in a walker across the untouched red terrain
she stood indignantly, staring up at the sky
there was something which had
crawled into her suit
but it wasn't something she'd expected
instead it had swelled in her
when she saw the sky ignite
into fire
she had ran
her walker wasn't that fast, though
and she had seen through the sheen
of her helmet, right on the edge
the comets of the cosmos raining retribution
streaking across her vision
enveloping her in a dust cloud
and leaving her with the blinding light
of the moon fragment's destruction
before she herself was consumed
by its enormous maw
