Recently I made a cover for Tytowarrior  for their book 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice' and this is how the title looked:

Doing this isn't as difficult as you'd think. All you need is Phonto!

First you need to Google the rgb number for gold and silver:

In Phonto add your text, I used this font:

First add it in white and add a shadow to it, like this:

Now add the same text again. Make sure it's the same size and the shadow is exactly the same as the first one. For the duplicate text, change the colour.

The # number I added there is for silver, but I'll be using gold.

What you want to do now is strategically layer the gold beneath the white text so that you can come up with something like this:
