*Y/n's POV*

Nothing really special happened this week except some small signs of jealousy in Tom because of Abraxas. He has been trying to separate me from him but he puts really less effort in it. Rumors have spread that Elizabeth was angry on me because I grew closer to Tom, but Stephanie is trying her best to keep me away from those rumors and it's actually working because I really don't care about them. Today she is released from the hospital wing. Although it was just a minor injury she wasted a whole week in the hospital wing, probably because she doesn't wants to show her ugly nose to anyone. Meanwhile everyone is constantly blaming me for her broken nose and heart. Just because she is acting like a victim doesn't mean that I am the bad guy!

*Tom's POV*

Throughout the whole week I have been trying to separate Y/n and Abraxas but she has the audacity to ignore my efforts!! The only reason why I need her is for getting the extra information about Horcrux, so it shouldn't be a big deal if she dates him but somehow I can't tolerate seeing them together.

*Y/n's POV*

It is past curfew but I can't sleep, so I planned to go for a walk. 

When I was walking through the corridors of second floor I saw a shadow, a girl's shadow probably. I didn't wanted to get in a mess but curiosity got the best of me so I started following her. She wasn't really too fast and her speed matched mine, it seemed as if she wanted me to follow her. Then suddenly when we came to the entrance of the second floor bathroom she ran away, too quick for me to follow. I sighed and turned back to leave but out of nowhere a hand grabbed the back of my shirt and pushed me inside. The sudden push caught me off guard making me loose my balance and my head hit the bathroom sink. "We have an old score to settle."

All the pain in my head went away as I heard the voice. "Elizabeth." I hissed while standing up. "Now beg for mercy." She growled.

"What made you think I would do that?" I said trying to hold my laugh. "Because if you don't..." She paused and tightened her grip on her wand "...I will have to teach you a lesson." "Can you tell me exactly why you are angry on me ?"

"B-because you took Tom from me!" She was angry but still somehow I felt as if she is really broken "I obeyed him, I always did whatever he told me to, I humiliated myself, tortured my friends and became heartless FOR HIM!" She took a deep breath "And he gave you a position in the slug club and his group !!" A tear of anger, frustration and betrayal left her eye 

"You are the most ARROGANT FILTHY RAT IN THIS SCHOOL!! You don't deserve such a position !!" Unable to bear more pain she slowly sat down on the bathroom floor "And I am beautiful, popular, rich and better than you in every possible way!! I worked for him since fifth year! He promised me that he will give me something in return and all I got is a perfect's badge." More tears filled her eyes but she tried hard not to cry. Although we are enemies, although I hate her more than anything, I still felt pity for her. She practically sold herself to him, she should have seen this coming, she should have realised the heartless monster he is.

After a moment of silence she wiped her tears and stood up pointing her wand at me. Instinctively I pulled out mine too. She is broken because of Tom but she will take out her anger on me so I pushed all my thoughts of pity aside and prepared myself for the worst. She was the first to attack, her hex missed me by inches shattering the sink behind me. 

"Levicorpus !!" I shouted, she dodged it by running sideways but slipped and fell.

"Elizabeth I'm not trying to hurt you! We both will be expelled!!" I yelled at her but she only laughed.

"You don't need to worry about that, rat! You will not live long enough for getting expelled." She got up "Cruci-"

"SECTUMSEMPRA !!" I waved my wand wildly before she could finish. Blood spurted from her face and chest and she collapsed to the floor. I gasped realizing what I actually did.

A cold hand tapped on my shoulder, I flinched turning back and pointed my wand at the person standing behind me. "It's me" a cold familiar voice said. "Tom ?" I let out a breath I didn't knew I was holding. "Yes." He stepped a bit closer letting me see his face, then he looked at Elizabeth lying on the floor with blood everywhere.

"I-" I tried to speak but he put a finger on my lips making me shut up.

"I can handle this." He said it like a whisper.

I removed his finger "You can't."

I knelt down beside her and traced the deep wounds with my wand "Vulnera Sanentur." Tom was shocked as he saw the flow of blood easing and her wounds knitting. I got up as soon as everything became normal, Elizabeth was unconscious. "I will take care of this mess. Go to the Room of Requirements." He ordered and I obeyed it.
