Now, manips are something people mess up a lot.

I understand that manips are hard work. But simply putting a picture of a model on a background doesn't make the cover enticing.

This is the cover I started with for my story Heathcliff.

I know what your thinking. Eww what is that. The faces look weird, everything is pixelated and it's just boring. 

How did a girl with graphics like that ever get into Graphic_Squad?

I know, it's hideous. But as a graphic designer, I couldn't leave it at that. 

And so, seeing as my photoshop bailed on me, I used PicMonkey and PicsArt. I added overlays, textures, affects, psds and light flares, and soon after, this is what it became.

If you need to scroll up and double check that you're looking at the same image, go ahead.

This might surprise you, but little things like textures can make quite a difference. So next time, don't hesitate to use them.
