, we'll take you, Clem, them, and then that little boy you two raised."

You shake your head, you won't allow that to happen, you won't lose Aj or Clem. "Be careful Lilly, you might trigger a trap." You say, she lowers her eyes and crosses her arms. "You're bluffing." She responds.

You furrow your brow, "Take another step and find out." You say, she holds her face in a neutral expression, her eyes searching yours.

Willy and Mitch continue sneaking across the yard, they're almost there now but someone is circling around the barricade, forcing them to hide behind a large bush.

"You've changed." She says sadly.

"I grew up." You respond, the bow is starting to wear on your arm now but the adrenaline keeps it up.

You glance at Clementine and her eyes are closed, fighting back for control over her emotions.

Lily sighs, "I can see that, God, you are just like him. Lee would've been heartbroken knowing he taught you all the wrong things. That the sweet little boy who he loved and trusted to protect Clementine grew up like this." She finishes, eyeing you with that fake sad expression on her face. You can feel the heat rising to your cheeks, like coal to a train engine or gas to a car, fueling every part or your body with anger.

You can feel your face twist into every assortment of expressions, grief, anger, sadness, guilt. Until all that's left is cold hard anger. You glare at her, the one you used to intimidate anyone who threatened Clem or Aj but this time you can begin to feel the actual, fierce, cold hearted anger behind your own eyes. "Don't, don't you ever say his name!" You tell her, continuing to fight against every emotion in your body.

"I knew Lee bet-"

"Don't! You dare!" You order, she shakes her head in sympathy and pity. A hand rubs your pants leg, coolly caressing it. You can feel the unrecognizable hand of Clementine through your pants leg. You can feel most of the anger drain from your body and you cast a thankful glance her way without alerting Lily.

"Get. Out." You order once again, looking at Lily again.

Lily looks at you once again, straight into your eyes. "If you won't help me find the others I'll find someone who can." She looks around the courtyard with a sadistic grin as she speaks. "Minnie wanted to come along tonight to tell you how well she adjusted to her life." She says, obviously intending it for Tenn but she continues speaking. "She's happy, she had a girlfriend back here, friends she missed. One guy who could always make her laugh and her brother, oh she missed him the most."

You watch as Tenn hesitantly moves out towards Lily, you shake your head but he eventually leaves his cover but all the guns continue to stay trained on you. "Shit.." Clementine murmurs under her breath in a stressed tone. She obviously isn't enjoying hiding beside you as you do all the talking.

"Where are they?" Tenn questions, his voice quaking with fear.

Lily shakes her head, motioning for him to come closer which he doesn't. "Come with me, I'll take you to them." She says, in a fake sad tone.

Tenn steps back, "I-I I can't. I just want them back, please." He pleads, tears brimming in his eyes.

"Shut up Lily! I'm not letting you take anyone else away from me! You are a liar, a thief, and a murderer!" You tell her, Lily reaches for Tenn but your words obviously affect him as he steps away from her.

Mitch and Willy finally reach behind the cart and you watch as the bomb sizzles and glows with flames. It eventually reaches the actual components and bursts, sending pieces of the cart everywhere, the heat blast from the bomb knocks Lily to the ground and you let loose an arrow which she barely dodges rolling onto the other side of the ground.

"Shit! Shit! Shit!" She yells, noticing the dire situation she's in. Willy and Mitch run for safety behind a barricade as Violet and Louis draw their own bows which must've been hidden behind the barricades. You pull back another quiver and shoot it at Lilly which she barely dodges by dropping to the floor.

One of the soldiers aims her rifle at you and begins to pull the trigger, something grabs your leg, sliding your feet out from underneath you as a shot rings out from the rifle the girl soldier was holding. You fall sideways on the ground, just before your head hits the floor you feel Clem's hands catch you. She quickly releases them and allows you to sit up.

"We can't get mad now Y/N, we have people to keep safe, we have to make smart decisions." She says, you nod slowly, breathing in and out to release the rest of the pent up anger.

"Where's your bow?" You ask her, she looks at your hands, "Oh.."

"It's alright." She says, releasing a nervous laugh as footsteps quickly approach. You stand up again, pulling back another quiver but you're already too late. Mitch runs and tries to jump onto Lily to fight for her gun to no avail, she quickly unsheathes her knife and stabs him in the skull with a quick fatal blow.

"No!" Willy yells, Louis and Violet have to hold him back, not allowing them to fire anymore shots at the raiders.

"Open fire, kill them if you have to and take the rest!" Lilly exclaims, you quickly try to fire another shot that misses by an inch. Without any more quivers, you drop the bow to the floor and duck back down.

"Now! Go back." Clem yells, everyone scrambles for their lives as they try to make it inside the administration building, Violet and Louis have to practically drag Willy inside, once they do, you and Clem make your own hasty retreats inside the administration building, but they slow down significantly, trying to make sure to avoid any traps since your earlier comment.

You all run up the steps and hide behind the large wooden barrier which blocks anyone from seeing you. A man enters, and Clem quickly cuts a large rope and a giant, stale log with sharp bark pieces at the end comes swinging from the ceiling, impaling the man into the wall.

A girl enters soon after, her face spread in anger and agony, "No!" She yells, looking at the dead body of her comrade.

