Yuuri's ankles ached as he stepped off of the ice, now capable of not rolling them when he stepped onto solid ground. The cheap skates (he'd left his at home since he didn't think he'd be skating) left blisters on his skin as he made his way to the bench to take them off. As soon as he reached them, he plopped down and tugged them off.

Yuko walked in a few minutes later, giggling when she saw Yuuri laying flat on the bench with his skates strewn across the floor. "I saw you skating."

Yuuri turned his head to look at her, "Oh. I'm kind of rusty- I haven't skated since the last competition."

He'd been on his way to the Grand Prix. He was almost to the point where he'd compete with Victor Nikiforov, his long time idol. But, much to his sadness, Yuko was almost being put out of business. Apparently, people hadn't been skating there for a long time. So, right before he purchased his ticket to the Grand Prix location, he got the call that said one of his sponsors had to back out and he couldn't continue.

Yuko sat on the bench by his feet, "It's been almost a year since then, Yuuri."

Yuuri pursed his lips and sat up. "It's not like I have much reason to continue. I barely made my way to the Prix. I wouldn't have won, especially with Victor competing."

Yuko smacked him over the head. "Don't talk like that. The triplets were in awe of your skate just now. They were watching with me from the booth."

Yuuri snorted, "I just did a few jumps. There was no order or anything."

Yuko's face went blank, "It was beautiful. Anyways, I think you should try to compete again. Skating is what you were meant to do, Yuuri-chan."

Yuuri laid back flat, "I don't think it is. I can't land a lot of my jumps. Didn't you see how sloppy my landings were? I was surprised I did even land them."

Yuko looked at her watch, playing with the zipper on her jacket. "Well, if you don't want to professionally skate, I say you make tutorial videos."

"Tutorial videos...?"

"Yes. Now, your mom is telling me to send you home. She says dinner is ready- pork cutlet."
