Hello my loves, since I know you all are crazy and ship me and the shy guy next door more than the book's ships lol, I got something in my mind to make it interesting.

You guys wanted ME to write a book on my real life story so how about we change that and give YOU a chance to write that story?

I'm giving you a chance to be a part of this story which I will turn into a book on wattpad.

Let me explain you how it works:

1. You have to write a short story of as many chapters or even one chapter if you want of THE SHY GUY NEXT DOOR. It can be only one chapter or 5 chapters or more, I don't care, I just want all of my favourite readers to participate in this.

2. You have to take inspiration from the things I told you about all in the author notes. Starting from how excited I was to meet him till the new updates I'm about to give you guys right now. YOU HAVE to use those things in the story that you're going to write.

3. You have to add things from your own as well. This is how it's going to be different and will have your unique touch. You can add more things to how the characters meet, what happens between them, etc etc. But make sure to use the information that I provided as well. But you have to give it your own touch too.

4. You can write a sad chapter, a happy one, a romantic one, a comedy one, an adventurous one, an action one (I hope you don't get me kidnapped lmao even if you do I'm excited to read it). There's no restriction of ANYTHING. So write whatever you want. It can be a one shot like how we read imagines etc.

5. The girl's name should start from M. You can give her any descriptions you want of the appearance but if you want her to look like me then pm me or comment down here and I'll give you my physical appearance description.

6. And our favourite shy guy next door can either be made Zayn, Harry, Louis, Liam or Niall. Or if you want to make a completely new character then I'll give you his description right now. He is tall, I guess around 5'11. He wears glasses he's not a nerd but he looks very hot in them. He's muscular, loves going to gym. He loves animals. He is very shy (that we all know). He doesn't talk much to girls. He's sweet and if ever seen talking to someone, he's just smiling politely and bobbing his head in response, he doesn't speak much. He respects me a lot, all of the guys (his friends) are always looking up at me but he doesn't raise his head but whenever he comes in contact with me, he always smiles at me. He talks very softly and gently. He helps everyone around in the neighbourhood. He is 19. The rest you'll get to know as you read the new book on my account right now. I'VE GOT NEW UPDATES!!

7. You have to publish the book on your wattpad account with the title "THE SHY GUY NEXT DOOR CONTEST"

8. You can make your own covers if you want but I have this cover already made, so if you want to upload this one, you can, just put your username below on this cover too. I would also love to see your own made covers or if you ask someone else to make it. I'm trying to keep it as creative as possible.

9. In the blurb you have to write:

"This is a short story/one shot entry for The shy guy next door contest by @Mumal16. The final book will be on her profile".

The rest of the description can be of your choice. Add the hashtag in the description #Theshyguynextdoorcontest so it's easy for me to find it.

10. Make sure to also tag me in the first chapter so I can find your book.

I hope each one of you will participate in it. Even if you have never written anything before. I would love it if you can take a part in it and atleast write 1000 words or so. I'm so excited!

Your enteries would be combined together and I will write the final book of THE SHY GUY NEXT DOOR. That book will be dedicated to you guys.

Right now I'm making a contest book of Shy guy next door, which will have all the combined details in it which means all my author notes of turning a nerd into a bad boy, in which I wrote about him. So this way, it will be easier for you to find out the details and it will have new updates on the shy guy next door as well. So add it to your libraries. It's on my profile.

This project is just a source of entertainment and enjoyment for you and I both. And if I end up with him, I'll show that book to him as well lmao. So let's get started. Shall we?