Everyone makes a break for the second floor, "Kill that boy and the girl!" You hear Abel say, the female runs up the steps, firing shots from her assault rifle as she does so, but luckily a couch is prepared. So when the girls make it to the flight of steps reaching the second floor you and Clem push it down, smashing the lady against the wall, her gun drops to the couch as she fights to free herself.

"God damn it! I told Lilly you wouldn't cooperate." He yells, another molotov glides over the railing and lands in the middle of the floor, separating you, AJ and Clem from the others. Loud coughing ensues from everyone, you push the sleeve of your jacket to your mouth and nose trying to finally breathe.

You open the door to the office the principal of the school would've used and enter it with Clem and Aj. "AJ, lock the door." Clem tells him, he walks over to the door and begins to close it but something kicks into it, knocking him back.

"Aj!" You and Clem exclaim, Abel appears at the door, his bandaged nub of an arm bleeding slightly. He opens the door and closes it behind him. "Now Lily's gone and we can have a nice little chat now." He says menacingly, approaching you and Clem. She raises her knife to him as you search for a weapon.

Clem slashes at the man's right hand which stabs him in the palm, he falls to the floor in pain, moaning and yelping. He quickly stands up and smacks the knife from Clem's hands, sending it cascading across the wooden floor.

You and Clem dive for it but the man picks it up quickly and backsteps, avoiding getting hit by the momentum of your bodies. Both you and Clem re-organize yourselves and back away slowly.

"What? Scared to fight now when someone has a weapon to fight back?" He asks, a cheery smile appearing on his face.

You laugh in response, angering him. He dashes towards you, moving with precision only a master could have. You twist your body leaving the knife to swish against the outer rim of your jacket. He swings again, this time you catch his arm and knee it, causing him to drop it.

That only seems to anger him more and he pushes against you with his shoulder knocking you towards the door of the balcony. Noticing how close you are to the door, you try to spin around him but he catches on quickly and shoves you towards the door harder, that maniacal grin still on his face.

You crash into the door sending it flying open, bits and pieces of wood and its splinters shoot out into the back of your neck. You knee him in the side, causing him to cough. Taking this advantage, you shove him against the railing.

Clementine appears beside you, holding the knife beside an awoken AJ. "When I see kids like you three, I think of how many people died to get you here and in the end, how worthless it was." He says, he smiles as you push him against the railing harder and harder until he leans back fully, causing the railing to shoot out flying into the courtyard below. He begins to fall but grabs onto your jacket, making you slip off the small platform. Leaving you to cling onto the edge with the rest of your strength. "Y/N!" They both yell, they reach for your hand but can't seem to pull you up. That's when you notice, Abel is hanging from your leg.

"God damn, just die already!" You scream, kicking him in pure anger. He continues to smile, his teeth shattered, his face broken and bruised. "I'm killing him, I'm ending it here." You push yourself off the platform, you should be able to survive if you land on him.

Shouldn't be hard at all right? You can hear the loud meaty smack of his body hitting the concrete, then you smack into his body, and he emits a loud, groan.

You roll off his body and hear a loud clicking of a pistol as you sit up on your knees. You look up to see Lily pointing the end of it straight into your forehead. You glare at her and she seems surprised that you would do so even if with a gun pointed at your head.

"Y/N!" Aj and Clem yell from above you. You look up to see her peeking over the edge. You trade glances then they leave the edge, probably to make their way down to you.

"Shit!" She says, "This should be easy." She murmurs.

You laugh, staring down the barrel of her pistol. "Really? Do it." You respond, you grab the tip of it and push it against your skull harder. "Do it!" You order her, you then sit there calmly, watching her mixed expression on her face.

"I'll see you in hell." You tell her.

"You'll be there a good long time before I get there." She responds, smiling.

You smile, "I don't mind waiting."

You glare at her in pure anger, making a promise to murder her with your own hands. Even if it takes your last breath. She stands in complete shock, surprised by your words. A frown appears on her face then anger. "Lily!" A voice screams, you look to see Clem diving onto Lily, fighting with her over the gun, you try to stand up but Abel grabs your foot holding you back.

"Aj! Help Clem!" You yell, he appears from the corner near the entrance of the admin building and runs over to Clem and Lily.

You kick Abel in the face, loud bones crack in his nose and he reels back, grabbing his face. Allowing you to run to Clem, Lily's already escaped her grasp, but not without any injuries. Her nose is bent at an odd angle while Clem huffs and puffs, raising Lily's own pistol at her.

Clem fires half the clip at Lily, not blinking as she fires, Lily dives for cover but Clem keeps firing the clip. "Help!" A voice rings out, to the right of you is the cart where Violet and Louis are being dragged off. Clem raises her pistol to the people dragging them off and fires into the one grabbing Louis. She turns to fire at the one holding Violet but the gun clicks, the clip empty.

"Shit! Violet!" Clem yells, Louis runs away from the group of people which hold Aasim and Omar in the cages and soon to be Violet.

"We cut our losses, pull back, fall back!" Violet yells, Clem tosses her pistol to the side and tries to chase after the already retreating cart but a molotov explodes in the middle of the gate, stopping her from exiting.

"Fuck!" You yell into your fists, feeling every type of emotion. You punch the ground, trying to release some of it but it doesn't help.

"Y/N! Clem! Walkers!" Aj yells, pointing to the gate where Clem is being surrounded by Walkers, some on fire some on not.

So much for keeping calm..
