New Orleans was buzzing with life as the city was celebrating New Year’s Eve.  The local bars are full of local people or tourists down for the celebration since they want to see what New Orleans is like during the holiday. “Now what are you doing here,  Little wolf?” Hayley heard a voice from behind her, the voice belonging to Klaus Mikaelson who is the original hybrid and the father of her daughter. The man that she has found herself on multiple occasions thinking about, wondering what it would be like if they were in a relationship and raised Hope together like that. However she doubted that they would work out especially since he didn’t have feelings towards her like that at least that’s what she believed.

“Just sitting here, enjoying a drink” Hayley answered him as she looked up at him, “what are you doing here?” she asked him back. She was sitting in the bar, watching the Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin ‘Eve on the tv because she didn’t have anything to do at the moment besides enjoying the peace. She wondered why Klaus had come to find her but she was sure that she would find out soon enough.

[C]“Nothing really” Klaus said as he sat down beside her and ordered himself a drink, it was almost 12 which would make it a new year and as Hayley would say, a new year with the same problems and dramas. “All my siblings decided to go to New York for New Years and I didnt want to be alone” he admitted which surprised her as he didn’t normally admit stuff like that. Hayley looked over at him, wondering what he was thinking as he looked back at her as well. “You’re the only person in the place that I can stand to be around so I figured your company would be nice to have.” He shrugged almost like he knew what she was thinking.

“Do you really want my company or are you planning something?” Hayley asked, making him laugh at her question. She knows him well by now to know that he doesn’t do anything without reason, “Stop laughing, I’m serious” she said as she finished her drink and set the glass down on the table. She was about ready to leave him here in this full bar alone.

“Oh I know you are very serious, little wolf,” Klaus reponsed as he nodded his head, “which is why it’s very funny to me,” he added as he watched her stand up to leave the bar. He stood up too and took her hand, “come with me, I have something to show you” he finally admitted as he grinned at her. That’s when she realized that he did have something secret going on and whatever it was, she was now a part of it whether she wanted to be or not.

“What is it?” Hayley asked him as she wasn’t completely sure if she could go with him since there was no telling what he was up to. Klaus smiled at her and shook his head while telling her that it was a surprise and he wasn’t going to tell her. She sighed to herself as she shook her head, thinking about how this was probably a bad idea but she went along with him. “Alright, lead the way, ‘’ she said as she nodded her head. He led her out of the overflowing bar by holding her hand and continced to hold her hand as they walked down the side of the road.

“It’s almost midnight,” Klaus said as he led her to a small place that was covered with Christmas lights since all of the flowers were dead from the cold weather. “Davina has been working on making a garden here, plants for magical reasons and the regular flowers are for tourists to come and view” he told her after they stopped in the middle of the garden. Hayley looked up into the sky as the fireworks were lighting up the night sky.

“This place is beautiful and there is a perfect view of the sky from here” Hayley said as she smiled, watching the fireworks. She wasn’t aware that Klaus was staring at her as he said that his view is always the view, he turned and looked at the sky before Hayley could see him looking at her but she caught him looking from the corner of her eye as he turned his head to look at the sky. As the time passed and there were only a few minutes left until it’s a new year, Hayley and Klaus could hear the people counting down to zero. Klaus waited until they reached zero to pull Hayley closer to him, catching her off guard as he leaned down and kissed her. “Happy New Year, my Little Wolf” He said after he pulled away from the kiss. Leaving Hayley kinda dazed from the sudden kiss but after a moment she told him happy new year.
