Trixie squealed so loud that it woke Sister Monica Joan from her tv show obsessed fixation.
She doesn't have to keep the news to herself for long because a trampede of nurses and sisters come downstairs.
"What is it? Is there a fire?" Sister Julienne asks in confusion.
"Patrick and Shelagh are getting married, in..." She looks back down at the invitation.
"Two weeks' time!"
Another round of squeals echoed through the room. Shaking the chandelier positioned. above them.

Shelagh can't believe this day had come, she's overjoyed and so thankful for the newfound family supporting her. She'd dreamed of her wedding day since she was a young child. Although at that time she didn't think she'd have two children and be a 27 midwife. Life does that sometimes.
Patrick is her one true love.
Shelagh didn't used to believe in true love but then Patrick came into her life, and she felt whole. It changed her for the better and she'd never go back.
She'd lived a life in fear of abandonment, that vanished when she met Patrick, and she is so happy that she's lucky enough to spend the rest of eternity with him. And their ever-growing family.
Speaking of her and Patrick have just recently welcomed another child into their family.
May stole their hearts and as she is the age as their other daughter, it seemed to work into them quicker. They couldn't imagine leaving her in the orphanage, she was part of the family, always.
Nobody has seen her, as they'd adopted her the prior month and wanted to warm her up to her siblings first.
There is something else, although that is most definitely for later.
The first guests arrive, and Patrick starts to get nervous, he's so ready to marry Shelagh.
The ceremony starts soon and his friends, that being Fred and Cyril, are stood beside him, the bridesmaids will come down soon, the only one knowing about May is Sister Julienne and so she will be coming down just after them. Shelagh had wanted the woman, whom she'd recently become very close to, to walk her down the aisle.
Trixie, Val, Barbara and Lucille walk down first, they stand on the side where Shelagh will soon stand. Then that was followed by Timothy, who was a very enthusiastic ring bearer. Carrying the wedding bands with such care. He gives his son a pat on the back, knowing what's next.
The moment is almost here, but first he gets to see his daughters, the flower girls. The two of them, both 4, bounce down the aisle, throwing petals and giggling to themselves, Patrick kisses them both on the head, May stands on Shelagh's side while Angela stands beside Timothy.
Everyone is shocked but don't have long to focus on it as Shelagh and Sister Julienne make their entrance, Shelagh is breathtaking, Timothy can't hide the tears, and he doesn't want to. This is his mum, he loves her and she looks like a princess, well better yet, a Queen.
Patrick does the same, he couldn't have fathomed just how gorgeous his wife would look, she is positively glowing.
"Mr Turner, do you take Shelagh as your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?" Patrick can feels the tears gathering in his eyes.
"I do"
"Miss Mannion, do you take Patrick as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?" She is crying slightly already.
"Yes, I do."
"I would like to ask that if you have any vows, you say them now" The priest asks. Patrick goes first.
"My Shelagh, my darling, I can't believe I'm so lucky to be standing with you today, marrying you today. I have so many words for you and yet so many seem insufficient now. If there is something I will always remember, it will be the post on Facebook. A missing scarf, that's how we met. When i first saw you i was struck by how gorgeous you are, you had Angela on your hip and you were so grateful, you asked if there was anything you could give me, to show your thanks. And i said a date. That was the best thing I've ever done. I love you so much and I'm so excited to love you for the rest of my existence." Patrick is crying, and he doesn't care. This is his family, they don't judge.
"My goodness, I'm a mess now, I love you so much too, I'm so glad that i met you that day, I remember that after we'd talked over many cups of tea, all which went cold, we went to find the children, finding Timothy and Angela curled up under a blanket, cuddling together. That was the moment I knew I couldn't separate them. I'm so glad we've be lucky enough to welcome a new family member already, May, our family is still growing but this is our family now and I love it. I love you."
Not a dry eye was in the room, not even the priest.
"Wow, that was beautiful" The priest sniffles "The part we've all been waiting for, you may kiss."
The two lean in, fireworks still as big and bright as the first time.
They walk out of the church, not until they knew Timothy was behind, holding the hands of his sisters.

The wedding reception is a blast, however, they have just one more thing to announce.
Patrick stands up and clears his throat into the mic, everyone turns towards him.
"First of all, thank you everyone, for coming today, to watch our family become one. Now we did keep one more secret from you, now if you look at the bottom of your drink coasters, the next announcement is there." Patrick and Shelagh look at each other, then at their children.
That's when a squeal comes from non other then Trixie.
"BABY TURNER DUE AUGUST 2014!"
/
The whole family, that being the sisters, the nurses and the children, are sat in the waiting room. They can hear the pained screams from Shelagh, nobody is suprised after 12 hours of slow progressing labour.
Then a shrill cry fills the air, and everyone releases a breath they didn't realise they were holding.
Patrick soon comes out of the room holding a tightly wrapped bundle.
"Everyone, Shelagh and myself would like to introduce our baby. Our son..." Timothy jumps up and starts cheering, glad that he isn't outnumbered anymore.
"Teddy, Teddy Edward Turner"
